Why Your Designer/Printing Agency Is Important In Marketing Your Brand

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

A perfect relationship actually exists between you and your booklet printing partner. I used ‘partner’ here and not company or vendor because that’s what your booklet printer or even your catalog design firm is – they’re your partner in creating the perfect marketing material for your business.

Partnering is about building and at the same time sustaining a trusting relationship between you and your designer/printer. It’s all about loyalty and reliance on each other to provide both your needs and requirements. Hence, both parties value each other when it comes to getting another insight on your marketing campaign project such as your advertising booklets and catalog design jobs.

It is therefore important that you build a strong relationship with your design agency. By working together, you’ll be able to get a lot of benefits which can help you boost sales in your business:

Builds Mutual Respect
When you treat your design and printing partner with respect, they return the favor. Respect means treating them as a partner and putting value to their viewpoint. When you’re doing your project, most often than not, your perspective may be clouded from what you want to see as opposed to what your target clients may understand from your booklet printing material or catalog design.  Your design and printing partner then would help you ‘see the light’ in a way. They would want to work with you as a team because they really believe in your idea.

Helps You Define Your Objective
Your design and printing partner helps you realize your dreams and accomplish your goals. They believe in what you’re doing, thus, they would exert all efforts and resources to provide you with the results according to what you have imagined.

Sets Your Limitations
As an expert in their field, they know your limitations and try to help you achieve your goals despite them. They would help you set your guidelines and would actually ensure that your project falls within the parameters of your brand and image.

Identifies The Scope Of Work
This includes helping you work within your timeline and schedule, as well as your budget limitations. Your design and printing partner can assist you in ensuring that you get your money’s worth with the results.

Having a partner in your design and printing agency can help you achieve your marketing goals. Thus, building a trusting and loyal relationship with your agency can go a long way in helping you get the results you need to boost your business’ sales and profits.

How To Get Passive Income With Affiliate Marketing

How To Get Passive Income With Affiliate Marketing

There’s yet another source of income with affiliate marketing that’s been overlooked by many people. Besides paying commission for selling their products and services many affiliate programs
also offer the opportunity to earn income through their referral programs.

In this article I will explain the benefits of these referral programs and how you can utilize this.

However before you start with it you’ll first want to make yourself familiar with the terms and conditions of the referral programs you want to promote so you’ll know how to properly receive your commissions.

The benefits of having referral partners

1. Receiving commissions with small effort.

By referring affiliates to partner programs you will receive commissions based on the sales that your referred affiliates make. Being the referring affiliate you’ll receive some nice extra income without too much hard work on your part. Hence the term passive income.

2. Income stability and security.

When you’re working on other projects or when you don’t have much time for doing promotions you’ll always have a secondary stream of income available that’s been provided by the affiliates you’ve referred.

3. Multiple streams of income.

Every time you refer a new affiliate to a partner program it adds a new stream of income to your business. Imagine the potential when you build up a whole network of referral partners in time.

How can you get referral partners ?

1. Making postings on affiliate marketing forums.

One of the most easy ways to get referral partners is by making postings on affiliate marketing forums. Most forums allow their members to add signatures to their messages and with it you can attract other forum members to sign up through your referral links. Another benefit of making postings is that they can be found by the search engines. This means that long after you’ve made a forum posting search engines will keep sending visitors to your messages with your embedded referral codes.

2. Using your current websites.

Another way to get referral partners is by using your current websites. When you add pages to your websites with descriptions of your favourite partner programs, chances are that people who are not interested in buying your products may be interested in making money on line, and sign up through your referral code. When properly done the search engines will also index these pages and keep sending visitors to your links.

3. Creating webmaster sites and blogs.
With little effort you can start your own webmaster site or ‘online money’ blog where you can write about affiliate programs that are profitable to you. Chances are that other affiliates find your blog and sign up through your referral links.

Another tip to consider is to refer webmasters to products and services that provide in their business needs. As every internet entrepreneur needs hosting, software, scripts and information you can add this to your product portfolio to build your affiliate marketing’s passive income stream.

Finding Jewelleries To Go With Your Wedding Dress

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

Wedding is something that every girl has dreamed of. Even young girls dream of walking down the aisles looking like a dazzling bride with glittering gown and perfect jewelleries that fit the wedding gown. This is any girl’s dream. And this you can make a reality through careful planning.

Wedding is an occasion that you should plan even the littlest detail. Part of the wedding plan is the dress and the jewelleries. The jewelleries will depend on the style and design of the wedding dress. More often than not, the bride will shop for the wedding dress prior to choosing the wedding jewelleries. This is the reason why jewelleries should be the one to compromise with the wedding dress.

<b>Jewelleries That Match Your Wedding Dress</b>

There are several considerations to make when looking for wedding jewelleries that will look good on you and will match your wedding dress. First is the cut of the dress. Different jewelleries match different cuts. For instance, if the dress is strapless or sleeveless, you can use necklace – simple or elaborated if you like. Some types of wedding dress don’t need a necklace to accentuate. For instance the dress is already glittery and sequinned on the top, there is no need for a necklace.

If the gown is strapless, you can use a dangling earring. If it is halter cut, you can use a simple button earring. The earring can be a simple pearl earring if the wedding dress is already covered in sequins. If the wedding dress is not over elaborated, you can use elaborated set of jewelleries. If you do not consider the design of the wedding dress, you may be over decorated during your wedding.

The choice of jewelleries will also depend on the look that you want to project during your wedding. If you choose a classic wedding dress, use accessories or jewelleries that are classic as well. If you want to achieve a modern look, find a dress and jewelleries that are modern as well like crystals and gemstones. For all time look, you choose diamond jewelleries.

It is always easy to buy a set of jewellery. This will help you achieve a classic look easily. But if you want to use different jewelleries, make sure they are well coordinated and they do not contrast each other. Accessorising for wedding may seem just like a very easy task, but if you want to achieve a perfect look during the wedding, consider a little planning.

