If you are in the middle of your fertility process, or even if you are just beginning your journey, you know that it is an emotional journey. It is not just the financial stress that many people feel, but the emotional stress that takes the most toll on individuals and couples. Counseling is often recommended to help you get through this time.
Many people going through fertility treatments report feeling sad, lonely, hopeless and depressed. They feel that they are the only ones going through this, even though they see so many people at the clinic who are probably going through the same thing. They don’t know where to turn to. They might take their stress out on their friends, family or even their spouse. They don’t know if they should or shouldn’t feel what they are feeling and they begin to second guess all of their feelings.
Fertility counseling can help validate your feelings and what you are going through. Yes, it is natural to feel alone. Yes, it is normal to feel sad. Yes, it is normal to feel angry or jealous when you hear of somebody else’s pregnancy. If you are bordering on clinical depression, you can get the help you need.
If you are feeling any of these things, ask your Doctor to recommend a counselor or therapist that specializes in Fertility. You want someone who is an expert on working with couples or individuals who are going through fertility treatments. Your clinic might have someone on staff or might no someone in the community. Even though you aren’t even considering adoption, many adoption agencies will be able to direct you to a therapist to help you. Most couples that choose to build their families through adoption have gone through their own fertility journey and so this is a contact that the agencies have.
Counseling is different then support that you would get through a support group or online fertility chat group. For some people, support groups are all they need. The biggest validation they need for their feelings is having someone else say “I feel the exact same way” and learning how they are getting through it.
The most important thing for you to know is that you are not alone. There is help out there for you, all you have to do is ask. So, whether you go to a counselor, support group, or join an online chat group, you are encouraged to talk about what you are going through and get help the need to go through your own emotional fertility journey.

If you are tired of the look on the inside of your car, why not do something about it? It doesn’t take much to make just a few changes so that you car has a different look. There are so many products available for you to update your old car’s interior and having it looking new in now time. Types of custom car interiors range anywhere from, seat covers to carpeting and from the necessities to the extras that make your car unique.
Custom seat covers and car upholstery are the biggest step you can take to change the interior look of your car. You can choose from virtually any color or material. This includes purple velvet for your lowrider and sleek, black leather for your luxury car. You can choose to reupholster your entire interior or just simply cover the seats with a different fabric. Fairly easy to install seat cover kits can be purchased for the “do it yourselfers”.
If your carpets are getting worn out, you have few options to fix this problem. The cheapest option is to purchase floor mats. They cover up the wear and tear and prevent anymore from happening. You can buy custom floor mats in different colors or personalize them with a saying or design. A more expensive option is to have new carpeting installed or to install a molded replacement carpet yourself. They come in just about any coloring imaginable.
Other options outside of the typical seat and floor restorations are available to give your car an even more custom work. Some of these parts include dashboard kits, steering wheels and covers, parking break handles and gauges. Chrome, gold and different color materials help you to personalize your car. Basically, if you can imagine it, you can find it.
So, if you are ready to ride in style, start that interior restoration. Get rid of that worn carpeting, make your seats more inviting, and add some color or metal to your cars interior. Make your car go from tired to exciting in not time flat.

Taking a girl out on a date already says a lot. But this whole business is not just about seducing someone. You must gain the confidence and trust of the person sitting at the other end of the table. More than that, you must make her feel good in your presence and even want more. How to do this? Simple! When you’re not flirting with her just let her take control for a while.
Always keep in mind that women’s favorite subject is themselves. This little “bug” in their software gives men a big advantage in a conversation and that is curiosity. Yet, only few use it because of the misconceptions surrounding curiosity in general. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but when a conversation between a man and a woman is concerned, I don’t think it ever hurt anyone. What I’m trying to say is that if she says something that makes you curious… just ask her! This will tell her that you are interested in her person. Nevertheless, watch out for those not so discreet questions that could turn you into a cat and get you killed.
Another thing most men forget is that women, even the prettiest, disregard themselves. If you discovered something about her that you really like make sure she can feel your admiration. This rule applies to anything from the color of her eyes to the way she back-parked her car for example. Still, try to use original ways to make compliments and remember that you’ll receive the most “points” for cherishing her intelligence.
Always listen to her when she talks! Sounds too obvious? Maybe, but the key thing is that it counts less if you’ve been really listening to her as long as she thinks you weren’t. Therefore you can use several tricks like saying confirmation phrases (“I see”, “yes” etc.) showing that you’re following her. Just don’t do it so much that she mistakes you for her shrink. Re-telling what she just said is another useful skill as long as you don’t abuse it. You simply rephrase what she said and she’ll know you got the point. Nevertheless it can be very annoying if you overuse it.
And, as I mentioned earlier, when she makes you curious about something just ask her! This proves you were listening in the first place. The same happens when you make a compliment based on something she just said.
But curiosity can also be used whenever you run out of topics in a conversation. Every woman is curious by nature so all you have to do is to stir her curiosity and forget all about you running out of interesting subjects or her getting bored.

