Fast Access to Important Public Records

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

The internet has truly revolutionized our way of living. Gone are the days that you are compelled to visit a department store to buy something, go to a driver license office to personally renew your driver license or stay long at a library to find an important information you desperately need. In our day and age, doing these things are equivalent to just a few clicks. By using your computer, almost everything can now be done online at the comforts of your own home.

How about in trying to find facts and information about certain individuals? Back then, researching about people’s background would mean going to the police, requesting public records from a public office or hiring a private investigator. Such processes are both time-consuming and, most of the time, will cost you much before you get the information you desire.

Nowadays, getting necessary information about a person do not need to take you a long time and do not need to cost you an entire fortune anymore. Looking up official and public records about a person can also be done online. Background Checks can now be conducted through a faster, easier and less expensive process. PublicRecords.com now makes public records to be readily available online to help you get information you need about certain individuals in question.

Checking information about persons who we deal with is a necessity nowadays. For example, if you are an employer and want to make sure that you are employing the right person for the job, you may want to know about the prospective employee’s background such as their previous employment history, their criminal record (if they ever were convicted of felony) or if they had been a sex offender. It is a given fact that most companies these days require background checks on all applicants and employees. Employers who conduct these checks avert the possibility of hiring people who may cause workplace accident or crime.

Or let’s say that you are a parent and are anxiously concerned about your daughter’s safety and security. Getting a background check about her friends and her date may do the trick of calming you down. It may also help you avoid unnecessary tragedy. Or maybe you are a landlord and want to make sure that those who lease your apartments wouldn’t cause you some legal trouble in the future.

After all, trust isn’t something you just give away to people – it is something that people should earn. Access to public records is highly important because it will help you to be better informed about the people you and your loved ones deal with.

Trust PublicRecords.com when it comes to accessing public records and reports. Because it is powered by the most comprehensive nationwide database, http://www.PublicRecords.com allows you a fast and easy access to over 2 billion records in the United States.

Like you, we recognize the importance of your safety and security. Visit our user-friendly site, avail of our services and experience the advantage of having access to public records. Because, nowadays, availing of background check services these days isn’t just nice – it is wise.

Migration agents’ review underway

Monday, January 7th, 2008

A discussion paper on how to further improve standards in the migration advice sector was released today  by the Assistant Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, the Hon Teresa Gambaro MP.

‘Migration agents are now used by over 70 per cent of applicants in some visa classes,’ Ms Gambaro said.

‘The migration advice profession has the potential for further growth and I am committed to seeing the performance and reputation of migration agents improve along with their expanding client base.’

Ms Gambaro released the wide ranging discussion paper for public comment. Issues examined include:

* the continuing adequacy of the regulatory framework for the profession, including whether the profession is ready for a move to self-regulation and dual regulation of lawyer agents

* complaints handling procedures and the effectiveness of the Migration Agents’ Registration Authority

* how, in certain circumstances, priority processing might work for visa applications lodged through migration agents

* the  adequacy of the Migration Agents’ Code of Conduct.

‘Migration advice has matured significantly in recent times from a profession that was largely unregulated in Australia before the early 1990s,’ Ms Gambaro said.

‘The Government believes that consumers have a right to expect that they will be provided with advice from migration agents which is accurate, timely, and lawful, and which demonstrates high standards of professional conduct.’

Submissions to the review should be made by October 26, 2007. Copies of the paper are available electronically.

Social Networking- The revenue Generator

Monday, January 7th, 2008

While doing some research on social networking domain, found some interesting figures to share, which will surely drive the social networking development companies.

Market at a glance-

The market for the internet and social networking communities is estimated at about USD 1500M this year.

Social network/Community development and enhancement individually by 2006 stood at USD 700M and is estimated to touch USD 4000M by 2010.

The top 3 player in the market are Myspace, Facebook and Bebo with market shares 80.74%, 10.32%, 1.18% respectively.( data is based on custom category of 20 of the leading social networking websites ranked by market share of visits, which is the percentage of traffic to the site, based on Hitwise sample of 10 million US Internet users. The percentages represent the market share of visits among the websites within the custom category.)

Growth Path-

Social networking sites are growing 47% year on year increasing from an audience of 46.8 million to 68.8 million in April 2006.

Social networking sites are the reality of the Internet; the content is relatively inexpensive for publishers to produce.

It will become more ingrained in mainstream sites, just as reality TV shows. MySpace.com, the top Social Networking site of all in terms of number of registered users, saw a staggering 367% increase. The graph is still increasing with many more Social Networking players jumping in; the web scene seems set just right for Social Networking.

The social networking sites that are seeing strong growth have developed a unique online presence which is refreshed by user generated content. This promotes ongoing consumers interest and visitor loyalty. The market share of Internet visits to the top 20 social networking websites grew by 11.5 percent from January to February 2007, to account for 6.5 percent of all Internet visits in February 2007.