PowerPoint Templates and Layouts – Perfect Way to Enhance Your Presentations

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

Design is an important part of a digital presentation.  Presentations that are more pleasing to the eye make them more interesting to an audience.  Design is also important to the effectiveness of delivery.  A digital presentation that has an appropriate design will be easy for an audience to view.  For example, if the presentation has a dark background, then a light color font would be easier for viewers to see and understand the content.

As audiences become more sophisticated, they expect lively, professional-looking presentations. PowerPoint design templates offer a collection of design options and other formatting features for your presentation. The design template determines other aspects of the presentation, such as the location of text and object placeholders and the style and size of bullet points.

Templates in presentation are efficiently designed for definite purposes and they permit users to create a presentation very quickly. Templates can be previewed and modified if required. A content template helps the user with content and gives suggestions about the association of different kinds of information. A presentation design template creates a presentation without worrying about the design elements. Each template has its own color scheme and fonts that work with the overall design of the presentation.

These templates provide the required edge and appearance that your presentation needs to capture your audience’s attention. With Custom Slide Layouts, you can create the type of layout you need, when you need it so you are never confined to prepackaged layouts. This gives you the flexibility to create layouts that contain multiple elements.

In current professional scenario, the design templates, and presentation layout delivered with PowerPoint doesn’t actually fulfill the competent requirement of professionals, companies, or corporate. To fulfill this need they look for custom designed presentation templates and slide layouts with a personal touch onto them

MyPrizo.com is source for the best custom designed templates on net. You can download free templates as well as get benefits of our premium collection of PowerPoint templates.

Work At Home Finance 101

What’s In Your Wallet?

Do you know what comes in and goes out of your wallet every month? Do you have any extra cash to see you through a rainy day? Do you know your net worth?

If you decide to work part time from home you will most likely take a significant pay cut, so understanding your true financial picture is critical to achieving your work at home dreams. How do you do that? Make time to sit down with your spouse or significant other and calculate what it really costs to make ends meet in your household.

Let’s look at your income first. If you’re currently working full time as an employee, a large percentage of your current salary gets taxed to a good degree, so only take-home pay counts. Add up what’s left after all deductions and work expenses (daycare, drycleaning, etc.) to get your current monthly income number, or CMI.

Once you have your CMI figured out, the next step is to calculate your spouse or significant other’s CMI. Add these two numbers together to come up with your total household income, or THI.
Now you need to account for all your other monthly expenses. Your mortgage or rent. Groceries. Gas. The electric bill. Your cell phone. Any monthly entertainment costs such as dinners out and associated babysitting expenses, shopping sprees, or other disposable income. You need to account for everything.

Some people keep an expense diary for a few weeks or a month to help them really nail this information down. If you don’t keep a regular household budget this is an important exercise that will help set a baseline of your monthly expenses. Depending on your activities, some months may be more, some may be less. The longer you keep your expense diary, the more accurate your results will be.
Once you have everything collected together in one place such as a computer spreadsheet, it’s time to start identifying what can be cut or reduced. Do you really need to go to Starbucks everyday? Do you really need to buy Us magazine every week? Do you really need that weekly Barnes & Noble book fix? If you really do need those things, it’s important to know that now before you change over to a reduced work schedule.

What’s The Difference?

Now subtract your total monthly expenses from your THI. Is it a positive or a negative number? Are you living below your means, paycheck to paycheck, or under water? If you’re not living below your means you need to aim in that direction, otherwise be prepared for some financial stress and strain. Learning to live below your means now while you’re still working full time is excellent practice that will come in handy later if you eventually do take a large pay cut.

And living below your means doesn’t mean doing without the things you enjoy. It’s more about changing the way you value your time and resources so that you can manage them more effectively. Knowing what things are really worth to you will help you evaluate your spending decisions a little more carefully.

Be Ready For A Rainy Day

What about savings? If you don’t already, make a commitment to save at least 10% of everything you earn starting today, and think of it as another monthly expense. By thinking of it as an expense, it becomes another line item in your budget. The easiest way to do this consistently is to setup an automatic payment program whereby your savings is automatically deducted from your checking account and deposited into your savings account at the beginning of each month.

You will be amazed at how much accumulates over time. You’ll want to have at least 3-6 months THI stashed in a safe, secure interest-bearing savings account that you can access easily if things get tight. This will give you the confidence to get through any unexpected expenses or cash flow crunches after you stop working full time. To paraphrase Robert Kyosaki, you want to make your money work for you so you don’t have to work so hard for it.

Money isn’t everything, but managing it well buys you choices. And if leaving the full time working world is high on your list you want to be able to afford that choice. Taking the time now to get a good grip on your finances will help you move closer to your part time work at home dreams.

Tourism in SevenOaks

Friday, March 28th, 2008

The district is situated in the High Weald of Kent, surrounded by some of the loveliest countryside in South East England. Tucked around every corner is a wealth of quaint and attractive villages, country lanes, old market towns, vineyards, and some of the best heritage and garden attractions to be found.

The bustling towns with their eclectic mix of shops and restaurants rub shoulders with some of the finest historic houses and castles in England, such as Knole House in Seven oaks which is one of the largest private homes in England with its 52 staircases and 365 rooms. Nearby Westerham is the location of the beautifully preserved Chartwell, former home of Sir Winston Churchill, and Squerryes Court, still the home of the Warde family who have lived there for 270 years.

Just outside Swanley is the village of Eynsford where Lulling-stone Castle and Lullingstone Roman Villa, dating back to circa AD100, can be found. Edenbridge is home to the Eden Valley Museum, and just a stones throw away from the lovely Hever Castle – the childhood home of Anne Boleyn and Penshurst Place – ancestral home of the Sidney family for 400 years and surrounded by 10 acres of Tudor gardens, Penshurst Vineyard and Chiddingstone Castle.

Add to this the horticultural splendor of Riverhill House Gardens, Emmetts Garden, many private gardens open to the public to complete the picture of a destination that has something for everyone. With all parts of Seven oaks District within an hour’s journey of central London it’s an ideal place to return time and again.