Web development has greatly increased in popularity over the last 5 years. Many new design concepts, code standards, and technology advances have happened in a short amount of time. With that, so has the knowledge and demand for better, more independent and functional web design packages.
More and more we are starting to see a shift in consumer demand for the increasingly popular website content management system.
Most website owner’s are typical business entrepreneurs who don’t have the time to chase down their web design company for some minor updates that usually cost an arm and a leg. Updates for websites are becoming more and more necessary. It’s now a reality and a trend that in order to make something happen with your website online, you need to stay on top of things and create new content to keep visitors coming back.
As entrepreneurs, we all get new creative ideas almost every day on how to improve our products or services. Without the ability to update our own website’s, those fresh, new ideas may not become a reality for a long time.
Website Content Management Systems Are The Future:
This is somewhat of a call out to all web design companies. If you cannot offer content management to your clients, you may be left in the dust within a few years. The more affordable content management becomes, the more in demand it will be. Without giving your prospects this crucial option, you may lose a great chunk of your potential clients to the next web design company that has a fully automated system that states: “all the consumer has to do is login and get started.”
Granted, there will always be a need for web designers. That is an understatement but with the option of content management, you can also decrease the amount of work needed to put into each project and concentrate more on marketing your business and it’s services.
Content Management Gives The Consumer The Freedom They Need!
Without giving too much freedom that may make the website look bad, there is a high demand for the ability to update a website when needed, not when convenient. People like to have power over managing their own company, content management gives them the freedom they need to expand on their own terms, without extra costs.
Here Are Typical Features Of A “CMS”:
- Add/remove/edit pages.
- Update content within each page.
- Add images where needed.
- Update contact information.
- Show updated listings (i.e. Real estate listings, Mortgage rates).
- Add new tips on their industry everyday (The spawn of blogging).
+ Many extra features not listed here.
Take The Real Estate Industry For Example:
In the last 2 years, “Real Estate Content Management Systems” are popping up everywhere we look. I can recall reviewing over 50 websites that offer this style of service. And why not! Real estate agents as a whole spend a great deal of money marketing themselves. Just in the last couple of years, real estate agents have seen more value in marketing online than they have through regular print media. Many real estate agents I know would rather spend $4,000 for a website rather than spend $4,000 getting listed in the local telephone book.
In Conclusion:
If you offer web design services and have (CMS) Content Management Systems available to your visitors, this might be the time to consider this ever growing popular service for your company. You won’t regret putting in the effort of developing your own system and marketing it, there is a shifting demand for this ever-popular freedom online.

Flower bulbs need a good, long, winter’s sleep. Like some people we know, if they wake up before they are fully rested they get kind of cranky, and then they don’t bloom well at all.
Actually what happens is during a mild winter, the soil stays too warm and the bulbs begin to come out of dormancy early. They start to grow, and once the tips emerge above the soil line, they are subject to freezing if the temperatures dip back down below freezing. And that’s usually what happens. After the bulbs have emerged, they freeze and then don’t bloom at all, or if they do it’s a very sad display.
Another reason this happens is because the bulbs are not planted deep enough. They may have been deep enough when you planted them, but as the soil goes through the freezing and thawing process, the bulbs can actually work their way up in the ground. One way to keep your flower bulbs sleeping longer, which will protect them from freezing, is to mulch the bed.
In the fall just apply a 3-4″ layer of well composted mulch. This layer of mulch will do a couple of things. It will maintain a higher moisture content in the soil, which is good as long as the soil isn’t too soggy. Well composted mulch also adds valuable organic matter to the planting bed. Organic matter makes a great natural fertilizer.
A 3-4″ layer of mulch also acts as an insulator. It will keep the soil from freezing for a while, which is good because you don’t want the bulbs going through a series of short cycles of freezing and thawing. Then when the temperatures drop below freezing and stay there for a while, the soil does eventually freeze. Then the mulch actually works in reverse and keeps the soil from thawing out too early. Keeping it in a frozen state is actually good because the bulbs remain dormant for a longer period of time.
When they finally do wake up it is spring time, and hopefully by the time they emerge from the ground the danger of a hard freeze is past and they will not be damaged. If you can keep them from freezing, they will flower beautifully. The extra organic matter will help to nourish the bulbs when they are done blooming, and the cycle starts all over again.
We also plant annual flowers in the same beds with our spring bulbs. By the time the danger of frost is past and it’s time to plant the annuals, the top of the bulbs have died back and are ready to be removed. The mulch that is added in the fall also helps to nourish the annual flowers, as well as improve the soil permanently. Any time you add well composted organic matter to your planting beds, you are bound to realize multiple benefits. The key words here are “well composted”. Fresh material is not good.

