Plastic Surgeons and Plastic Surgery

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Good looks are the norm these days. People are ready to go to any extent to get the perfect look so much so that getting under the knife is no longer an issue. Earlier plastic surgery was done to rectify the functional issues. A plastic surgeon was skilled enough to correct the person’s appearance in case of damage due to a mishap. Plastic and reconstructive surgery would help the patient get back to leading a normal life. Reconstructive surgery is an essential part of plastic surgery. Visiting a good plastic surgery clinic for your needs is absolutely imperative. California is known for its competent plastic surgeons and a plastic surgery clinic California would be a good place to find a good surgeon. From plastic surgery there came another branch known as cosmetic surgery. A cosmetic surgeon would correct minor problems only for aesthetic and cosmetic reasons. Almost anything is possible with cosmetic surgery today, from acne scar removal in which different methods including laser is used as acne scarring treatment methods to body contouring where various surgical procedures are used on different parts of the body to give the body a well formed look.

Plastic surgery can be done for various reasons. Brow lift plastic surgery actually smoothes the lines on the forehead and lifts the eyebrow to make the face better defined. Brow lift surgery lasts only for about 2 hours and is usually done on local anesthesia. Another surgical option for brow lift is the endoscopic brow lift surgery where the surgery is less invasive and is best suited for those who require very less skin removal. A brow lift surgery is at times combined with a blepharoplasty surgery which is an eyelid lift surgery where the upper or lower eyelid is reshaped. Also known as eyelid tuck, the surgery removes the fat or skin on the eyelids and makes your eyes looking younger. Although blepharoplasty is a part of ophthalmology, blepharoplasty is mainly for cosmetic purposes. Choosing a blepharoplasty surgeon carefully is essential since it is not just the appearance that is at stake here but a small mistake can cost you your vision which would be a very high price to pay.

Over the years our skin tends to sag. Some people look far older than their age due to the stress and pressures in life. Anti-ageing treatment would be best suited for such patients. Alma skin tightening laser treatment is another new option that is being adopted by many today. It uses radio frequency and is a non-surgical process. Laser treatment for acne along with other laser skin treatment has produced very encouraging results. Laser skin tightening methods have a loyal clientele. Botox injection which is a derivative of Clostridium Botulinum bacterium is also a popular method of treating age related facial lines. Bovine collagen is similar to Botox and is an injection meant to get rid of wrinkles and scars. It is basically a cow skin extract that is purified and sterilized before administering to the patient. The non-surgical injection is quite sought after by patients looking for alternative treatment options.

About Search Engine Marketing And How It Can Help Your Business

Friday, May 30th, 2008

When you have a home business there are a lot of ways that you are going to want to use to market your business. One of the most important ones you need to know is search engine marketing. It is not as hard as it seems to understand or use to market your business but if you don’t know anything about it then it can seem very daunting and frustrating. So this article is going to tell you about search engine marketing so that you understand it better and can start using it yourself.

Search engine marketing is basically what it sounds like; it is when you can get the search engines to list your website in the search engine results that people find when they are searching for something specific. There are a couple of different ways that you can use search engine marketing to get your website listed.

One: Organic Listings – This seems to be the hardest way to get your website listed in the search engines and it takes the longest. What organic listings are is when you use keywords to optimize your website and you have fresh content on your site because of articles that you have written. Also, the more links you have pointing to your website from other sites, the faster you will get listed in the organic listings. Organic listings are when you have worked at getting fresh content on your site, links pointing to your site and you have optimized it enough that the search engines start listing it on their own.

Two: Paid search engine marketing – You may have already guessed at what this is. This is when you pay a company to list your website with the many different search engines. There are a lot of companies out there that you can hire to do this for you but it can get expensive so you want to make sure this is what you want to do before you do it.

These are the two best ways to get your website listed in the search engines. Obviously, more people use the first option because everything can be done for free. You use whatever way you want to, even both if you want, just make sure you learn as much as you can about search engine marketing. This is very important because search engine marketing is going to be one of the best ways for you to advertise your business.

If you are looking for a tax lawyer you need to know how to find the best one possible. However, as with all types of lawyers, there are good tax lawyers as well as bad ones and it is important to find the right one for you.

There are a number of questions that you need to ask any tax lawyer before you decide which company to hire. Obviously, experience is a key factor in narrowing down your list of potential candidates to a reasonably small number. If the tax lawyer you are considering has no recent experience with court cases then you should avoid using their services. This is because the tax laws are constantly changing and it is vital that your chosen tax lawyer is completely up to date with current legislation.

The track record of any tax lawyer is also important. If you ask any tax lawyer how many cases they have won, and lost, this will give you an idea of how effective they are at pleading your case. However, your individual circumstances should be taken into account and you need to ask the lawyer if they have had specific experience with a similar case and what the outcome was.

The best tax lawyer is one that specialises in more difficult cases and is more likely to be able to help you in whatever situation you find yourself.

The methods used by a lawyer in preparing your case should also be a consideration. Usually, a tax lawyer will be extremely thorough in investigating the circumstances surrounding your case and you should look for the most comprehensive service possible. A thorough tax lawyer will look into all of your financial records and gather evidence, of course, but will also look into any other mitigating circumstances to help with your plea.

Of course, any tax lawyer would like to claim that they can have any case against you dismissed but the reality is that this is often unlikely. You should discuss with the lawyers on your shortlist what penalties they anticipate you being given and how they plan to negotiate for lower ones. Obviously, you want to have a tax lawyer who can obtain the most lenient fines possible, even if the case against you is very clear.

Finally and probably most importantly, is the rapport that you feel when you are talking to the individual tax lawyer. It is essential that you are able to discuss everything freely and openly with whichever tax lawyer you finally decide to hire. If you do not feel comfortable talking with a particular lawyer then simply cross them off your list and move on to the next one.

5 Simple Tips on Choosing The Right Motorhome Rental

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Thinking of trying out motorhoming for the very first time? Then you might be wondering what motorhome you’d want to choose for that vacation trip. You can do this by matching your needs to the motorhome with the best or closest match. Firstly, consider how many passengers you’d have or berths that you would need. In this case, the beds that you would be needing with the people travelling. This is the first thing to consider and must be right the first time. This will decide and help you narrow your motorhome choices. Berths range from 2 berths, 3 berths, 4, 5 and even 6 berths. Note that double beds count as 2 berths in some motorhomes, so take care in choosing.

Next, what facilities would you need? Determine how self-sufficient you’d want to be. Possibilities include toilet, heating, shower, kitchen, storage, batteries or power and gas heating. Note that even a small motorhome has all the facilities and probably would have smaller water tanks and fridge, too. Which means, you’d have to “service” your vehicle more often that with a larger version. If you are arranging for camping away from campsites, then you’d want to be self-sufficient as possible and take note of the facilities you would need. But in case you’d be planning to stay in campsites during most of your time, you may take the opportunity to avail of the modern campsite facilities such as a shower and toilet. Which also means you wouldn’t be constantly refilling your water tank. Small campervans may meet all the self-sufficiency requirements, but they can be limited when it comes to comfort and space. Consider the lay-out and access in this case.

When you’ve got that covered, how long will you be on your trip? How long you will be away is a deciding factor with creature comforts. Consider the living space you’d want to have for a week’s trip, and so forth. The limited space is often a big factor for children. Fresh water and waste water tanks mean frequent refilling and emptying of cassettes and tanks.

Would you be driving most of the time? Or would you rather spend it most of the time on campsites? Whatever your travel plans are, just be cautious that some areas and roads have restrictions when it comes to motorhomes. Driving a motorhome is entirely different than driving a family van. Consider the width restrictions on the area you would be visiting. Motorhomes oftentimes could be too wide in some roads. Consider the flexibility of your motorhome, the maneuverability and dimensions, especially with high tops. Rental operators can help you with this one.