There are a number of B&Bs in the local area which offer quaint rural retreats, such as the Hever Hotel, the Royal Oak Hotel, the Kings Arms and the Moorings Hotel as well as larger hotels such as the Best Western Donnington Manor and the two hotels at Brands Hatch (Brands Hatch Place and the Thistle). Accommodation of this nature is rather limited, however, and it is thought that, should a casino be sited in the district, private investment of this nature would help provide local jobs for local people.

Seven Oaks is easily accessible by road, rail, and by air. Gat-wick, Stanstead and Heathrow airports and the Channel Ports and Channel Tunnel Rail Link are all within easy reach. The railway service to London is very good with regular services to London’s Charing Cross Station and other London stations. The average journey time is 30 minutes. This would enable customers to reach the district quickly and easily using a variety of transport.

Online Reputation Management
by Steve Melberg
You never know when you’re going to die on the Internet. Never! Someone could come from behind and – bam! – your reputation is ruined!
Mark Twain said, “ Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. “ Nowhere is this more likely to be true than on today’s Internet.
If web 1.0 was all about collecting information, web 2.0 is all about sharing it and it doesn’t have to be true to be shared.
Something one of our clients recently experienced illustrates this well. As a successful construction contractor, our client hires many people to work in his company. Unfortunately, one of them was stealing from him, so our client fired him.
The employee is an avid blogger and uses social media sites frequently as well. The employee began blogging negatively about our client and sharing slanderous stories about him in social media sites online. The result was when you Googled our client’s name all this negative information appeared in the search results (even though it’s untrue). Nowadays if it’s on Google, it’s gospel!
So how can you prevent something like this from happening to you?
• Write articles in your field or specialty and post to article directories online.
• Start your own blog and post to it regularly.
• Register with social media sites such as: Linkedin, Facebook, Myspace, etc. and participate by posting your stories from your blog.
• Register with social bookmarking sites such as: Stumbleupon or Delicious and bookmark or vote on other’s content. Then post your own content and others will vote on it, increasing the popularity of your content.
• Optimize your website so it ranks well in the search engines. Add fresh content on a regular basis so the search engines have something to rank when they list your site.
Most importantly, be proactive. Take the above steps now to establish your online reputation. Then, should anyone post negatively about you (regardless of how untrue it is), the negative will be drowned out by the sea of positive information you’ve already created about yourself online.

Are You Asking The Right Questions To Get Attention

Friday, March 28th, 2008

They say when you ask the wrong questions, one hundred percent, you get the wrong answers. Or at the minimum, not the information you’re looking for.

For you to have an effective ad campaign such as your marketing brochures, you need to ask the right questions to get attention. Effective communication is all about getting the right answers to the right questions. Effective communication brings about a stronger and stable relationship that you can keep for a very a long time.

Here are the different types of questions that you could use to get the right answers for your marketing brochures:

Close and Open
The difference between the two is that the first one can be answered by either a yes or a no, or even a single and very short answer. On the other hand, an open question usually gets a longer answer. They often begin with the 4 W’s (What, Why, When and hoW). The reason why this type needs a longer answer is due to the fact that you are asking for the other person’s opinion, knowledge and emotions.

Closed questions are often great in testing your target client’s understanding of your message. It also completes a discussion and ends with a decision. However, it is best to avoid these types of queries when your conversation is in full swing. You might just give your conversation an early demise.

Probing Questions
If you want to find out more, then use probing questions. This is to help you understand more the statement that your target clients¢ have made. At times, you need more information to clarify an idea or a point. And still on occasion, you’ll need probing questions when you need to look for proofs. Using the word exactly can help you explore further the other person’s idea.

These kinds of questions are often great if you want to clarify thoroughly and get the whole story from your respondents. And when you need to draw more information out, you can always try probing questions for those not telling the truth and nothing but the truth.

Leading Questions
This means that you ask the questions because you want to guide your respondent to your standpoint. You can either do it by handing out an assumption or by adding an appeal for your respondent to agree on your idea. You can also use leading questions by rephrasing your query so that it would be easier for them to just say yes.

They are particularly good at getting the right answers and yet making the other person feel that he or she has made a choice. Leading questions are certainly appropriate when you want to close a sale with your prospects and clients.

Asking the right questions do get you the right answers. By applying them appropriately, you can get the information and response you need to have an effective message.

Free instant auction traffic

Friday, March 28th, 2008

Here’s an easy way to get extra traffic to your eBay auctions…

…and we all know, the more traffic, the more bids and ultimately, the more sales you’ll get!

First…answer this question:

“Do you look at other people’s feedback ratings?”

You probably answered yes…

So here’s my idea -

“Whenever you leave feedback, put your website URL in the feedback Comment”

If you don’t have a website, no problem, see below for details.

I have only seen this done once! – me.

It’s so easy and EVERYONE looks at feedback ratings before they bid.

So, the idea would be to try and leave feedback for users that get a lot of traffic…

How? – check out eBay pulse and look at some of the highest watched items and try bidding on one of them.

After, you bid and win, leave your feedback with your website URL in your feedback comment.

For example,

**AuctionResourceNetwork.com** – Excellent communication and great eBayer, Highly recommended

You can see how the domain will *jump-out* at the reader.

Also, when you leave feedback for your auction sales, do the same.

Now.., if you don’t have a website, here’s a quick trick on how to direct that traffic to your about me page.

Simply create a free account at NameCheap.com and purchase a domain name, i.e. www.your-domain.com

NameCheap.com only charges $8.88 per year for your domain name!

…then, in your NameCheap.com account, you can set your new domain to redirect to your eBay about me page…here’s how:

Login to your NameCheap.com account
Click the ‘view’ link beside ‘Number of domains in your account’
Click your new domain name
Click URL Forwarding under the Host Management section on the left
Enter your about me page URL in both textboxes and click Save Changes
Viola…you now own a domain that redirects to your about me page!
And make sure you place your new domain name in all your feedback comments.

Ok…now that you know how to get some extra free traffic by using eBay’s feedback comments, answer this question:

“Do you want to know how to turn that extra FREE traffic into cash?”