The term IVR is short for Interactive Voice Response, which
is a telephony technology that allows interaction between
callers and a phone system to acquire or enter information
into a database. More and more companies are turning to IVR
to help reduce the cost of common sales, service,
collections, inquiry and support calls to and from their
company.
Interactive Voice Response or IVR is one of the most common
telephone functions in use across the business community and
is capable of bringing remarkable benefits to your company.
IVR systems allow 24 hour access to a company from its
customers via its phone system. In today’s busy modern
world, most callers expect on first contact with a company,
to be handled via some kind of Auto Attendant or Interactive
Voice Response (IVR) system. This method of call handling is
generally accepted as long as the caller is given ample
opportunity to opt out of the IVR system and be able to
speak to a live agent.
IVR systems offer a cost effective and money saving way of
handling customer calls twenty four hours a day, seven days
a week. The handling of routine phone requests for
information can consume a substantial amount of company
resources and ultimately money. Interactive Voice Response
systems, tailored to a company’s requirements can provide
much the same information as a live operator at a fraction
of the cost both financially and resourcefully. To put
things in their most simple form IVR systems let callers
interact with your company via its telephone system.
IVR systems hugely reduce customer call handling costs, and
can be introduced into your company environment in a number
of ways. The most basic IVR systems simply allow you to
record a message that is played when a customer presses the
appropriate number on the phone keypad. The more advanced
Interactive Voice Response systems allow callers to interact
with a company on a much greater scale. For example you
could set up an IVR to retrieve specific account information
that is relayed to the caller through the implementation of
text-to-speech recognition technology. This technology
allows IVR systems to read specific information from a
database and then relate that information back to the
customer in spoken format.
Typical IVR – Interactive Voice Response System Applications
The potential applications of IVR systems are virtually
endless. IVR systems can be used to automate a wide range of
services and requests for information. By combining the
input of a caller with tailor made scripts, IVR systems
allow callers to call into a company or IVR hosting company
using a touch-tone telephone, and then to interact with the
system in real time. Below is a list of example IVR
applications:
1. Automated account payment systems
2. Customer account information
3 Banking service for account balance transfer
information
4 Customer market surveys
5 Emergency notifications
6 Virtual receptionists
7 Call centre automation
8 Order status and tracking
9 Package tracking
10 Virtual PBX’s
11 Voicemail services
12 Voice instant messaging
13 Bill reminder
14 Bill collection
15 Telesales
16 Virtual agents
17 Auto attendants
18 Call routing
19 Call recording solutions
20 Plus many, many more
Benefits of IVR Systems
1. Integrated Voice Response systems can be extremely
beneficial to companies by cutting down on live call
handling time, thus saving money and enabling staff to be
free to concentrate on other business areas.
2. IVR systems can benefit callers by either allowing
access to personalised information or, directing them to
the right department or, by a combination of multiple
input types and selections via menu choices involving
telephone keypad input and speech recognition.
3. IVR systems allow callers to retrieve or access
information quickly with or without additional human
assistance.
4. Integrated Voice Response systems allow companies to
easily expand their hours of business, without the need
for live operators to be on hand. This allows callers to
call at their convenience and still be able to carry out
a multitude of tasks automatically.
5. Call queuing times to departments within a company
can be drastically reduced. With IVR systems, calls can
be transferred to appropriate departments through the
menu selection process.
6. IVR systems allow company representatives to
experience lower call volumes thorough the automation of
repetitive tasks. This allows these representatives to
manage their calls more efficiently and lets them to
concentrate on more important issues.
7. Through the implementation of a good Integrated
Voice Response System, companies may actually be able to
expand their call capacity and respond to larger call
volumes through the correct management and routing of all
inbound calls, reducing the handling cost per call ratio.
8. For companies who accept payments via the telephone
IVR systems can fully automate this task, allowing them
to process transactions anytime of the day, any day of
the week.
9. For when call volumes are high, IVR systems allow
companies to highlight new products, updates or product
information etc while a caller is on hold.
10.Companies are able to monitor call progress and
transactions through the use of daily call activity reports.
Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) IVR or Hosted IVR The
Choice Is Yours
CPE – This is equipment that is purchased or leased by a
customer and is then located, hosted and maintained at the
customers site. For most companies this is an expensive way
of harnessing the power a good IVR system can bring to any
business due to the initial cost of the hardware and
installation work that would be required. For those
companies that have the necessary funding for CPE there are
of course benefits as well as drawbacks. CPE allows you to
take full control of your IVR system and will also allow for
future company expansion, though many hosted IVR solutions
do allow for this also. The main drawback to CPE IVR
systems is that you would need continuing technical support
and maintenance either from your own internal staff or
outsourced to the IVR system provider.
IVR Hosting – If a customer prefers not to host an IVR
system on their premises, is restricted by location, lacks
IT support or quite simply cannot withstand the initial
financial outlay required for outright purchase then a
remote IVR hosting solution that can be tailored to a
company’s requirements could be the answer. This option is
particularly attractive for small to medium sized businesses
who wish to take advantage of a fully featured Interactive
Voice Response system, with a vastly reduced initial capital
outlay, as well as eradicating the need for system IT
maintenance, and support.
Whichever form of IVR system you decide to implement, it is
better to ask the advice of experts before you go ahead and
purchase any hardware or sign any form of lease agreement.
A good IVR systems provider or IVR hosting company will take
the time to sit down with you and discuss your requirements
in detail before helping you make a decision on what type of
system you should opt for.
Thanks for reading.