Finally, the budget! Obviously motorhomes aren’t cheap. This is because of the age of the vehicle, the amenities, and the design of the motorhome. Which is good news, because this means that this can be a good initial investment. Rent the newest vehicle that they would have, aging from 0 – 3 years.

Renting a motorhome can be of great value, as it is cheaper in some ways. Give it a try on your next vacation…. Read more at Campervan rental Australia Motorhome hire

A Virtual Receptionist Service Can Help Small Businesses Grow

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

With the recent buzz about rising gas prices and people using the term going green, the idea of a virtual office is gaining popularity in today’s culture. A virtual office is essentially a shared office that includes everything a business needs to prosper which can include phone service, fax service, answering services, website hosting, and more. Virtual office services mean your employees can utilize office services while not actually being in the office and your company can save money by packaging office services into one discounted bill and letting unessential employees go. Perhaps the most important aspect of a virtual office is having a 24 hour live voice answering your calls and routing your messages without the headache and cost of hiring an in office receptionist.

In your office, the receptionist is on the front lines for your business or practice. Your receptionist will handle calls, route them, screen and point your calls where they need to go. In many cases, the receptionist is the most impression left to your callers, and it’s important the impression you set is a lasting one. Every call is potentially the most important call your company will ever get and the receptionist in your virtual office will handle this aspect of growing a business at a fraction of the cost.

In today’s world with telephony technology, your receptionist no longer needs to be sitting at a desk in the front of your office. In fact your receptionist does not even need to be an employee. A virtual receptionist is the way to reduce overhead, increase efficiency and improve your image. In fact the virtual receptionist is the most important component in today’s virtual office. When looking for a virtual office service, make sure the receptionist is familiar with your genre of business and understands the importance of routing your calls and presenting a knowledgeable and caring telephone presence. When done correctly, your virtual office will offer your company every benefit of having a personal, virtual receptionist without the overhead of hiring an employee. To be most effective and appear as if they are member of your office staff, your virtual receptionists should answer your telephone with your custom greeting and follow your instructions. They should also be able to screen, announce, and transfer your calls anywhere, to your office, home, even to your cell phone. Your virtual office receptionist is an extension of your office and should do the job as if they were in your office.

As I said before, the greatest benefit of having a virtual office service and a virtual receptionist is the significant cost savings. With a virtual receptionist located in an answering service, you only pay for the time we are handling your phone calls. You never have to pay any costs that come with having full time employee. A virtual office can eliminate the headaches of having an employee including turnover, payroll taxes, benefits and absenteeism. With a virtual receptionist you don’t have to worry about lunch breaks, employee relations and meeting the high cost of payroll and employee related lawsuits. Essentially, you get all the benefits of an employee without having an employee.

Answering your phone is a critical component in the success of any business. It is what makes businesses succeed while other businesses fail, and this trend transcends industries. From heating companies to medical and doctor’s offices, your telephones need to be answered by a live voice. Making sure your phone are answered and answered professionally is critical. Whoever you choose for your virtual office answering service and receptionist service, make sure they understand the importance of answering your phones properly. When you are deciding on the right answering service, check if they offer a trial period, contact a few references, and check your phone lines often in the beginning phases of utilizing the service to ensure your telephone lines are being handled properly and your messages being routed in a timely manner. Missed call often result in missed calls and lost opportunities and lost revenue.

A virtual employees offer is an off premise operator that fits your needs. They help businesses grow by making the most out of every telephone call and presenting a professional appearance to all current and prospective clients. A virtual employee and virtual office also offers significant cost savings for a small to medium sized business by packaging office services into one convenient bill as well as offering an out of office receptionist service for a fraction of the cost and struggle of having an intra office employee. A live voice managing your telephone calls is more professional than voicemail and is very cost effective. Hiring the right virtual office service will allow your staff to focus on their jobs instead of just handling your phone calls. An answering service and virtual receptionist is truly the greatest decision that a business can make.

Mastery of Internet Marketing
Copyright © James Brogan

Merriam-webster dictionary describes mastery as (a: possession or display of great skill or technique b: skill or knowledge that makes one master of a subject). So the question is. How does one become a master of any given subject? According to George Leonard, author of Education and Ecstacy and The Way of Aikido, mastery is the act of setting your foot on the path.

As a fifth Dan black belt in Aikido and award -winning writer on education, fitness, and personal development, Leonard is very familiar with mastery and what he has to say on the subject is very liberating.

There are no shortcuts, he say’s no special tickets needed, and none available even if you wanted one. You don’t need to be born with special abilities to enter into mastery, nor is it reserved for the super-talented. You don’t even need to have gotten an early start.

Abert Einstein said it like this “Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person.

The upward journey of success is available to anyone who is willing to get on the path and stay on it. But it’s only being immersed in the process, the day-by-day progression, that you will come to know the road. That’s how you will aquire and refine the skills and awareness you’ll need to become a master.

I submit to you that you are already a master. As a baby you had to overcome many obstacles. Take walking for one, you didn’t just say one day I am going to get up off my hands and knees and walk. You had to take baby steps. When you failed (fell) you didn’t just give up and say well I guess this walking thing isn’t for me, I think I will just crawl for the rest of my life-which really isn’t that bad.. Of course not. You were on the path of mastery. You were already a master and now it was only a matter of your walking skills catching up.

As we grow up we spend our life hearing more no’s than yes-es which really makes it hard for us to stay positive but you must if your going to master any given subject or skill. In the past I had personally failed at Internet Marketing at least twice, but I learned something each time and I have this passion (Desire) in me that keeps me on the road to success.

I will leave you with this quote from Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich “There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it”

Competition and Being Number One- Uncovering The Algorithm, Keywords

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

By following these steps you will see that most closely guarded secret– the search algorithm. Remember the movie “The Matrix?” The Matrix is there, you just can’t see it. So is the search algorithm.

It’s easy to pay a Search Engine Optimizer to give your pages some ranking power. Unfortunately, given the inherent time factor involved in climbing the ranks, your money may be long gone before you know if you’ve spent your money well.

THERE IS NO MAGIC PILL

Forget any advertisement you see for instant number one search results or automated this or that. Most are scams, and the ones that aren’t might get you positioned, but it will be very short lived.

Search engine optimization is an ongoing process. Achieving and maintaining a high rank, especially on highly competitive keywords, requires constant maintenance. If you do find a legitimate SEO firm, it is well worth the money to pay their monthly maintenance fee and let them continue to help you after the initial project. At least for 6 months or a year as you establish yourself.

In this article we’ll look at some of the intricate and complex tasks of optimizing a page for long term ranking power. You will learn how to read between the code and the content to find what is necessary to bring you to the top. Being number one is easy to say, but is quickly overwhelming when you stare at tens of thousands of pages you want to out rank. So how do you begin?

The starting line on the road to that first page SERP (search engine results page) ranking is not as blurry as you might think. In fact, you can uncover the starting line, the route, and all the scenery along the way to the finish line without knowing the search engine algorithm.

STEP 1- YOUR KEYWORDS ARE THE CROWNING ACHIEVEMENT OF GRUELLING DAYS OF WORK

If you have investments in the stock market you know how much research and thought goes into choosing those securities. Now take that same effort and multiply it by three. That’s how much planning and revision your keywords should take.

A simple, broad key phrase like “shoes” could hypothetically bring you up in a countless stream of different searches. Women’s shoes, baby shoes, sneakers, high heels, etc. If somehow you manage to settle into a good ranking (which would be difficult) you would have more traffic on your site than you could handle. But traffic is worthless is it doesn’t get to it’s destination. Chances are, you weren’t that destination.