Yes/No? – Well, I’m going to tell you anyways… ;-) There are a few things you can do…here are 2:

Place your auction links on your AboutMe page so that your new visitors can get to your auctions. Place a newsletter signup form in your AboutMe page as well as in your auction pages and collect leads. Then market to those leads over and over again. I think the second idea is the most powerful…although it takes a little work on your part.

The quick`n`dirty way is to use AWeber.com to manage your leads and use their capture web form generator to capture your lead’s name and email address.

BUT, there are certain rules you must obey in order to collect client information from your auctions pages as well as you about Me page.

Strapless Bridal Basque

Friday, March 28th, 2008

The Basque once originated in Victorian times but looked more like a jacket then the sexy items you get today. Due to the bride opting for wedding dresses that don’t necessary cover up all those wonderful assets like they used to, finding bridal lingerie to suit has become increasingly important. For many brides who have chosen an off-the-shoulder wedding gown or strapless wedding dress, strapless bridal lingerie is the only option. The majority of these brides tend to go for a strapless bridal Basque as it offers the support, shaping, and comfort they need under their dress, as well as looking and feeling amazing.
Basques can either be completely strapless or offer removable straps, thereby allowing you to use them should you wish to wear it again with another sleeved outfit. Most strapless bridal Basques offer boning to pull in your waist and shape your hips, whilst offering the boobs the push-up support that most brides desire.
Basques can offer varying designs and purposes. Some include pretty lace patterns and don’t tend to be boned offering a sexy look without the support and shaping of the boning. These kind of Basques look gorgeous on and are certainly alluring enough to impress your husband on your wedding night. However if you’re looking for a smoother silhouette and would like some extra support then a boned Basque would be best for you.
Sophie & Grace can recommend some strapless bridal Basques that are sure to make you look and feel gorgeous on your wedding day. Carnival Creations products have been selected by us for the quality and their ability to create the shape that most brides never knew were possible. The Carnival Strapless Lace Basque is a wonderful strapless bridal Basque made in soft lace and boned and underwired to give extra support and shaping effect. The Carnival Strapless Satin Basque is made from fine satin and also has extra length in the body. It has a low back and deep decolette on the front. The Carnival Strapless Low Front Basque is a stunning low front and low back strapless bridal Basque made in shiny ‘chopper bar’ lace which is underwired and boned for support and waist shaping effect. These strapless bridal Basques are also available in extra length to accommodate the taller brides or those who desire extra shaping effect on the hips and waist.

The very look of handmade carpets and rugs is different from machine made carpets and rugs. There are a number of differences between handmade and machine made rugs. Here are some distinct elements to consider.

Knots
Machine made rugs and carpets are not woven by hand but are loomed by a computer generated system or apparatus. There are no knots in a machine made rugs. Whereas in a hand made rug, each knot is hand knotted and tied. In machine made carpets, threads are glued or looped onto a hot latex (plastic) backing which cools and hardens. They show a complete and rigid uniformity in manufacture which transforms into a static design. Machine made rugs generally lack spontaneity and human touch.

Sides and Ends
In a hand made or hand knotted rug, the fringe is “part” of the rug. The fringe is not sewn on as an extension, as is the case in machine made rugs. Machine made rugs always have “serged” sides or machine stitching on both sides of the rug, as opposed to a hand-knotted which will be irregular and imperfect.

Back
In power loomed or machine made rugs the stitching on the back is very consistent. They have extremely regular knots and even structure remains identical in all parts of the carpet. On the other hand in hand-knotted rugs the stitching vary slightly due to different tensions on the wool as people hand tie the knots. Most handmade rugs and carpets are covered with a cotton/canvas backing. Another point to differentiate is that the pattern or the design is clearly seen on the backside of handmade rugs.

Materials
Acrylics and other chemically processed materials are usually used to make machine made carpets. Hand-knotted rugs and carpets use pure organic wools.

Touch
you can also differentiate a machine made and hand made rug simply by touching. If you place one finger on the front of a machine made rug and your thumb on the back and pinch tightly, the rug will compress greatly and you will feel a sensation going right through one side to the other side. On the other hand while pinching handmade rugs you will feel much more body and substance.

5 Tips for Sellign Structured Settlements

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Consumers choose to sell their legal settlements (also referred to as structured settlements) for many reasons. While many sell their payments to help with college tuition, debt reduction, medical expenses or mortgage payments, most people sell their settlement to gain financial flexibility when personal or financial needs change. “The long payout periods of most structured settlements – typically up to 30 years – work well for many holders, but not all,” said Andrew Torre, Chief Compliance Manager for J.G. Wentworth. “Many people find that they need access to their money now to pay for legitimate needs.”
However, consumers often are unaware of their options when selling their structured settlements. What price is too low? Which company is reliable? Can I sell just part of my settlement? These are just some of the many questions that arise when considering selling your structured settlement. Torre recommends doing thorough research ahead of time. He offers these 5 tips to consider before selling a structured settlement:

1. Search for specialty finance companies that are able to purchase your structured settlement. Be sure to research their reputation and testimonials – what clients (past and current) say is invaluable.

2. Torre recommends not accepting the first offer to purchase your policy. Why? Browse multiple companies to make sure you’re getting the most value for your settlement.

3. Evaluate your current financial standings, and then decide whether you need to sell all or part of your structured settlement.

4. If you can’t understand the legal jargon, consult an attorney. Make sure you understand the documents and any tax ramifications that occur with liquidating your structured settlement.

5. Evaluate your financial obligations that will accrue in the future. Re-consider whether selling all or part of your structured settlement will be beneficial for you. Also, consider how accessing your assets will affect your income.

Bonus: Additionally, before you sell your structured settlement, be sure that the company you’ve chosen addresses all legal ramifications, Torre adds. Prior to purchasing policies, J.G. Wentworth seeks approval from a judge who examines the appropriateness of the transaction, including state legislation.