Visiting museums, galleries and theaters can give one a new perspective and outlook in life. Looking at artistic pictures, paintings, artifacts, sculptures can give life a brand new dimension that you’ve never seen before.
It’s not possible to visit a place without delving a little bit into the historical value of the place and the best place to find evidence of its history is the museum. There are many top world-class museums everywhere in the world. For example, there’s the world-class Cleveland Museum of Art whereby there’s continuous upgrading to accommodate the stream of visitors to the museum. And of course, if you ever step foot into Detroit, don’t forget to visit the Detroit Institute of Arts. There, you can check out many intriguing Ancient Arts collection especially the Frankenthaler’s “The Bay”. The Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco is another not-to-be-missed museum because there’s more than 70,000 pieces of arts and images there; the most popular ones in the museum features works by Rodin and Rembrandt.
If you’re a fan of Italian artists and painters, you’ll fine a huge collection of work from Italian artists at Galleria Delgi Uffizi. The art museum features works from famous Italian artists like Botticelli, Veronse and Giorgione. Of course, Russia used to be really famous for its creative painters and artists too, for instance, some of the most popular works are housed in the Hermitagae Museum in Russia. This is where there are approximately 2,000 holdings that contain more than 3,000,000 pieces of world masterpieces.
Who can forget France when we’re talking about museums and world-class art? Musee du Louvre is another art museum that is surely not-to-be-missed if you visit France. This is the museum where the Mona Lisa, The Raft of Medusa, Venus de Milo and the Victory of Samothrace is housed. Therefore, your visit to France is not complete without visiting this art museum. We’re talking about truly renowned art pieces here, not to be seen anywhere else. The visit to this art museum will definitely be worth your time.
Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid, Spain, is also known as Museo del Prado. It’s, by far, not the largest nor the most exquisite art museum in the world but this museum contains some of the best art pieces to be ever created in this world! Museo del Prado contains some wisely selected art pieces. While you’re there, why not pick some extremely unique greeting cards (with smaller versions of some world class art pieces) to send home to your friends and family?
The National Gallery of Art in the Washington, D.C., is also not to be missed. In fact, you’ll be astounded with the effort they put into making their website coordinate with the design of the actual museum. The National Gallery of Art website is one of the most extensive and aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-use art gallery websites that I have ever visited. You can go on a virtual tour by visiting the museum’s website before you decide to pop on over to the museum.

If you are planning a family vacation, why not make it an extended family vacation and receive a great group travel discount? Travel with extended family?! Ok, we aren’t crazy and we know it isn’t for everyone, but we have found that the bigger the group the bigger the savings. So, if a big family gathering isn’t your idea of a vacation, you can round up a large group of friends.
The first thing you need to do is to contact a reputable travel agent or tour group, you can do one stop shopping to plan your group vacation. This allows you to plan the vacation to include your group interests instead of being stuck with a set vacation package. You often receive cheap tickets for airfare and discounts to points of interests, for hotel fair and for meals. Often, you can negotiate a “meals included” price, although this might mean you get whatever they prepare for you.
If you are planning anything from a family reunion or a reunion with friends to a work or company retreat, there is no better way to build memories than through a group vacation. Group travel can be overseas or in country. Some of the best group travel deals that we have found are actually for cruises. Cruises even give good discounts on groups as small as a family of four, with it working out that one of the family members is essentially going for free.
If you want to get away by yourself or the one you love, you can still take advantage of group discount rates. You can work through tour groups or travel agents to locate group vacations that are open to the public. You might be joining 20 people you don’t know, but you will pay much less then you would if you went by yourself or just as a couple. In addition, this type of group tour often offers you choices of activities. So, if going a bull fight is not your thing, you can go to the local market and shop.
There are endless group rates and cheap tickets possibilities available. You just need to decide what kind of vacation you want to have, whether it is a relaxing cruise or hiking the European Countryside and then decide whether going with family, friends or strangers is more your style. In the end, you can make your dollar stretch a lot further if you take advantage of group travel offers and discounts.