Your keywords must be focused and precise, specific to what you are selling. Using a key phrase like “Gucci mens black leather loafer” will bring a targeted lead to your site. You may not reach as many people as the more generalized keyword, but the people that do come to you have a much deeper interest in the specific product you are selling.

Therefore you have much greater chance of converting that targeted lead to a sale. Your keywords are your magic beans, your winning lotto numbers, your energizer bunnies, your sales force, whatever you want to call them. They must be perfect.

STEP 2- WANT TO BE NUMBER ONE? LOOK AT WHO ALREADY IS

Competition Analysis- no SEO book can give you this information.

Now take your keyword list and type them into a search engine. Who comes up in the first ten results? That company that is number one is because they have most closely matched what the search engine algorithm says should be number one. You can learn a great deal from them.

A. INTERNAL FACTORS

Take that number one page, and the other top 9 pages and study them, look at the code, break them down. You are looking at the first half of what is needed to rank in the top 10 pages for your key phrases on that particular search engine. The list of what to look for is enormous.

Studying the Internal Factors on a page is taking it apart to see how it’s put together. Not how it works, but statistical research into the precise construct and layout of keywords and phrases in relation to each other within the page.

Start with these areas:

URL address, Page Title, Meta description, Meta Keywords, First sentence on the page, Body copy, Bold or Emphasized Phrases, H1 or other tags, Alt Tags, Navigation system

In each of those sections, look at:

Keyword densities- the number of times your phrase and each word in your phrase appears compared to the text around it

Where and in how many times the same phrase and words appear in different sections

The word and character position of each phrase in each

The total number of characters

The total number of words

The quality and thought of the content

Beginning with these comparisons should keep you quite busy for a while. A spreadsheet is quite useful. Some commercial products are also available that can make this daunting task much more feasible. Keep looking for other patterns and differences. You want to duplicate them in your own page. NOT copy and steal. You want to mimic the patterns that are bringing that page to the position it is. Then move onto to examining the external factors of these pages.

B. EXTERNAL FACTORS

External factors of a web page deal with the links to, from and within a web page, both inside the same site, and out into the web. This analysis usually takes more time because it involves more dissection of pages beyond the one you’re trying to optimize.

In this analysis as with Internal Factors, you want to compare and contrast your page versus the top 10 competitors, find similarities and differences. Here is a list of criteria to get you started.

Number of internal (to the same site) on that page

Number of external links

Number of links pointing TO that page* (see below for details)

The link/anchor text- which keywords are used and where

Google Page Rank value of incoming links

Alexa Rank of incoming links

*To get a listing of the links that point to a site, type the following into Google, MSN and Yahoo searches: “link:www.domainname.com”. Google tends to only show a small portion of the links back, but MSN and Yahoo will give you much more pertinent data.

Now you want to compare the content on each of these pages to the one they point to. Is it of similar theme, in what context does the link back appear and where. Subject of much debate, the consensus is that Google Page Rank does not mean what it used to. However, if it is in some fashion a measure of how significant or “important” a site is, it is worth looking more closely at the sites that link back that are of high page rank.

EVEN A SURGEON USES TOOLS

Now, this is definitely a ton of work to do all by hand. There are software programs that can help do some of the digging and mathematical computations for you, figuring out densities and organizing information.

Tools like this are definitely ones a professional SEO will have in their arsenal. But remember, these are tools, not miracle workers. It takes a human being to evaluate and realize connections, similarities, draw conclusions and interpret the data. Then, you have to extrapolate this data.

Remember, you want to do one better than every site you just examined. To do that you have to draw some conclusions and make some educated guesses and link to even better sites.

FINAL THOUGHTS

You have access to the inner workings of every page that you want to beat. Learn from them and do one better. This process is not a one-time shot. It is ongoing. Check your key phrases every week. Do the same people still rank in the top ten?

Some have probably moved. Remember too that they’re going to adapt to maintain their positions too. If you want the ranks, you have to spend the time, and not just once, or pay someone to do it for you.

Don’t ever believe anyone who says they can guarantee any kind of results. And ask them how they will optimize your pages. If they explain to you something like the above, then you’ve probably got yourself someone experienced and honest. You money will be well spent and you’ll quickly recover it.

Attack of the Cancer

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

That’s right, the colorful little fruit (yes, it’s a fruit) has been shown to pack a powerful punch against several forms of cancer. A variety of studies indicate that a diet rich in tomato based products (tomato paste, sauce, juice, soup and ketchup) can significantly reduce the risk of prostate, lung and colon cancer. Not bad for a fruit that was considered by many to be poisonous and inedible until the 19th century.

What is the Active Ingredient?

The active ingredient that makes tomatoes such a formidable opponent against cancer cells is the carotenoid called Lycopene. Lycopene is the natural red pigment found in tomatoes and tomato based products. The redder the tomato, the more lycopene is present.

How does Lycopene Fight Cancer?

In the body, lycopene is deposited in the liver, lungs, prostate gland, colon and skin. Its concentration in body tissues tends to be higher than all other carotenoids. Some organs, such as the testes and adrenal glands, store higher levels of lycopene than do other organs or tissues. Lycopene acts as a super antioxidant by picking up free radicals in the body. Free radicals are atoms or groups of atoms with an odd number of electrons and can be formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules. Once formed these highly reactive radicals can start a chain reaction. Their primary danger comes from the damage they can do when they react with important cellular components such as DNA, or the cell membrane. Cells may function poorly or die if this occurs.

Is there any Research on the Cancer fighting power of Lycopene?

Although more large-scale studies are needed before any definitive conclusions can be made, current research does suggest that lycopene from various tomato products is indeed associated with the lowered risk of several types of cancers. Several published reports are listed below.

Gann et al. 1999 – Cancer Research
The study examined initial plasma caroteniods (including lycopene) of 1872 men in 1982, and then followed them for 13 years. These men were randomly assigned to a placebo group or a group to receive beta-carotene and aspirin supplementation. Of the men studied, 578 developed prostate cancer versus 1294 control subjects. Lycopene was the only antioxidant with a significantly lower average blood level in those men with cancer as compared to those without cancer. In those men not receiving the aspirin and beta carotene, plasma lycopene levels were very strongly related to a lower risk of developing prostate cancer. This study concluded that increased consumption of tomato products and other lycopene-containing foods may reduce the onset of prostate cancer.

Giovannucci 1999 – Journal of the National Cancer Institute
This journal is a review of research studies available regarding cancer risk (not just prostate cancer) and intake of tomato based foods as well as blood lycopene levels. After identifying 72 studies that fit these criteria, it was found that an inverse relationship between tomato intake or blood lycopene levels and cancer risk was reported in 57 of them. Of these 57, it was found that 35 of these inverse relationships were statistically significant. It was also found that cancer protection from lycopene was strongest for prostate, colon and stomach cancers, but also appeared to have some benefit in the treatment of other cancers.

Rao et al. 1999 – Nutrition and Cancer
This study examined plasma and prostate lycopene levels in cancer patients and a control group free of cancer. Though only 12 patients were in each group, significantly lower serum and prostate lycopene levels were found in those with cancer. Levels of other carotenoid substances did not vary between the groups.

Additional Benefits

In addition to fighting cancer, the lycopene found in tomatoes has been associated with better mental activity in old age and a reduced risk of heart disease. A University of Maryland study found that tomatoes might protect the eyes by hampering macular degeneration, a cause of vision loss in older adults.

How do I get Lycopene into my body?

The best source of lycopene intake is through eating tomato-based products. This is more effective than supplementation. You will get the most lycopene through concentrates and processed products such as tomato paste, sauce, soup and canned tomatoes. Heating helps to release lycopene and adding a little light olive oil will increase absorption. Start packing your diet with more tomato based recipes and begin enjoying the cancer fighting power of the mighty tomato.