J.G. Wentworth is the nation’s oldest, largest and most respected buyer of deferred payments for illiquid financial assets such as structured settlements, annuity payments and life insurance policies. Since 1992, J.G. Wentworth has purchased over $3 billion of future payment obligations. J.G. Wentworth is based in Bryn Mawr, PA. For more information about J.G. French English Translation Characteristics

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

For approximately 375 million people, English is the first language. It’s second for nearly one billion people. English is the second language most widely learned in the world. Translation of documentation from other languages to English is therefore highly popular. Indeed deciding to do such a translation, whether you are doing it within your organization, or are hiring a translation agency to perform the duty, is a smart choice.

There are variations of the English language to take into account. There is obviously differences between British English and American English, but also other variations of the language. English has expanded extensively throughout the centuries, and today people speak English in Europe, Africa, North America, Asia and Australia. These variations of the English language differ vastly, as the English used in New Zealand will differ from that used in Boston and English used in Australia will differ from that used in Africa. These differences in the written and spoken versions of the English language are reasons for being extremely precise when a translation is performed, and in choosing a translator for your French English translation, you will need to take this factor into account, so as not to come out with a bad translation at the end.

Reversely as French is another very popular language, translation in the other direction is often in order. Similarly when French is the target you need to determine which French you will use for your translation. Not only is French spoken in France, it is a common language in Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. And, it is spoken by about 300 million people around the world as a native or second language in large populations of over 54 countries. Because the French language is spoken widely around the world, there are a few differences. It will depend on where your translation is intended to be used.

Another important factor is to tell the project manager of the service you choose to use for your French English translation what your document is intended to be used for. If your intended target audience is directed towards the elderly, you would not want to use the slang or phrases that you would want to use for those teenagers you are trying to capture the attention of. Not translating in the correct style could damage your credibility with potential customers.

When determining who you will hire for your French English translation, you need to find a company with the right credentials. Specifically, the translation of French should be done by an in-country person.

Some other things to consider in getting French English translations executed:
Text will typically expand or contract when translating from one language to another. English to French translation will expand approximately 15-20%, whereas French English translation may contract only from 10-15%. This will depend on your content matter. Because translation will expand, be sure to supply a medium that can accommodate this expansion once the document has been translated.

If you take the time to choose a professional French English translation service, know who your target audience is, and have the correct document support, you can have success in doing a French English translation, with a potential of millions of new clients!

Mastering Your Mind Power – Your Number 1 Challenge, Part 2

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

If only I had known about the self image as I consciously began my journey to self improvement! I think of all the dust that could have possibly fallen on the ground to help some plant grow instead of collecting on the many self help and inspirational books, magazine articles, and tapes on my book shelves.

I could have enjoyed some really great wines and a cruise or two with the money I used to attend various self improvement workshops and seminars, only to have the information fade into oblivion. I could have saved myself days, weeks, months, even years of frustration.

I would somehow be introduced to a book like Think And Grow Rich, I would purchase a copy, read it, and began applying what I had learned as outlined. My motivation was high (as least I thought I was). Six months would pass, and I would see no visible changes in my life. Doubts would gradually appear. The inner voice (of the self image) would chime in with things like: I knew this stuff would not work. If it worked for those other people, they must have had something that I don’t have.

Soon discouragement would ease its way into my thoughts. I would gradually stop applying lessons and return to my old conditioned life. A year or a few years later, I would bump into another book, maybe The Magic of Thinking Big, and I would literally repeat the above process and again and again.

I can say without a doubt that those of you who were born into families who are in the 95% group face a 100% certainty that your self image will deploy its full arsenal of doubts, fears, and phobias to challenge your efforts toward mastering your mind power. Remember, the self image has been in control of nearly every thing you have done most of your life. Now I do not mean that negative stuff is in total control of your mind all of the time. I do not believe that there is such a thing as a totally positive mind, nor a totally negative one.

If you can speak a language, drive a car, ride a bike, use a computer, or enjoy a beautiful sunset, then your self image has allowed some useful, positive thoughts, images and beliefs to enter your unconscious mind.

Ask yourself: What are my consistent thoughts? How do I feel about my job? What thoughts and images flash into my mind when I think about money, or my lack of money? How do I react when things do not go the way I think they should in my relationships? Your answers will give you a clear indication whether the power of your mind is under the influence of positive or negative control.

Here is something I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

Phillip Island

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Its a pleasant two hour drive from the centre of Melbourne to Phillip island, one that takes you through the city and then around the banks of Westernport Bay to the mainland town of San Remo, where you cross the bridge to the island town of New Haven. The moment you cross the bridge it starts to become apparent why Phillip Island is such a popular tourist destination, attracting over three and a half million people every year. The quaint and established towns have every convenience a tourist would want, and the resident population of 7000 people go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The lush inland serenity is complemented by 97 kilometres of coastline that is the perfect basis for watersports of all descriptions. You will never be bored on a holiday on Phillip Island, and the mild, temperate climate ensures your stay will be comfortable no matter what time of year you visit.

Often referred to as Nature Island, Phillip Island is something of a haven for Australian wildlife of both the aquatic and land based varieties! The most popular nature attraction on the island, and one of the most popular in Australia, is the Penguin Parade. A large colony of Little Penguins has made their home on Summerland Beach for many years now, and every evening the penguins return from their fishing escapades in the waters and waddle up the beach to their sandy burrows. Its an amazing and somewhat comical sight watching these cute birds march up the beach in large numbers- a sight that has firmly put Phillip Island on the tourist map. A Nature Park has been built around the beach, and there is a viewing platform where you can watch the parade without getting in the way of the penguins. A marine centre, Nobbies, has been built in the park, which has fun and interactive displays on the ocean and the animals that live in it.

The island also has a very large koala population, and a slow stroll through the woodland trees of the Oswin Roberts Reserve will produce numerous sightings of these laid back icons of Australia doing what they do best- relaxing! The towering gums of the Koala Conservation Centre also provide a safe home for the chilled out creatures, and at the visitor centre there is a closed viewing area and a tree top boardwalk. If you want to see more animated wildlife then head over to Seal Rocks at the south western tip of the island. A colony of 16 000 fur seals has made their home here, one of the largest colonies in Australia. Enjoy watching the seals dart through the water after fish, clumsily walk across the rocks or frolic with their young in the water. At the Nobbies marine centre you can really get up close to the seals via state of the art camera technology that allows you to zoom right up to them!