House Flipping is the term used by investors who purchase a home for the sole purpose of quickly relisting the house for a profit. In many hot markets, a house can appreciate in as little as a few days! In these markets, it doesn’t take long to realize a profit. However, this is the exception rather than the rule.
More commonly, an investor purchases a home in a hot market, performs some general repairs, fixes obvious problems, paints, and replaces flooring. This means that the investor must hold onto the property for a few weeks to a few months. In this case, you must be able to afford to pay the mortgage for a few months.
When searching for an investment that you want to flip, you must find the right property. Not all homes are good candidates for flipping. Certainly, buying a home in a depressed area would not be a wise decision. You should look for an ugly home in a nice neighborhood.
Many potential investors ask whether they need to be a handyman or contractor to successfully flip a house. Not at all! You can be the “general contractor” and manage the house repair while you get it ready to resell. Of course, much of your profits will go to the people doing the work on your home, but you don’t have to give up your “day job” to get the work done.
When budgeting for your flip, a good idea is to get estimates from several contractors. Ask them to quote the price for the fix-ups, and more importantly, the amount of time it will take to complete the job. Remember that the longer the project takes, the more you’ll be paying on your mortgage.
Once you have several firm quotes, double the amount of the quote as a closer estimate to what you’ll actually spend. Unknown problems will be uncovered during the remodel and you’ll need to have some extra capital and have extra time available to complete the job.
Once you complete the project, get the house back on the market! And sell for a profit. Many people are successfully flipping houses as you read this. And many are making huge profits. But the first step is to start! So go buy a property and get it fixed up. Good luck!

Before you begin your science fair project, you need to keep in mind that the fair is in essence a competition. You need to be aware of what the judges will be looking for when they view your projects. With a little forethought and awareness, you can turn an ok project with an average display into the first place winner.
You have heard the term that first impressions mean the most in reference to people. Well it applies to your science project display as well. A neat, tidy display that is well labeled is best. Not too wordy, but enough information so that they don’t leave your table without any questions. Progress photos, diagrams or charts that depict your findings are always helpful. Most people are visual. It is one thing to read about it, it is another to see it with your own eyes. Make sure your display board and area are clean and not cluttered. Nothing should take away from your project.
If your science fair project involves giving a demonstration, practice it at home at least three times. You want it to run smoothly. You want the judges to know that you know what you are doing. Make sure you can answer any and all questions and that you know how to use all the tools with skill. Judges want to walk away from your experiment feeling like you are an expert on the subject.
Another thing that judges love is data, data and more data. They want to know what your theory was and if you proved it, how can you prove that it is true. If you disproved it, then what did you find? Perhaps what you discovered by disproving the theory was even more fascinating than the original theory.
So, what you need to keep in mind is that you are the expert, you have data to prove it and you can show it, prove it or demonstrate in a neat and concise manner. Above all this, have fun with the project and at the fair. If you are nervous and uncertain, it will show. You need to have confidence and be proud of all your hard work. It is your brainstorm, so show it with pride.

A heart rate monitor is a contraption which lets users of fitness machines take note of their own pulse rate while training. The heart rate monitor typically comprises two constituents – a receiver and a strap. The strap applies electrodes to watch over the heartbeat and if the appliance is connected to a fitness machine, its screen will show up your heart rate to you. Receivers on the wrist commonly are in the form of timepieces that pace your heartbeat by calculating the period before blood heads on through the wrist veins. Heart rate monitors are turning out to be increasingly viewed in good regard and most pro quality exercise machines are accompanied by a cardio rate monitor as part of the deal.
If you have heart or blood pressure afflictions, having a pulse monitor while doing a workout is something you must do. You will not only be able to ascertain how your pump can handle stress, you will also be capable of controlling your heartbeat by playing around with the the speed on the training equipment. Some treadmills or ellipticals actually come with a built-in heart-rate controller system, which without human intervention slows the machine if your pulse rate is excessively up. This is quite of value, as it deflects a lot of heart-related problems that went on formerly with people getting fit harder than their heart could address.
Even without heart ailments, it is still helpful a heart rate monitor now and again. This way, you should be capable to monitor how your body takes care of very strong physical effort. To make sure you are fit and there will be no problems later, you should ready a daily pulse-rate table for one or two weeks, while getting fit at the same strength. You will notice if there are very high downslopes or ascendings in your heart beat, but the best thing to do would be to show this report to your physician, who will immediately notice any approaching difficulties.
If you are going to have to purchase a prime heart rate monitor, one of the more adopted manufacturers around is Polar. Polar technology has been around for two decades now and the company has achieved the status of being the industry leader in the heart rate monitors field. They have different series for heart rate monitors, ranging from novices and intermediates to pro athletes. You can also order your heart rate monitor from different categories, depending on what your needs are: Cardiac Rehab, Jogging, Cycling, Swimming (this includes a waterproof monitor-watch), Fitness, Weight Management and so forth.
Heart rate monitors are a step forward in home exercising, as working with them could aid to prevent and avoid many cardiac afflictions. Always pay attention to your heart rate monitor and try not to push your heart over the limits. Consult a doctor about what the normal pulse rate should be for your body type, in an effort regime. Combine this data with an exercise machine that supports heart rate measuring systems and displays them on their console, or even better, one that adjusts its speed to your pulse rate.