The Western White Wedding Australia’s Most Popular Public Ceremony

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

In Australia the marriage rate is generally stable, although there has been a decline over the past twenty years. In 2005, 109,000 marriages were registered in Australia, which is equivalent to 5.4 marriages for every 1,000 people. Couples are also marrying later with the average age of first-time brides being 27.5 years in 2004 and increase of 4.5 years since 1984.

In some countries, cultures and religions, the actual act of marriage begins during the wedding ceremony. In others, like Australia, the legal act of marriage occurs at the time of signing a marriage license or other legal document, and the wedding is then an opportunity to perform a traditional ceremony and celebrate with friends and family.

A woman being married is called a bride, a man called a bridegroom or groom, and after the ceremony they become a wife or a husband, respectively.

Most weddings contain wedding vows and a public proclamation of marriage, usually by a government approved celebrant. The Australian Marriage Celebrants Program was established in 1973. It enables the appointment of suitably qualified people to perform marriages and provides couples with a meaningful alternative to Government Registry Office and mainstream church weddings.

Most weddings also involve wearing traditional clothes (gowns, kilts, white gown, red sari and so on). A wedding is often followed or accompanied by a wedding reception. Some receptions are very expensive and elaborate affairs costing tens of thousands of dollars while other may just be a group of friends and family sharing a meal at a local restaurant.

Other elements during the wedding service may include music, poetry, prayer or scripture readings. Some elements of the traditional Western wedding ceremony symbolize the bride’s departure from her father’s control and entry into a new family with her husband.

A number of cultures utilize the western custom of a bride wearing a white dress. This tradition came to symbolize purity in the Victorian era. Within the ‘white wedding’ tradition, a white dress and veil would not have been considered appropriate for a second or third wedding of a widow or a divorcee.

The custom of exchanging rings may be the oldest and most universal symbol of marriage, but the origins are unclear. The ring’s circular shape represents perfection and never-ending love. The rings are exchanged during the wedding ceremony and symbolize the love, faithfulness and commitment of the marriage union.

The common element in a wedding is the assumption of spousal roles by the primary participants. The wedding is a special moment that marks the beginning of a new life together. Often, it is also a precursor to parenthood, marking the promise of a new family and a new generation. This moment is recognized with traditions, ceremonies and rituals including engagement and wedding ceremonies.

When it comes to planning a wedding, people often honor traditions, even if they do not fully understand their origin or meaning. Every culture cherishes its own wedding traditions and superstitions. Some of those are closely followed even by those who are normally not superstitious.

Common western superstitions include the bride not wearing black or red, the groom not seeing the bride on the day of the wedding before the ceremony, and the throwing of rice as the couple leave the church.

The figure of a bride in white is an important element of the ritual of marriage in western culture. However, new designs of gown are available so brides today may find themselves attracted to designs that do not look traditional. The symbolism behind the wedding dress, however, has not changed.

In recent years, the “Western Style Wedding” (influenced by a Christian church wedding) has become an increasingly popular choice. An entire industry has sprung up, dedicated to providing couples with a ceremony modeled after Protestant church ceremonies.

The purpose of inviting guests was to have them witness a couple’s marriage ceremony and vows and to share in the bride and groom’s joy and celebration. Gifts for the bride and groom are optional, although most guests attempt to give at least a token gift of their best wishes. Some brides and grooms and families feel, contrary to proper etiquette, that for the expense and effort they put into showing their guests a good time and to wine and dine them, the guests should reciprocate by providing nice gifts or cash.

In some Eurpoean cultures it is traditional to pin money on the bride’s dress. The amount of money obtained can be quite staggering, but people forget this money tends to circulate around very close-knit communities.

The couple often registers for gifts at a store well in advance of their wedding. This allows them to create a list of household items, usually including china, silverware and crystalware. More recently electrical goods, including the electric toaster of popular culture, appear on such registers.

With brides and grooms who might already be independent and have lived on their own, even owning their own homes jointly, they sometimes register at hardware or home improvement stores.

Registries are intended to make it easy for guests who wish to purchase gifts to feel comfortable that they are purchasing gifts that the newlyweds will truly appreciate. The registry information should, according to etiquette, be provided only to guests who request it. Some couples register with services that enable money gifts intended to fund items such as a honeymoon, home purchase or education fund.

Some guests may find bridal registries inappropriate. They can be seen as an anathema to traditional notions behind gift buying, such as contravening the belief that “one should be happy for what they receive”, taking away the element of surprise, and leading to present buying as a type of competition, as the couple knows the costs of each individual item. It may also be seen by some as inappropriate to invite people who do not know either the bride or groom well enough to be able to pick out an appropriate gift.

Appealing Irish Collectibles

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

The Passionate and Proud Irish.

Gaelic and Celtic traditions are rooted in the bedrock of Ireland, a country that a very passionate and proud people call home. Probably no other nationality has a stronger sense of their national and cultural heritage than the Irish. And as a result of their deeply ingrained feelings about Ireland and its heritage, the Irish are quite naturally very fond of Irish collectibles.

The Irish and Irish Collectibles Are Everywhere.

Millions of people trace their ancestry to Ireland but live in other parts of the world. Although they live elsewhere, they consider themselves to be Irish. For example, the United States experienced a great wave of Irish immigration during the 19th century, and today, more than 10% of America’s population calls itself “Irish” even though they are native-born Americans. Most Irish-Americans are quite demonstrative about being Irish, and because they are so proud of their heritage, they are fascinated by Irish collectibles.

Almost everyone in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and other parts of the English-speaking world knows several people (if not many more) who lay claim to Irish ancestry. Because they are so passionate about maintaining their traditions, Irish people who live in other countries have retained their cultural identity and have exerted a huge influence on the culture of just about every area where they live.

This strong sense of national pride, of Irish tradition, of Irish culture, makes Irish collectibles extremely appealing to Irish men and women everywhere – those who actually live in Ireland as well as those of Irish descent who live in other countries. Because so many people feel their Irish roots so strongly and maintain very close ties to their national heritage, there is no sign that the popularity of Irish collectibles will abate at any time in the foreseeable future.

Almost everyone wants to own things that are interesting or appealing. And the urge to possess items that in some way relate to Ireland or Irish traditions and culture is at the heart of the popularity of Irish collectibles.

So Many Different Types of Irish Collectibles.

Many different types of Irish collectibles exist, just waiting for collectors to discover them. They include Irish jewelry such as Claddagh rings and other rings that bear crests or coats-of-arms of Irish families. Irish jewelry also includes pendants, cuff links, lapel pins, Celtic crosses and tie pins/tacs that bear a shamrock, a harp or some other symbol of Ireland. Other types of Irish collectibles include various items that were handmade
by Irish cottage crafters, Waterford or Galway Irish crystal, Irish clocks and wall
plaques, leprechaun figurines, and Irish breweriana such as Irish pub signs, pub pitchers,
beer mats and items relating to Guinness Beer.

Irish Collectibles as Tangible Symbols.

The desire to honor and preserve Irish culture and the traditional ways runs deep in the Irish and is characteristic of nearly every Irish person, whether living in Ireland or elsewhere. Owning Irish collectibles is a very visible way for any Irish man or woman to honor those traditions, and a very tangible symbol of pride in being Irish.

Article Marketing Revealed

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Article Marketing is seen as a powerful tool to help advertise your business. This is personally one of my favorite methods of traffic generation. This marketing method will make your name, brand and voice go viral, which means what you write will slowly be spread out on the Internet. Article marketing is the most effective method of increasing traffic without any cost involved. All it requires is regular, fresh and unique article content to achieve this. As a result article marketing is growing rapidly in popularity.