The Phillip Island coastline isn’t just reserved for seals and penguins however. The quiet and sheltered beaches on the north of the island lie next to the calm waters of Westernport Bay, which are perfect for safe swimming. These are especially popular if you have young kids, but if you want waves and a bit more excitement then the southern, ocean facing beaches are for you. The surf here is globally recognised as being consistent and reliable, although you must be careful of the strong rips and currents. Woolamai and Smiths beaches are two of the most popular surf beaches, and both are lifeguard patrolled during the summer.

Phillip Island caters well to tourists on all budgets, and all levels and types of accommodation can be found here. If you would like the freedom and comfort of your own apartment, complete with all modern facilities and complimentary parking then look no further than Quest Phillip Island. Located in the popular holiday town of Cowes, the apartments are just a short walk away from beaches, restaurants and shops, and all the major attractions of the island are within easy travelling distance. Just down the road are Quest Oceanic Apartments, which are owned by the same company and thus offer the same classy and modern features. They are the perfect base from which to explore the rest of the island!

Phillip Island was discovered over 200 years ago, as as such it has a rich culture and history. Its heritage is evident in many of the old buildings in the towns, but it is on Churchill Island where it is most striking. Accessed by bridge from the mainland this tiny island of 57 hectares is an historic working farm complete with its original homestead dating back to 1872! Visitors can explore the ancient buildings on the farm, stroll amongst the orchard trees and the traditional gardens and watch rangers demonstrate traditional farming techniques. A day here is a fun and educational outing that will help you and the kids get a better understanding of our agricultural history.

With so much to do and see on Phillip Island, its time you made it into your next holiday destination. There is something here for all age groups and interests, and with Quest Apartments as your base you will have a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable time! A hire car from Discovery is the perfect way to get to the island, and to explore its rich coastline and interior.

Backpacking in Australia

A Budget Travelers’ Guide to Australia

Australia has become something of a backpacking establishment. But although it has become long in the tooth in terms of hosting budget travelers, its range of backpacking attractions are as fresh and exciting as ever.

Budgeting

One of the reasons it has managed to maintain its place at the top of the budget traveler itinerary is the ability for foreign nationals from selected countries to apply for a working holiday visa.

Lasting for up to 12 months, workers can try and find a job in a major city such as Melbourne or Sydney within easy reach of cheap hostels in Australia and explore their many sites. Conversely, travelers can opt for the plentiful fruit picking work in more remote regions so they can better explore the ‘outback’.

Free Stuff

Australia is rightly renowned for its natural beauty, with relatively cheap forays to stunning attractions, such as the Barossa Valley and Cradle Mountain inshore or the Great Barrier Reef offshore, as well as Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, all established must-sees.

Events such as the Sydney Festival in January and the Adelaide Festival of Arts in March offer plenty on a budget, including open air concerts and street theatre. However be warned: competition for budget accommodation is high around festival time, so be sure to book in advance.

Travel

But with Australia hostels often scarce in these remote destinations, transport around the country is a key budget traveler issue. There are cheap flights between major capitals offered by providers such as Virgin Blue Australia and Air New Zealand.

However, rail is a popular backpacking option, with trains servicing major cities such as Brisbane, Canberra and Sydney as well as making more remote locations such as Broken Hill more accessible.

Conversely, for travelers keen on staying in the country for an extended period of months, perhaps traveling between hostels in Australia’s many great destinations, hiring or buying a car is also a popular option.

There are dedicated websites and companies that deal specifically in the exchange, sale and purchase of vehicles for gap year travelers and long-term visitors, as well as plenty of cheap car hire options in major cities.

Before settling down and becoming a copywriter for HostelBookers. Ben Cooper did a backpacking tour of Australia, he checked out a variety of Hostels in Australia.

Photos onto Canvas a perfect gift idea

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

The world of internet has grown rapidly over the last few years. With the passage of time and rise in awareness amongst the internet users, people have come to realize that they can buy anything over the internet. Whether you want to buy a car or daily use products you can easily place the order with your desired retailer anytime of the day or night. There are many things that people like to buy over the internet but nothing can match the demand of getting photos onto canvas.

Nowadays people prefer to give personalized gifts to others rather then giving something out of the blue or rushing to the mall at the last minute and choosing a photograph at random. What people do not realize is that they can give a much better gift then a random photograph. The world of internet and IT has changed a lot and during this process of change it has provided us with lots of facilities one such example is digital photography. With so many digital cameras easily available in market now anyone can take photographs anywhere they want. With this ease of taking photographing getting the photos onto canvas is even easier.

Photos onto canvas are considered to be the ideal gift for any occasion. Now you can print any photo of your choice on canvas and give it as a gift to someone or hang it in your home, office or anywhere else you like. But the first thing to find out is a place where you can order your photos onto canvas. You have two options to choose from, you can go to a nearby market and place your order with a canvas printing press or you can order it online on a website that offers its services for canvas prints like www.canvasdezign.co.uk.

However before ordering your photos on canvas online you need to consider certain things. First of all conduct a little research about different websites and the prices they offer for canvas prints. You will see a major difference in the prices between various websites some will charge you more while the other will charge you less. This difference in price is due to the type of canvas prints and these types are listed below

1. Art Print Canvas
2. Photo Printing Giclee
3. Print with Superchrome
4. Abstract Canvas Print
5. Print Canvas

When ordering your photos on canvas it is very important to understand these various types of canvas photos because the right choice can really make a difference. Mostly you will get your canvas pictures which are made in solvent based inks and are PVC coated. But you must also keep in mind that this type of canvas picture is although cheap but not very long lasting. First of all it will have a plastic feel as well as look. Secondly it will start cracking from the corners soon. Some printers might try to deceive you by selling their products by calling them “Giclee Prints” but this is not the case here.