Mobile Social networking- The next Destination

Social networking is going mobile and is poised for spectacular growth over the next five years, mobile social communities will be attracting members in swarms, more than tripling in size from 50 millions to 174 millions by 2011.

For the moment, MySpace and Facebook are hot. News Corp. paid $580 million last year for MySpace as part of a $1.3 billion Internet acquisition spree. Facebook just received an additional $25 million in venture capital.

Both companies are planning to extend their reach beyond the computer screen to cell phones.
Cingular Wireless, Sprint Nextel and Verizon Wireless are starting a service that will allow users to post messages on Facebook’s home pages or search for other users’ phone numbers and email addresses from a cell phone.

MySpace has a pact with Helio, a wireless joint venture between SK Telecom and Earthlink, which will allow users to send photos and update their blogs or profiles by cell phone.

Advertising-

Social networks are an integral part of the cultural fabric of the internet and their rapidly growing and demographically appealing audience has attracted the attention of advertisers.

According to the latest forecasts, marketers will pony up an estimated $280 M in the USA to advertise.
By 2010, the online advertising spend will grow to $1.8 billion.

Marketer estimates that the social networking ad spend of the USA will rise to $260 million in 2007(up from $95 million in 2006), and by 2010 is expected to reach $665 million.

Advantages-
Advertising on social networks will teach marketers important ways to reach newly-empowered consumers.

Social networks will have an incalculable influence on all advertising, both online and offline.

If companies can go even deeper to develop marketing efforts that fully embrace the “one-to-one-to-many nature of social networks, ad revenues will soar. This way of advertising will spill over into other channels. The underlying concept will influence the way advertising is done in all media, not just online.

Social Networking- The revenue Generator

Advertisers delight- Advertisers can target local as well as international market at one place.
Social networks are becoming a good environment to sell products, especially if marketers want to cultivate a brand and get its loyal users to do the selling and evangelizing. That evangelism happens in a community.

Recruiters’ Heaven- Now a day, top MNCs are hiring from professional social networking sites like Linkedin. They can also check the social index and compatibility of the candidate along with the background check, which is helping them to save a lot of money.

The cost of gaining new customers is practically nothing because users join voluntarily and provide their own content through their profiles.

The interactive nature of social networking sites keeps visitors coming back which helps the sites to retention rate high.

The cost of running the sites’ web servers is relatively low. If a classic advertising or subscription revenue model is used, low cost social network sites could be highly profitable.

All the above information concretes our philosophy that social networking as a domain for business is going to stay and grow in a rapid rate.

Exercise Your High Blood Pressure Problems Away

Monday, January 7th, 2008

It is all about going at your own pace.

A 4-year-old child will run everywhere he goes.  There is no slowing him down.  He gets exercise with every step he takes.

Senior adults walk slowly everywhere they go.

Between these two extremes are you and me.

Bringing blood pressure into normal ranges takes exercise.  The only way that exercise works is if it is done every day.  “Doing exercises” once in awhile won’t improve your blood pressure problems.

One solution is to simply walk faster.  Whenever you have to walk anywhere simply walk faster.  Walk faster across your living room, to your car, while shopping, wherever you are going to or coming from, walk faster.  How much faster is up to you, but faster than normal until the new speed becomes normal, then walk faster than that.

Rest or nap if you need to and allow your self to do it without guilt.  Children sleep hard and exercise hard while awake.  You can too, just do it at your own pace (not someone else’s pace ever).

Your body weight should come down without much attention to it, also your desire for various foods should change pretty much by itself.  You will prefer fresh fruits and vegetables to heavy sweets and salty snacks.

The most important thing is that you continue your speeded up walking and then add other body movements to it such as swinging your arms and breathing deeply.  Add loud singing, easy stretching and gentle dancing.  Walk with your heels not quite touching the ground.  When standing still shift your weight to the balls of your feet and hold yourself in “good” posture even if only for a few minutes.

Every minute you are taxing your body, even if it is only for a very short time or only taxing it a little bit, you are improving its condition.  Eventually, weeks, months or maybe a year from now, you will notice that your blood pressure has normalized and that you feel better.  You may have to take a good look backward to notice it because your changes for the better have been so gradual.  But they happened!

Once you are in better shape you may want to add more formal exercising to your daily routine.  Remember you are adding it, not subtracting what you are already doing.  Continue to move at a fast pace, walk on the balls of your feet and dance, sing or stretch as you have been.

At 20 years old, while in college, I met Mr. Bascomb.  He was 82 and jumped over railings to come talk to me.  He ran everywhere he went.  He was always smiling.  He wanted to be with college kids because he had the body of a college kid.  Obviously, his blood pressure was normal.  We can all be 80 and be in good physical shape, it just takes a little effort.  Little effort.  Not a lot of effort.  So, do something every day and get into the habit of using your body.