When we say to people that you need the same skills to be a successful golfer as you do meditator it usually raises a huge laugh. Golf and meditation are miles apart. Some often suggest that in hitting the perfect Golf shot you need to be in a focussed meditative state, but that’s as far as it gets.
What do you think?
I know. You think we’re crazy. But let’s look at the evidence. Let’s just look at what’s needed to be a successful meditator and you can decide whether the same skills and behaviour patterns are needed to be successful in golf.
Meditation, at least in our experience is very rewarding but extremely frustrating. We often feel that everything is great. Our concentration is high and we feel really peaceful and happy only to find the next day that we are back to square one and cannot focus at all. Our thoughts are all over the place.
During meditation we invest many hours thinking about our strengths and how we may improve.
We know that in order to be successful we must sit down and practice every day. In fact, at least twice a day. We know, to our cost, that we cannot afford to miss a practice session. After all the more you practice the less surprises you get.
The key to success is our thoughts. If we can get our thoughts right the rest will follow. If we can keep focussed on our strengths and positive thoughts then we can access our naturally peaceful and happy selves. To us negative thoughts are no more, no less than waste thoughts. They are a waste of our time and effort because they don’t produce anything they just take away from us.
The feelings you get from meditation is so addictive that before you realise it meditation becomes the key to your life and you can’t manage a day without it.
Food is so important to maintaining concentration. When we eat the correct food, food that is high in nutrients and vitamins we perform better.
At the same time we must ensure that we drink enough water because if we become dehydrated then our performance is impaired. In other words instead of meditating we fall asleep.
The correct amount of Rest and Sleep are important because if you skimp on either then you don’t perform. You cannot concentrate. You cannot focus the mind. If your concentration is high then you reap the reward. If your concentration is low your mind wanders and sleep invades the space.
Meditation is a solo sport. Although, we can and do sometimes meditate with a group. Although we can sometimes feel we perform better when meditating with others. The bottom line is it is me and my connection, me and my thoughts. It is not a team game even though others appear to be doing the same thing.
But perhaps the most interesting of all is what makes us and other mediators keep returning time after time.
WE LOVE THE CHALLENGE
People who meditate love the challenge of calming their minds. We love the thought that it is possible to rid the mind of all the rubbish and concentrate on our strengths. We love doing things that test our skills. We love questioning our ability. Meditation like Golf is the ultimate challenge because it has not been beaten. There is no one who has completed the perfect round. Although we all strive to be perfect, we are involved in pursuing an activity where perfection is impossible. Therefore it is the ultimate Zeigarnik effect.
The Zeigarnik effect: named after Bluma Zeigarnik, a Russian psychologist is the drive within us to complete tasks. That part of us that cannot stand the fact that something is incomplete. Hasn’t been finished.
Both meditation and Golf are tasks that are, by their very nature, incomplete tasks. They cannot be completed. There is no perfect round. No one alive has reached that perfect state of being. Thus people who follow Golf and meditation are drawn by the fact that it cannot be completed. If it was possible to complete then we would leave them and try something new.
Therefore we are addicted to meditation because we are addicted to completion. The fact that we always leave our meditation without reaching that perfect state of love, peace and happiness makes us return to try again. To move towards “completion”.
Is it the same for Golf? Are you addicted to that perfect round? Do you constantly return to the course to improve your handicap. Are you in search of the “completion”.
We have many friends who have retired to perfect their golf. Many of them now see their job as playing golf. Everything else is secondary.
They like us want to learn. We all want to complete the task. We want to be able to say we have completed the ultimate challenge.
Good Luck