You can choose the alternative most commonly known by the name “wooden canvas” in which your photo on canvas will be printed using water based ink which is also heat incurred. This type of canvas is also used in production of prints on products such as hand bags, shoes, and other textile products and preferred due to their eco friendly nature. The main reason it is used in textile printing is that it is not very hard and does not give an artificial look or feel to the buyer and you get a much higher quality.

When choosing a canvas printing service online to get your photo on canvas printed another major thing you will need to know about the canvas printer is the type of inkjet printer they will be using to print your photograph on canvas. You can not know whether they are using good quality printer by looking at the photographs they have put on their website because no one will put bad photographs on their website. For this you will have to look out for the review of various customers of the website. Also you can try to look for satisfaction guarantee offered by the website. This way you can be fairly sure that you will get what you are paying for.

The last decision you will need to make regarding the photos on canvas is the frames. There are various options available when it comes to selection of frames. If these photos on canvas printing services are using 1.5 to 2 inch frame then you can be sure of good quality prints but on the other hand if it is a ½ inch frame then it means low quality frames. This type of frame is usually made from cheap knotty pine or MDF.

Choosing a good photo on canvas printing service is very important to ensure that you can save your precious memories for a long time.

Conrad McKee have very sound knowledge of photographs to canvas and Canvas prints he is legend in his field for more details you can visit photos onto canvas.

The seven commandments of flyer printing: what you need to know

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

A great flyer never fails to amaze and excite the customer. Even several weeks later the customer will remember your brand and what you are offering. If you truly want to stand apart from the competition, it is essential to know a few things about flyer printing.

1. No black and white flyer printing

Today if you want to create a winning impression with print media, you will need to use bold and vibrant colors. That means no more of the mundane black and white backgrounds. Instead, make sure your flyer printing has plenty of interesting colors but also make sure they stick to your brand attributes.

2. Glossy paper for that added style in flyer printing

If you want to be known as a high end business that is highly professional then your flyer printing needs to use only glossy paper. Matte finish papers used to be fashionable earlier but not any more. Today, the key is to go classy and chic without being over the top.

3. High resolution images for winning flyer printing designs

Nothing seems to take away from a flyer more than a scratchy image with bad resolution and quality. Customers tend to notice all these small details. Having poor quality images will make your business seem unprofessional and below average. If you want to truly impress customers then make sure to use high resolution images in your flyer printing efforts.

4. Concise and effective ad copy in your flyer printing

Gone are the days when puffery would impress. Today’s customers want you to cut to the chase. No one has the time to read pages of text. That is why keeping your advertising copy clear and straightforward is the best approach to effective flyer printing.

5. Don’t use too many fonts in your flyer printing

Nothing puts off a customer more than a flyer that has several font variations. It affects readability not to mention the fact that it also confuses the customer! Try and always stick to two or maximum three fonts. That way you are highlighting the important points and not making the flyer look cluttered. A good flyer printing provider will always ensure this aspect.

6. Most important: call to action in flyer printing

You might have a fantastic flyer that has really impressed customers. However, if you do not have a call to action at the end it just remains a reading material as opposed to a sales pitch. In order to transform that flyer into a sale, you need to lure the customer into either calling or emailing you to enquire about information or a demo. This is one crucial aspect of flyer printing.

7. Always be accessible in your flyer printing efforts

If you want your customer to get in touch with you, then make sure to include all your contact details in a clear and legible manner. Right from the website URL to your email, fax and telephone numbers, you should mention all of this as part of your flyer printing campaign.

Selling on eBay Auctions and Living To Tell The Tale

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

If it’s your first time selling on eBay then you will have a couple of things in common with other people – you’ll probably fail when selling on your first few ebay auctions. Many first timers will fail time and time again, and won’t understand what they’re doing wrong. They’ll do hours and hours of research into what is the right thing to sell, set up their first auction, and just wait for the winning bid to roll in. Hours will go by with no bids being place, and days will go by with not one bid on their eBay auction – or the bids are dreadfully low. Finally the auction will end and it will turn out to be a total failure for the new eBay seller. However, considering the large amount of sellers that are running and competing by setting up eBay auctions everyday, there are a few things that you should do, with a few other specific things that you shouldn’t do if you are going to be an eBay power seller.

1. Demand for a product – Many eBay auctions fail simply because nobody wants the product you are offering, essentially there isn’t enough of a high demand for your product. You can avoid this problematic stumbling block by doing adequate research in order to determine what items will sell well on an eBay auction. You should also note which items should be avoided in your research – this research will take you quite an amount of time to complete, but it will be time well spent.

2. Pricing – Many eBay auctions fail because a new seller will put the wrong starting price on an auction. It really doesn’t matter what your reserve price is, you should have a starting bid of around $50, as this will attract potential bidders to place a bid on your eBay auction. If you set the opening bid at a high price, then post people won’t even click through to read the description of your item. If you too are not researching current pricing and pricing strategies, then you could commit the mistake of setting a reserve price that is too low for your item and you should compare your product with other similar items that have sold in the past, and adapt your eBay auction pricing strategy appropriately.

3. Poor Sales copy – When you look over an eBay auction listing you want the written descriptions to entice you to read more about the auction. Poorly written copy, as well as bad grammar and misspellings can drive people away from your auction. You should make sure that you post up picture with you written copy, as this will compliment any details that you have given for your product.

4. Shipping Prices – eBay sellers who offer free or low shipping on their auction items will generally find that they will receive much higher bids than those that charge higher shipping prices. By offering ‘no charge handling fee’, a person feels they are getting a discount from you as an eBay seller and so will be more likely to bid higher on the auction item as they are getting ‘free shipping’.

5. Offering great customer service – If you are new to eBay and learning how to sell on eBay then you should remember one thing – great customer service sells, period. If the items you are selling are everything that your sales copy is stating, you offer quick responses, ask for feedback and offer great customer service then you should be on your way to receive wonderful feedback as well as generating repeat buyer from your eBay business. This rapor you have built and excellent feedback will help in your future selling on ebay auctions.