Increased traffic often translates into increased sales. It has become a useful and effective tool for most of the leading internet marketing ventures. If you work at it and continue adding articles consistently, you will eventually receive a sizeable amount of free traffic. If you write unique and interesting articles, article marketing can still help in directing targeted traffic to your site. Writing niche articles will attract quality traffic and increases the subscriptions to your website or newsletter. If you give away or post your articles on your website for free you will help move traffic to your site and ultimately help with sales of your products and services.

There are professional software packages that will submit multiple articles for you to each directory. All you need to do is put your article into the software and let it go to work for you. Article submission software normally comes with a few hundred article directories already installed. It is advised that when you submit articles to the article directories, wait a few days between each submission. If you perform this article marketing and submission process on a regular basis, people will begin to search for your material and trust your work. The software, while being certainly more efficient than manual submission, isn’t completely automated and you apparently still need to do some grunt work to submit your articles to all the different directories.

With the introduction above, I hope you have a brief idea of what article marketing is all about. If article marketing is done properly, your voice, your opinions and your expertise will spread like wildfire across the Internet. The true key is to remain constant and consistent. You will see that article marketing is worth every second and penny invested in it.

10 Things to look for in a Transcription Service

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

1Quality

One of the most common mistakes you can make while choosing a transcription service is to place a very high emphasis on cost and features and relegate quality to the background. If you aren’t lucky this results in an inordinate number of corrections and errors. Often you might need to go through several transcription vendors before you find one who meets your standards. Needless to say this results in a lot of wasted time, effort and money. Look for the following:

Process : Always ensure you pay attention to the processes the transcription vendor follows to achieve quality. Most vendors outline their transcription processes on their websites. Others will be glad to explain if you call and ask them about it.
Accuracy : Enquire about the initial percentage of accuracy of the documents the vendor transcribes. Keep in mind that the average rate of accuracy in the transcription industry is 98.5%. Your transcription vendor should have an idea as to where they stand when compared to this number.
Corrections : A transcription vendor should never charge you for corrections and should have a clear process for handling corrections. If the vendor does not seem to have a clear process for handling corrections then something is amiss.
Patient Name errors : These are the most common errors in transcription. Ensure that the vendor has a clear process for avoiding and correcting such errors in documents.

2 Turnaround Time

A 24 hour Turnaround time suffices for the majority of medical organizations. While several transcription organizations offer shorter turnaround times, they usually come at additional cost.
Caveat: A shorter turnaround time is not necessarily always a better thing. It is more important that the documents you get are of high quality and do not need corrections. Pick a turnaround time that works for you instead of the shortest turnaround time at the lowest price.

3 Reputation & References

No matter how established the transcription vendor seems, asking for references never hurts. A five minute call could save you a lot of effort and heartache in the future. When asking for references, instead of specifying your specialty, explain your dictation speed and accent and ask the vendor if they currently service such clients.
Medical Transcriptionists are trained to understand terminology for every kind of medical specialty. When in doubt, they also use various look-up tools for medical terminology. However there is no substitute for experience with different accents and styles when it comes to comprehension.

4 Contract Terms & Conditions

Gone are the days when you had to sign a term contract of 1-2 years for transcription services. For obvious reasons this is a very fortunate development. However, there are still some transcription companies who offer lower rates in exchange for term contracts. Resist the temptation and look around. You are bound to find a vendor who will offer the same low rates without the burden of a term contract. Avoid locking yourself into an unfortunate future position.

5 Billing Methodology

This is perhaps one of the most confusing aspects of outsourcing medical transcription. The reason is quite simple. There are a variety of billing methodologies used by transcription firms today, making it very difficult to compare costs across different transcription service firms. Some charge by the line while defining a line as a fixed number of characters or keystrokes. This is the most popular method and is also recommended by AAMT (Now AHDI – Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity). A line based method where a line is defined as a fixed number of characters is perhaps the best method considering that such line counts can be verified using simple Microsoft Word statistics.
A number of transcription vendors also charge you based on the number of physical lines in a document and some vendors charge by the number of words in a document.
If a transcription vendor charges by the number of physical lines in a document, it is recommended you avoid such a service. While verifiable, the cost with such a service is almost always much more than what other transcription firms would charge, and is not apparent until you receive your first few bills. The higher cost is because of blank lines and lines with a word or two, which are also charged at the full rate. Additionally because of the font sizes used and formatting changes, the cost of a document becomes very variable.

6 Electronic Records and compatibility

Most medical organizations at some point would like to (and should) make the transition to electronic records because of the vast number of benefits a good electronic records system offers. While many are considering such a shift, there are few that have already made it.
If you have not yet implemented an electronic records system, plan ahead. You do not want to be stuck with hundreds of thousands of documents, that will need conversion a few years down the line.
Ensure that the documents delivered to you are in an electronic format. MS Word and RTF format documents are the most popular and hence possibly will have the best support in Electronic Records systems. Some vendors also support additional services like making the documents compatible with your electronic records system or uploading documents directly into your electronic records system.

7 Online Medical Transcription & Document Management Tools

One of the best developments in medical transcription in the last few years is the advent of online medical transcription and associated document management systems. These online document management systems come with a variety of features that simplify your day to day tasks by providing you features to search and pull up your documents in a fraction of the time it took earlier. Ensure that your medical transcription provider supports provides such a system. Request for a demo account and take it for a test drive.

8 Hidden Costs

Hidden costs are just that – hidden. Here are a few common ones you can check for:

Line Definitions : Be sure to find out what exactly constitutes a line as defined by the medical transcription service provider. A line should be defined as 50 to 65 characters or keystrokes(including spaces). This is the industry norm for a line definition. Avoid physical line based billing methodologies. Even blank lines and lines with a single word will be charged.
Minimum volume contracts : Avoid transcription contracts that specify a minimum number of billable lines per month. If you don’t use the transcription service in a given billing cycle, you will still end up paying for services you didn’t use.
Additional charges for corrections : Most reputable medical transcription service firms offer corrections free of charge. Ensure that there are no charges for these.

9 Optional Services

Some optional services you might need, and your medical transcription service should support:

Setup & Delivery customizations : If you are a multiple location organization or would like to provide physicians and dictating personnel direct access to the online system, your Medical Transcription service should be able to customize your services, to accommodate these requirements
EMR specific customizations : Your transcription service should support document and delivery customizations in the event you require this.
Automated Faxes to Recipients : Documents are faxed to recipients marked at the time of dictation, immediately upon completion of transcription. This requirement depends on the habits of your physicians and the urgency of your daily reports. Some medical organizations might never need this feature.

10 Dictation by Exception (Templates & Macros)

Dictation by exception is a process in which documents are based on templates and modifications are made in the appropriate areas to complete a document. These templates already contain all the ‘normals’ and the person dictating just needs to dictate exceptions and changes to the template to create a report.
This method of dictation saves considerable amount of time for physicians and dictating staff. However usage of such templates and macros is a personal preference.
The medical transcription service you choose should be able to provide this feature, in the event you do need it.

We hope you found this article useful. If you have any suggestions or updates to this article, please visit our website Online medical transcription and do write to us using the ‘Contact Us’ section of this website. Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful day!

How to Leave your Dog Home Alone

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Are you travelling this summer? Have you come home to petsitting disasters? If so, you are in good company!

Most dog parents do not have quality dog care they can count on. In research that Canine Kingdom has conducted, we have found that a whopping 9 out of 10 dog parents are concerned about the care their dog family receives when they are away. Unfortunately, they are right to be concerned. Many dog parents return to sick or emotionally distraught canines…or even worse, no dog family at all. In most cases, dogs are lost either when guests are visiting or when they are watched by a caregiver.

What you can do now to keep your dog safe

Creating a Better Life for the Home Alone Dog, an important ebook for dog parents

There are so many ways to ensure – that your dog is kept busy, stimulated and happy every day – that your caregiver emulates your care, and knows how to avoid escapes…all necessary steps that prevent your dog from getting lost. Our ebook, Creating a Better Life for the Home Alone Dog, provides an easy step by step guide for managing pet sitters and avoiding disasters.