With hotel prices soaring and London losing its affordable hotels to demolition and refurbishment as parts of big hotel chains, business travellers are often forced to pay premium prices for a hotel room. Many companies have found a simple and more affordable solution to their housing dilemma – a serviced apartment. Serviced apartments are available for rent through Executive Roomspace. They are cheaper than regular hotel suites and offer the feeling of home to a business traveller who may be weary of yet another standard hotel room in yet another city.
Such apartments can be rented from one month and discounts are available for long-term stays.
Charlie McCrow, Managing Director at Executive Roomspace, said that foreigners coming to the UK, for the first time stay in a hotel first of all, but those who have been to the city before, opt for serviced apartments. “Many spend their first two nights in a hotel and later move to an apartment. Renting a short-let for a short term as opposed to staying at a hotel makes a lot of sense because they can be a budget option for business travellers, especially in the face of a looming 30 percent increase in hotel room prices and 100 percent occupancy at the hotels”.
Help is at hand through apartment booking companies such as The Apartment Service, where the benefits of their advice will outweigh any perceived savings of self-booking on-line an apartment and negotiating direct.
The serviced apartment market has emerged as a most cost-effective alternative to hotel accommodation and, at times the only option to consider. High in comfort, low in cost with complete consistency. Three C’s that provide a good benchmark for anyone needing to stay, for whatever length of time, away from home.
Executive Roomspace was founded in 1997 as the first UK-based, branded apartment product. It quickly established itself as the largest UK brand of medium priced corporate apartment accommodation, with over 250 units in 30 locations throughout London and the South.

If our lives were like oceans, spreading over
many years and vast distances, swooping and
swaying according to the waves of change in
the atmosphere around us and interacting with
the people we meet as the ocean flows up and
down the shores –
A small drop of anxiety on just one day can have
a ripple effect that reaches to the depths of the
ocean floor and touches the farthest corners of
our lives.
The first drop
When we first feel restricted about leaving the
house, there goes a drop.
When we get into a group and start feeling
anxious, there is a drop.
When we think of a job we’d really love to go
after but are too scared to. There it is.
Jobs never applied for. Dates never taken.
Friends never made.
Not only does anxiety prevent us from saying
something we wanted to say – today. Not only
does it make us uncomfortable around other
people – tonight.
But we experience the aftereffects of our initial
anxious experience. Over years of our lives.
These small, daily drops create ripples across
our lives.
Ripples
When we are uncomfortable leaving the house,
we then feel ashamed that we feel that way. We
wonder if there is something wrong with us. And
so the ripple goes.
When we are in a group of people, say at the mall
shopping, we feel nervous.
We feel isolated by the nervousness. We say to
ourselves: No one understands how hard it is. It’s
painful. Ripple.
The ripples are so subtle at first. But at some
point they begin to span out across our horizon.
Moving through the waves of the current to
saturate every distant cell.
Similar situations
But we may not recognize this vast impact
until we are faced with a similar situation.
What happens when we get a job interview?
What happens when we see someone we
would like to meet? What happens when we
are in a meeting or attending a party function?
The memory is there. The experience
somehow feels familiar. We recognize it.
We don’t like this feeling. We don’t like these
situations.
The memory has become our current reality.
Our past becomes our future.
Our lives are effected.
What ripples do you feel?
What do you tell yourself about your anxiety
and shyness?
Do you beat yourself up?
Do you feel like there is something wrong with
you?
Do you wonder what is going on inside of you –
that you just can’t seem to control?
Is the idea that past experiences are creating
your future helpful?