Places of Pilgrim’s Interest

Monday, March 24th, 2008

A Journey to holy place or place of religious interest for a religious reason is known as pilgrimage. It is a special kind of travel. The tourist who makes this physical and spiritual journey is known as a pilgrim. The prospects in this area of tourism are unlimited, because of spiritual interests of people, along with the cultural and historical importance of holy places. People tend to travel from one cornet of world to another for pilgrimage. Every year millions of Islam followers visit Mecca to offer their prayers to Prophet Mohammad at his birthplace. The scenario is similar for different religion or religious places.

Pilgrimage Hubs

Religious places from different religions are scattered all around the world, but the places with major importance lies in one country or place. The most important places of pilgrimage are as follows:
1. Jerusalem – Jerusalem is the holiest city in for Judaism, Christianity, and third most important place for Islam. The place is the spiritual center of the Jewish people since the 10th century BCE. The city contains a number of significant ancient Christian sites and is widely considered the third-holiest city in Islam.

2. Mecca – The city is most important religious place for Muslims for containing the holiest place of Islam, the Grand Mosque of Mecca. A pilgrimage to Mecca during the season of the Hajj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, a sacred duty that is required of all able-bodied Muslims who can afford to go, at least once in their lifetime. People of other faiths are officially forbidden from entering the city.

3. Bodhgaya – Bodh Gaya is the most important of the main four pilgrimage sites related to the life of Gautama Buddha. This is the place of Lord Buddha’s enlightenment.

4. Amritsar – The place is home to the Golden Temple, and is the spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh religion. This important Sikh shrine attracts more visitors than the Taj Mahan in Agra and is the number one destination for non-resident Indians (NRI) in the whole of India.
Along with these places, there are several places in Indian sub-continent important for followers of Hinduism. It is not possible to describe all places of Hinduism interest, because of their abundance all around sub-continent. Around these pilgrim hubs, there are several other places, which attracts pilgrims. These places are attracting tourists from other religion too. The reason is cultural, historical, and architectural importance of these places or monuments of these places. Tour and Travel agencies are offering special tour packages to attract the pilgrims during holy times of the year. Travel Agencies are proving all kinds of benefits to pilgrims according to their religious beliefs. The trend of Religious Tourism will be increasing in future too.

Business Translation Services Taken Too Lightly

Monday, March 24th, 2008

The need for business translation services is sometimes taken too lightly by people and organizations. However, translation is an important subject that should be considered in a sensible manner to avoid bad results. Before starting a project that involves translating documents or materials, take into consideration the following misconceptions regarding translation.

Some people believe that as long as they know a foreign language, they could be a translator. This is not the case. This is probably the most common translation misconception and the most damaging one. Being able to speak, read and write in a foreign language does not give anyone a certification to perform good translation work. A translator needs to have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of at least two languages: a foreign language and a mother tongue, but translation is not just know-how, it is a honed skill. You must be able to write well and have an excellent command of the distinction in language use. Language is influenced largely by cultural differences. If the culture behind the language which is being translated is not known and appreciated, an accurate translation is extremely difficult and ideas can be misconstrued very easily.

People also view translation as an easy task. It’s far from easy. It is very complex and involved and takes very hard work to get the job done in a professional manner. Having to simultaneously concentrate on two different languages, whether written or verbalized, is mentally taxing. This is because a translator is continuously moving between the two. A translator must first read and understand source information, then manage to interpret it and present it accurately in the target language to the target audience. This means having an excellent vocabulary and appreciating the language, phrases, metaphors, tone and intention. You could only expect a translator from a reputable business translation service to be knowledgeable in all of these areas.

One can think that we now have the means to utilize computers to do our translating, so why is there a need to pay for professional business translation services? Wow. This would be a terrible mistake and could possibly cost you a client or an important relationship. No translation program will ever be able to take the place of a human translator, especially a qualified one from a good business translation service agency. This is because computers do not understand the inner workings of language and the ever-changing uses. Computers may be able to translate simple sentences but they will never be able to cover the complexities within literature, technical or even medical texts.

Some people and organizations also believe that it is not critical to have a professional translator from a reputable business translation service agency do the job. This is also a misconception and could be very costly. Professional translators may not always be necessary, but if your translation is complex and needs to be prepared and presented perfectly to impress a client, then such an experienced translator is crucial. Bad translations lead to many problems, including people misunderstanding texts which ultimately reflect poorly on a company or organization.

So, think twice before you decide to utilize the computer to translate for you, or an employee who knows another language. Those are important choices in which business relationships rely upon. You want to make a good first impression, especially if it’s a new client and more often than not using a competent business translation service agency will pay off by preventing costly misunderstandings or losses and forwarding an excellent image of your company.

Choose a licensed & insured roofer

Monday, March 24th, 2008

It sounds simple enough. If you want to ensure that your roofing project is contracted with a reputable roofing company, choose a roofer that is licensed and insured. However, some states don’t require licensing. This can make finding a qualified roofer a bit more difficult, however, it is not impossible.

The first course of action is to check with your state’s Department of Professional Regulation and Licensing. Your local department is a wealth of information and can give you all of the information that you need to ensure that your roofer is highly qualified for the job. Once you find out what your state’s licensing and insuring policies are, your next step is to ask the roofer for verification.

A common mistake that many homeowners or business owners make in regards to choosing a licensed and insured roofer is that they simply don’t ask for or verify references. You should ask the roofer to see proof of certification, licenses and their insurance as applicable to state law. However, you should also ask for references from former customers. Yet, those references won’t do you any good if you don’t call them. Make sure you are diligent and thoroughly check out any references that the roofing company gives you.

If your state doesn’t require licensing, you can ask if the roofer has been trained or licensed by any of the manufacturers that they work with. Typically, manufacturers of various roofing materials will provide training and courses in proper installation. A qualified roofing company should be able to provide you with these certifications. Additionally, you should also check with your local Better Business Bureau to see if there have been any past complaints filed against the company. You should also make certain that the roofing company only hires insured and thoroughly trained employees. Ask to see proof of workman’s compensation or other safety certifications for the company’s employees as well.