Breakthrough product to prevent and recover lost dogs!

Have one of your friends, relatives, or hired help ever left the gate open ? Do you need insurance to make sure you don’t ever lose your dog? Now, with the aid of breakthrough satellite location technology, you can prevent and quickly recover dogs that do go missing.

RoamEO, a breakthrough product in satellite technology for dogs, is an effective tool for dogs that have or can get away from you.

How it works:
Like other GPS tracking devices, RoamEO utilizes signals from the Satellite network to locate where your dog is. However, it is the only GPS tracking product on the market that does not use cell towers. This is important, as the signal from cell towers can have long delays and ‘dead areas’- which could mean life or death for your dog.

The chances that your dog will go missing are increased if these situations exist with your dog family:

New to your home

New to you

In the care of a dog walker/petsitter

You have visitors of any type

Learning/does not know ‘Come!’

Learning how to walk on leash/tug/pull hard on leash

Wanders/ Jumps fences

Dashes out the front door

Dashes out the car door

Critter chaser

Canine Kingdom Awards the RoamEO the Canine Kingdom Seal of Approval, and the Dog Safety Product of the Year for the following reasons:

1. Works Real Time:

RoamEO sends a signal every 3 SECONDS. Most ‘pet trackers’ work with a GPS/Cellular network, that sends a signal every 3 MINUTES at best or even in a day or two at worst – depending on your cell service. In addition, you need to call every time you want an update on where your pet is headed.

This could be the difference between life and death. We could stop right there, but there’s more.

Making Money Online Requires Skills -Not Dreams

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Who doesn’t want to live a luxurious life style, have all their dreams come true, and receive a six figure income by only working two hours a week. You do, and it’s only a mouse click away, or at lease that‘s what the sales page said.

Well, before you click that mouse, let me give you something to think about. I heard this from a professional internet marketer named Michael Andrews. He said, “ Chase after the skills and the money will follow. Chase after the money and you’ll become frustrated and give up by tomorrow.”

Now, stop and think about what that sales page promise you. Exactly how are you going to make the money you’ve always dreamed of ? Did it promises you big money, if you buy their magic formula of success, and only if you hurry and buy it today. Did the sells page tell you what market the magic formula works best in? Did it tell you how to find that market? Or did it say, you’ll be one of the lucky few who has this magic money maker that everyone wants, and of course they will find you, with credit card it hand.

Well, if you still want to click on that buy it now button, which will make all your dreams come true, make sure somewhere on that sales page there is a money back guarantee.

I truly believe there will be a special place in hell for internet copy writers who only sell the dream. But such is life, they are only feeding upon the chasers of dreams who don’t want to acquire any skills to make their dreams come true.

There are thousands of ways to make money online, but you need to find the market for what you have to sell. The myth of , “if you only build a site and have that special offer, they will come,” that‘s all it is, a myth. This is one of the biggest problems with the major of internet money making formulas, they don’t teach any skills that are applicable to an ever changing market place.

The holy grail to success online is a three step process, find a viable market, attract customers to that market and influencing them into buying what you have to sell. That is it, it works ever time.

There are hundreds of places to find people who can teach you the skills you need to succeed online. Be it, through online training forums, paid membership sites or even through the use of e-books, provided they are followed up with some form of after purchase mentoring or training.

The measure of your success online will be determined by the skills you’ve acquired through the learning method you have selected. You should have walk away skills that you can apply to any viable market you should decide to enter.

So, always remember this, “Chase the skills and your dreams, will come true.”

Family Crests Might Not Be What You Think They Are

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Family crests are not what you might think. The term “family crest” is sometimes used interchangeably with the heraldic terms “coat-of-arms” or “family shield,” but a family crest is actually only one portion of the heraldic display known as a coat-of-arms. The crest is usually the uppermost design element in a coat-of-arms, standing on top of an armor helmet depicted in the coat-of-arms. It is analogous to the crest on top of the heads of some birds.

Design Elements in Family Crests.

Different animals and other graphic representations may be used in the design of family crests. A hand or arm holding a weapon, a lion, horse or dragon, or the wings of an eagle or another bird are often seen.

A wreath (torse) in the family liveries (the principal colors of the family shield) usually surrounds the crest. In family crests of nobles such as princes, dukes or earls, a coronet often takes the place of the torse or sits on top of the torse.

Historical Underpinnings of Family Crests.

Heraldic coats-of-arms and family crests originated in Europe’s early Middle Ages, and they came into popular use during the feudal period. Medieval knights used their crests and coats-of-arms to quickly and easily identify themselves to friends and foes during tournaments and battles. For example, a knight’s shield and helmet were usually painted with colorful, vivid design elements from his coat-of-arms, oftentimes the family crest. A similar system – but with different graphics – evolved and came into use in feudal Japan.

Other than reigning Queens, women are generally not entitled to bear or use family crests, and neither are members of the clergy. These exclusions are an historical artifact that arose because women and clergymen did not fight in battle or participate in medieval tournaments, and accordingly they would not have had a helmet on which to display a family crest. Because the stylized representations which we now think of as being family crests originated as displays on top of actual armored helmets, there was no mechanism to ever create a family crest for a woman or clergyman.

Family Crests Today.

By law, in several countries, only certain specific people (“armigers”) are technically entitled to bear or use family crests and coats-of-arms, even today. But family crests are such attractive designs that they have become popular as wall displays and as part of the design of some jewelry. Like coats-of-arms,
heraldic family crests relate to a specific historical individual or family name, and sometimes they symbolically portray that individual’s deeds or events that occurred during the family history. Typically, very specific symbolic devices, colors and patterns are combined to create a heraldic family crest, and each of these components tells part of the story of the person or family that the crest belongs to. They are, however, typically highly stylized and it is sometimes very difficult to accurately decipher the symbolism used in a family crest. But even when the meaning of a family crest has long
been lost in the mists of time, it is a beautiful, highly decorative design that evokes
the magic of the Middle Ages and links us to a noble past.

Britney Spears Branding

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

How would you like to sell as much in one year as Britney sells in one day or in one hour? Have you put much thought into how marketing empires are created? If you’re selling anything then you’re a marketer and you should study the biggest successes to follow in their footsteps.
We’ve all heard of branding, but do you do it? Have you branded yourself? If you have, are you expanding your marketing opportunities with your brand?
Once you’ve created a name, built successful marketing campaigns and gotten people to know and like who you and your company are don’t stop there.
The real money is in building multiple streams of income. Once your brand begins to build you can diversify to create your own franchise. Think Star Wars, Harry Potter, the books for “Dummies.” You don’t have to be a celebrity or an acclaimed author to cash in, but we can definitely learn from them.
Here are some examples:
Britney Spears makes money on CD’s, concert sales, posters, books, movie appearances, TV appearances, videos, Pepsi commercials and other endorsements.
Paul Newman makes money on movies, and makes money for charity on salad dressing, pasta sauce, popcorn, salsa, lemonade, steak sauce, cook books, T-shirts, hats, and sweatshirts.
Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield (The “Chicken Soup For The (fill in a lucrative target market here) Soul” authors make money on a series of books and tapes so large and profitable that they have their own book rack at Barnes and Noble stores everywhere. There are over 35 titles and 53 million copies in print in over 32 languages. What if they would have stopped with the first title and not bothered to expand the money making potential of their brand?
Talk about branding! …and they get other people to send them stories for free so they don’t even write the books. Beyond this, they make money from other books and tapes, public speaking, joint ventures, and seminars.
Robert Keepsake (author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad) makes money from books, tapes, board games, public speaking, seminars, an affiliate program, game events, teleconferences and real estate.
There are limitless possibilities of where you can go in expanding or capitalizing on your brand. Mark and Jack have used their “Chicken Soup” fame to sell unrelated products that are also directed at helping people live the lives of their dreams. Paul Newman is using his fame as an actor to sell food and sauces that have nothing to do with the movies he’s been in.
So don’t limit yourself. As your success builds over time continue to write down new and bigger goals. Imagine what you would do and what products you would create if you were already famous in your field. What would you sell? How would you market? How would you expand your empire?
You are a brand and so is your company. Even before you had a business everyone you came into contact with had an idea of who you were (your brand) because of how you presented yourself. Now it’s time to be aware of the brand your building and make the most of it.
Hey, we can’t all be Britney, but we’re missing the boat if we don’t learn from watching her cash in.