Do you suffer from anxiety when dealing with other people? When leaving the house? Walking down the street? Or in groups? Hanging out or working with other people?
When you feel this anxiety in social situations, when interacting with others, what is going on here?
What is this experience we call anxiety? When you sit in a meeting, leaning back in the stiff chair and secretly dreading the possibility of being singled out by a manager or co-worker, what are you really afraid of?
When you stand around holding a glass of wine at a dinner party or leaning against the corner of the crowded counter at your local bar, what is the fear that is running through your head?
What are you so anxious about?
Question #1
What is that voice saying?
What is that voice inside your head saying?
You can find out by listening to it, journaling it or sharing it verbally with someone you trust.
As you get to know more clearly what that voice has to say, see if it basically comes down to the fear of being judged by others, the fear of looking bad in their eyes and looking stupid based on what you say or do in front of them.
When you start to notice that the voice seems to be particularly preoccupied with what others are thinking of you and your actions, ask yourself this simple question: Why does what other people think of me matter so much?
Have you been unconsciously putting what others think of you above your own true desires without questioning the logic and purpose of it?
Question #2
Is what others think important?
What if what others think is not important?
If you didn’t care what other people think, would you feel anxiety in social situations?
Why might what others think not be important?
Perhaps because we can never know what others are thinking of us. Perhaps because others are not really thinking about us – they are thinking about what we are thinking of them. And, as we know, we are not thinking about them. Because we are too busy thinking about what they are thinking of us.
After all, there is really no way for us to know what other people are thinking of us.
So why chase after it? Why use it as a criteria for how we act and how we feel? If it’s so elusive and impossible to determine?
That sounds like a recipe for failure. How can we ever be successful at something that is impossible to know?
Question #3
What is the point of human interaction?
And who ever said that the point of human interaction was to look good’?
What if the point of human interaction was to share our experiences? What if it was just to connect? Not to look perfect?
What if looking perfect was a barrier to our human connection?
What if our desire to look perfect was actually getting in the way of why we interact with each other in the first place?
What if there was a deep, natural and beautiful experience waiting on the other side of our self-regulated rules? If we would just let go?
What if human interaction was supposed to be messy, creative or unpredictable?
Question #4
Why is your natural reaction not perfect?
Who said that if you acted totally 100% natural, that there would be anything wrong or stupid or bad looking about how you reacted?
What is inherently wrong with who you are? With how you act?
Now when you start to hear that voice inside of your head saying, `You look silly. Why did you say that? They must think you are an idiot,’ you will have a comeback.
You can say to yourself, `I’m just human. Not perfect. The point is not to look good, but to hear about others experiences and enjoy the interchange.’
Give it a try.
You may not believe it yet – but just begin by questioning the assumption that what others think matters. And that you are supposed to look good.

If you are looking for the perfect way to say “Marry me”, “I love you” or “Happy Anniversary”, there is nothing more romantic or appropriate than the three stone diamond ring. The three stones represent the past, present and future (PPF). They essentially state I have loved you, I love you now and I will always love you.
PPF rings are relatively new and are very hot right now. All of the major jewelers, including DeBeers and Tiffany’s, now carry these rings in a variety of styles and sizes. When they originally came out, they were marketed mainly as three round stones, all the same size. We have seen this change over time.
Now the PPF rings come in different diamond shapes, including oval and princess cut diamonds. Cluster diamonds, where about ten small diamonds are put together to form a round diamond cluster, are also popular and give you lots of sparkle at a lower price. From far away, the three clusters actually look like three large, round diamonds. Bezel set diamonds as well as other precious stones are also being used to give the PPF rings a different twist.
The current trend in the PPF rings is to have a larger diamond in the center and two smaller diamonds on the side. This signifies that the past and the future are important, but being with them, right now is what matters the most. You can also have the inside of the ring engraved to say, “Past, Present and Future” or a special date or saying that means something to you.
In addition to the three stone diamond rings, there are a variety of other pieces of three stone jewelry that carry the same PPF meaning. You can find PPF diamond pendants, earrings and bangle bracelets, so you can buy a whole PPF jewelry ensemble for the one you love.
Whatever occasion, the three stone diamond ring is an excellent way to show your love and devotion. It let’s your loved one know that you will always be there for them, that your love will last forever. In the end, that love is what matters most.

With prom season upon us, everyone is searching for the perfect prom dress. But don’t forget about the one thing that can make or break your prom look, your hairstyle. Many people make the mistake of waiting until the last minute to think about how they are going to complete their prom look and then have trouble finding the right hairstyle for the night. Lets face it, promhairstyles can make or break your outfit.
So you’ve bought your dress, found the perfect shoes and bag and are all accessorized with jewelry. Now you are wondering what you should do with your hair. The best thing to do is to build your hair around your dress. This means deciding which promhairstyles are going to frame your face and compliment the lines of your dress to give you the “wow” we all want on prom night.
If you have a strapless dress or one with spaghetti straps or a low neckline, you want to accentuate your shoulders and the lines of the dress rather than draw the eyes to your hair. The trick to doing this is to put your hair up or at least pull it back from your face and shoulders. An updo is the surest way to ensure that all eyes are drawn to the most dramatic part of your dress. An updo also allows you to show off your accessories, your earrings and necklaces that you so carefully chose.
If you are wearing a more traditional prom dress, such as a wide flowing skirt or an elegant gown, you want your hair to be elegant as well. You should consider a french twist, braids or your hair long and sleek with a tierra.
If your dress is more cutting edge or trendy, then you want more of a trendy style. This could include an updo with your hair sticking out instead of tucked in or a bunch of individual braids held with clips.
What you need to keep in mind is that promhairstyles and your dress have to coordinate. You wouldn’t wear a green dress and brown shoes or choose jewelry that is not the same theme as your dress, so why would you choose a hairstyle that does not fit your dress?
So now you have an assignment. Once you have your dress, you need to identify the style of your dress. Then you can begin to choose the prom hairstyle that works best for it and you. Or, why not be daring and choose a hairstyle that you love and take that style with you to find your dress?