History of Family Crest Rings

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Family Crest Rings have a very long history:

Jewelry has been used by men and women for wealth storage and for personal adornment for tens of thousands of years. Heraldic jewelry, such as the family crest ring, has roots squarely grounded hundreds of years ago, in the Middle Ages. In those long-ago times, several specific types of heraldic jewelry were designed for practical reasons as well as for their beauty. A prime example is the family crest ring.

During the Middle Ages, family crest rings were beautiful pieces of jewelry that were used by members of the nobility to identify themselves as lords of the manor. Family crest rings can still be used to signify family membership, although now they are also used as a decorative fashion accessory.

Designs Used in Family Crest Rings:

The surface of the top of a family crest ring is engraved with a graphic, heraldic device called a family crest. Some people use the term “family crest” interchangeably with the heraldic terms “coat-of-arms” or “family shield.” But technically, a family crest is only one component in the design of a coat-of -arms, usually the uppermost portion that stands on top of an armor helmet that is depicted in the coat-of-arms. The stylized
representations which we now think of as being family crests originated as displays sitting atop actual armored helmets worn by knights during Medieval battles and
tournaments.

A variety of patterns, colors and devices may be used in family crests, with some of the more common devices being a hand or arm holding a weapon, a lion, a horse, a dragon, or an eagle’s or other bird’s wings. Each of the components of a family crest has a specific meaning, and together they tell a story about the progenitor of that family and his deeds. No matter which elements are used in the design of family crests, they are always symbolic, stylistic and stunning.

Family Crest Rings Can Be Useful As Well As Beautiful:

Although the need to identify themselves by wearing family crest rings has long past, many individuals even today wear family crest rings as a means of symbolically linking to their family history and heritage. In countries where the noble class still exists, family crest rings can also be a status symbol – they serve as an instant identifier of the wearer’s level in society. Even today, a fine family crest ring is a uniquely appropriate gift
for a man or woman of high accomplishment or high social status.

Family crest rings are often made of precious metals such as gold, silver or platinum. The arresting appearance of high-quality pieces, with their intricately engraved detail, captivates anyone who sees one. Their visual appeal can be enhanced even more if they are enameled with vivid colors or set with precious gemstones.

Family crest rings have become extremely popular because of their attractive designs and the family history that they signify. The pageantry and the magnificence of the Medieval world are quickly brought to mind by these beautiful rings with their highly stylized, intricate designs.

History and heritage, perfectly and beautifully symbolized by family crest rings.

Joint Ventures in Real Estate

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

<!– @page { size: 21cm 29.7cm; margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } A:link { color: #0000ff } –>

How many times have you heard the story about the guy who just lost his job, had no money, and his credit history was shot? Yet somehow he made fortunes by investing in real estate. Believe it or not this can happen. Many success stories happen because of join ventures in real estate.

The concept is not new. It is simply a matter of using someone else’s money for profit. There are many people who are very interested in becoming real estate investors; however they do not know the first thing about the real estate market. This is where someone like the guy mentioned above can profit.

If you have a keen sense of real estate and finance and know what would make a good investment, but have no cash flow, then you are a good candidate for a joint venture in real estate. Your knowledge and someone else’s money can generate a profitable venture for both of you. It just takes some know how to get it all done.

There are many people who are willing to use their credit or finances to gain a profit in the real estate investment world. You will need to find these people, either by soliciting in the local papers, on the Internet, or by forming a local real estate investment group. This type of group is beneficial to everyone involved.

There are times when an investor has done nothing but buy and flip properties. He or she knows nothing about renting the properties. The typical investor also usually has one niche he or she sticks with. Someone who buys strictly commercial properties may know nothing about residential and vice versa. By forming a real estate investment group in your area, this knowledge from all the investors in the group can be shared.

This can also work to your advantage should you come across a property you may want to invest in but lack the information that comes with the type of property. There may be another investor in the group who will want to form a joint venture with you in order to take advantage of the deal. Many times there may be two or three investors who are willing to make the deal happen. This is also a great way to break into commercial investing. The more investors there are on a project the less out of pocket expense each one has. You may also find the odds slightly more in your favor with the lenders when you have a team of investors who want to purchase a large commercial property together as a joint venture.

Joint ventures in real estate can offer you the ability to obtain properties you once thought were not in your budget. You can gain knowledge from seasoned investors or you can profit from a new investor who is willing to back you financially in a real estate deal. The list is endless when it comes to the benefits of joint ventures in real estate. By forming the real estate investment group in your area, you can open a whole new world of real estate investing.

Choosing the Right Camping Site

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

You probably have a good idea of what is the right camping site for you. Perhaps you would like to go camping in the mountains or maybe in a forest. Regardless of the camping site chosen, it is vitally important to research the area beforehand. This information can make the difference between having a wonderful camping trip and having one filled with “unexpected surprises.” Some things to keep in mind in your research of a camping site should include:

1. Time of The Year: Is this the best season to camp in this area? If not, what other precautions must I take into consideration? Will I need to update my camping equipment to accommodate colder conditions? Do the wildlife pose a risk to me during this time of year? Is this area susceptible to certain natural disasters during this time, such as flooding or tornados? If so, how can I plan to reduce their impact on my camping trip?

2. Attraction or View: Does this camping site have interesting wildlife or a unique view? Will the time of year I am going adequately showcase these attractions?

3. Any Man-Made Distractions: Modern construction is a wonderful thing which allows our cities and towns to grow with progress. Unfortunately, while camping most would prefer to avoid these distractions. Do yourself a favor and check with people in the area to ensure there will be no planned road development or other major construction projects during the time you are camping. This will save you some aggravation and ensure you are camping at time when you can enjoy nature the most.

4. Road Access: Do you have a road within a ½ mile of your camping site? If not, can I make do with limited camping equipment? If weather gets bad and I need to evacuate, do I have a four wheel vehicle or will I need to be able turn back at the first sign of bad weather?

5. Water Source Access: Will I need to bring in water or do I have a nearby clean water source? If I do have a water source, what water purification steps will I need to take and what equipment will I need?

6. Terrain: Does my current camping equipment meet my needs in this area or do I need to make some additional purchases?

7. Access to Neighboring Town: If needed, is there a town or store nearby where you can get additional supplies? No matter how well you plan there will always be something you forget. Knowing you can get pick up these supplies nearby will set your mind at ease and keep you camping instead of having to cancel the trip prematurely.

8. Access to Emergency Help: If needed, is their a hospital nearby where you can go for emergency help. Also, will your emergency cell phone work in that area. It is a very good idea to know if the phone will work prior to having to actual use it. Be sure to go to the area and test it. If an emergency does come your way, you will be glad you did.

By applying these tips, you should be able to find a quality camping site that meets your camping needs in terms of safety and satisfaction. With a little pre-planning you should be on your way to having your next adventure. Good luck and don’t forget your map and compass.

Baseball Strategy Tip for Developing A Solid Pitching Rotation

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Everyone enjoys the excitement of the homerun; however, pitching tends to play a larger role in the importance of a winning Baseball Strategy. Let’s use high school baseball as an example. For most high school teams, there are usually only one or two good pitchers on each team. One of the differences between good and great high school teams is how they develop the rest of their pitching staff.

To win at the high school level in the playoffs and beyond, a high school team should develop a rotation of 4 to 6 pitchers. There are several reasons for this Baseball Strategy:

1. Top pitchers will then get the opportunity to rest their arms during the season.

2. It provides an opportunity for younger pitchers to develop their skills for future seasons.

3. The coach has a number of options to choose from for certain game situations. (For example, have a left hander throw to a left handed batter).

4. May be able to use your top pitchers in other roles. This can be especially helpful if they are a very good hitter as it adds a strong bat to your lineup.

5. Allows you some additional protection if you lose one of your pitchers to grades or an injury.

Traditionally, pitchers on high school baseball teams tend to be those who throw the hardest and or have done it for a number of years. However, a smart high school coach should be scouting his team every year to look for players who could be turned into pitchers. Some of the skills a coach should look for in a prospective pitcher include:

· Left-handed or a unique throwing motion (ex. sidearm delivery).

· Strong arm (Fastball is above 80 mph).

· Excellent control of throws regardless of fastball speed.

· Natural movement on fastball.

· Ability to throw a unique pitch (ex. knuckleball).

Once these players are discovered, the coach should have them begin practicing pitching at every practice. Over time, their skills would improve to the point where you could use them in game situations. Then, your baseball strategy could shift from relying on your two top pitchers to letting these prospects start pitching against weaker teams in your district or allowing them to pitch a few innings in certain games.

To help encourage players to want to be a pitcher, the coach should give extra praise to those who are participating and repeat the importance that pitching has on helping the team go far in the playoffs. In addition, a wise coach would recommend these players take additional pitching instruction from quality baseball instructors in the area. With a little encouragement, you can outsource some of this training. This will allow for these players to keep developing their skills and not take away from the team’s overall practice time.

The benefits of developing a pitching staff over time should allow for your high school team to move from a good to a great program. Also, who knows, you just might stumble upon the next great ace pitcher.

Baseball Equipment Starts with a Good Baseball Bat

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

When it comes to a Baseball Bat, not any old equipment will do. You know this if you have ever been practicing using an unfamiliar bat. Besides adversely affecting your game, using a poor bat can cause a number of aches and pains long after you have used them. Also, if you are concentrating on making up for the poor fit of a baseball bat; then, you probably aren’t going to be able to play at your best.

The good news is you don’t necessarily have to spend a lot of cash on the most expensive baseball bat to get good one. Instead of going with the most expensive baseball bat possible, you can probably find what you are looking for at most sporting goods stores. But there are some things to consider.

Let’s start with the length of the bat. Though the length of the baseball bat is important, it’s not all you need to consider. Professionals say that you should also take into account the weight of the bat and how it feels in your hands. This will vary for different people. Some people prefer the lightest bat that they can find whereas there are some like Babe Ruth who used to swing a bat weighing anywhere from 40 to 55 ounces.

Regardless of the weight, a proper baseball bat should be tailored so the way you swing the bat is considered. If the bat feels more natural than others while you swing it, you are on the right track.

Some other tips to take into consideration are:

  1. Tapering of the batting handle at the end of the bat. If the handle rubs up against the bottom of your hand, it would be wise to choose another bat. Over time, this minor irritation will impact your batting swing and focus.
  2. Choose a bat with a large sweet spot. A large number of aluminum bats now offer good-sized sweet spots. We recommend purchasing a bat with such a sweet spot as it will give you a little extra help in games. Although in practice, we recommend using a bat with a smaller sweet spot to train you into hitting the ball with the right spot on the bat.
  3. Avoid any bats with concave ends. Bats with concave ends end up depriving you of a few extra base hits a season because eventually you will hit the ball a few times off the end of the bat. With a concave-ended bat, the ball will trail off and make an easy out. However, with a convex-ended or round-ended bat, the ball will more strongly careen of the end of the bat. This should lead to a few more of these hits leaving the infield and resulting in a “Texas leaguer”, “ground ball with eyes”, or a “dying quail” instead of an easy out.
  4. Ensure the Bat End is Secure: Double check to make sure the end of the bat is securely tied to the barrel of the bat. There are a number of aluminum bats out there that will have the bat head easily come off. Do yourself a favor and pick a bat that has a strongly secured bat end from the start. One way of checking this is to see if any of the bat end material is already coming apart or showing some uneven separation from the barrel end.

There are a wide variety of different types of baseball bats and companies to choose from. Choose the bat that feels the most comfortable to you regardless of price. Also, once you settle on a baseball bat, strongly consider purchasing a second identical one. If you do so, you can use one bat in practice and one in the games. This will ensure that you have a “live” bat for the games that is not deadened by too much batting practice.

Buying private label rights gives you the entire resell rights of the product and the master resell rights.

This means that you can change the product however you want; you can even put your name on the product and claim that it was your own, that you are the sole owner and creator of the product.

It is important when you purchase a private label right product that you get the products master document along with it.

This is the document that states the type of rights the product has and what you can and cannot do with the product.

Private label right products cost a little bit more than any of the other resell right products, but it is well worth it in the end, because it basically turns into your own product.

Find Cheap And The Best Family Vacation Deal

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

To plan a good family vacation is no mean task. The budget part has to be clearly worked out in advance so as to avoid disappointment later.

To avoid unexpected financial shocks on your vacation trip, make a plan for different categories within the budget. The main categories could well be the following:

Cost of Lodging

Lodging costs are quite flexible costs, as regards the budget. The places where you plan to put up during the vacation can vary – a spare bedroom at a friend’s home, a tent, a hotel, or a five star resort. You should try to avoid making the lodging cost too expensive, unless your accommodation is a part of your travel expense, say, on a cruise. Whatever the case, your budget should make provision for the overnight lodging costs of the nights you may stay on your way to your destination to benidormapartmentrental.co.uk.

Transport Costs

Your destination determines your cost involved in transport. It is obviously not possible for you to drive across the entire country for vacation; neither can you take a bus from one country to another. Several transportation options are available to you, depending on your budget finding at benidormapartmentsrent.co.uk. A train or a cruise ship is an adventurous option as vacation transport, from start to finish, and promise a lot of excitement off-board too.

Costs of Meals

In case your vacation expense is a ‘restricted’ budget, plan to prepare your own meals in your hotel room. Pack your own snacks and use them as a practical substitute for expensive meals in a hotel and find complete listings at barcelonaapartmentsrent.co.uk, or look for a less expensive eating joint near the hotel. However, if the region you visit is known for a cuisine, make provision in your budget to take a dig at it.

Entertainment Costs

Entertainment costs take the chunk of your vacation expenses – in fact your entire trip revolves around these costs. Make enough allowance for these expenses if you plan to visit a place like California, with several theme parks that add the ‘pleasure’ element to your trip. Balance out the major entertainment expenses with several other-low cost activities like spending a day at the beach, so that you don’t over-spend.

Pet Care Expenses

The vacation plan of a pet owner can differ from others, as provision needs to be made for the care of their pet. Two options available to a pet owner are – plan for pet expenses on your trip or plan to have someone to look after your pet in tour absence at vacationhawaiihotels.com/big-island-vacations/. To make adjustments for your pet on the trip, choose lodging – like a tent or a camping trailer – in which pets can be easily accommodated.

In case you plan to leave your pet at home, find one person or family that can look after your home – your pet and your yard included.

Insurance Costs

Before you plan out a vacation that involves the use of your own car, ensure that the car insurance is done, and holds good at the place you have selected to go to. To cover unexpected emergencies during the trip, consider purchasing travel insurance; and if you are traveling out of the country, a medical insurance policy would be ideal.
