Maybe you’re still wondering if you should get into the eBook resale right business. Is it worth your time, effort, and money? Well, it doesn’t take much money, so you can scratch that off, but it does take time and effort. There is a way, however, to reduce the time it takes to start making money.

Please don’t get me wrong though; many people make lots from selling private label rights online, but many also fail. • Credibility – by selling the private label eBook resale right, you are also advertising the author/creator, who usually has good credibility on the internet. Be sure to do your research beforehand. Credibility plus traffic equals sales!

• Easy to manipulate and sell, using the author’s trustworthy name. Creating traffic to support sales is a different story.

Disadvantages:

• Contract – always, always read your contract. It varies with different authors, so read the fine print before purchasing on the internet. Sometimes authors stipulate advertising restrictions, price restrictions, etc, that bind and trap you into a product not worth selling.

• Doesn’t work for everyone – you have to first, choose a current eBook/software from a trusted creator. It should be somewhat current and should not be promoted everywhere on the internet. This is the result of way too many marketers for the same product; it dilutes the value.

• Can’t rebrand to reflect yourself and your personality, like a Full Master Resale Right can. Sometimes it’s better to pay more for a product that will produce more in the long run!

Private Label Content is becoming increasingly popular as people join the rush to fill their websites with high-quality information. Admittedly, you can have articles written by freelance writers at sites like Elance or Rentacoder, but it gets expensive. For those who are not yet generating a high income through AdSense or affiliate sales, Private Label Content (PLC) provides a welcome alternative.

=== What is Private Label Content? ===

PLC generally refers to articles, e-books and manuals that are free for subscribers to use as they wish. There are a few restrictions, however: you cannot claim copyright to PLC, or submit it to article sites, unless you change the content significantly. (Interpret ’significantly’ as ‘unrecognizable as the original article’.) The cost of membership varies, but typically ranges from around $24 to $67 a month. For this you might receive anywhere from 150 to 300 articles per month. Some sites also offer graphics (e-book covers and site header graphics) and even ready-made sales letters.

To use PLC to the best advantage, you need to be aware of a few things.

=== 1. How Can You Use PLC Articles? ===

The most common use for PLC articles is to provide useful, interesting content for websites. There are other uses, however. Think about your immediate needs. If you require an incentive for people to sign up for your newsletter, you can offer an e-book or training manual made up from PLC articles. It’s easy to tweak these to be more relevant to your website and your clients. (As well as putting yourself in Google’s shoes, put yourself in your clients’ shoes. What do they most need to know?)

You could also create an e-course (anything from 6 to 52 articles – a short e-course, or one that offers an article for each week of the year). This gives you an excellent reason to stay in touch with your clients.

=== 2. How Can You Alter PLC Articles? ===

Submitting articles to public article directories along with your resource box is a great way to generate traffic to your web-sites. However, many directories don’t allow you to submit duplicate content – ie, you have to submit your own unique article. Therefore, when submitting an article that you obtained from a private label content resource, it’s advisable to first alter the article before submission. Here are a few tips in that regard…

(a) Change the title of the article. If you are using keyword-optimized articles, make sure you keep the keyword in the title – but be creative about the words that surround it. So if your article is based on the keyword “Mongolian Guinea Pig”, your title might be “Where to Find the Mongolian Guinea Pig” or “Taking Care of Your Mongolian Guinea Pig” and so on.

(b) Change the opening paragraph. All you need to do (usually) is make sure that your keyword appears once. Take a look at the rest of the paragraph. How can you say the same thing in a different way? Look for synonyms – using your thesaurus – or alter the tone. Perhaps you can adopt a more casual approach (this might work better for your readership anyway). You might prefer write a different introduction altogether.

(c) Work through the article. Add a sentence here; subtract one there. Present the facts in a different order. Expand by adding some new points. Break a long article into two shorter articles. (If you do this, make sure each article seems complete in itself.)

(d) Rewrite the ending. When you do this, think about what you want the reader to do. Is this a good place to put your own affiliate link, or write a lead-in to your own product or services?

=== 3. Blend Several Articles Into One ===

You can get a whole new look if you take two or more PLC articles on the same theme and blend them into one longer, fact-packed article. Sometimes you might find you HAVE to do this, if an article seems a bit ‘lightweight’. Not all PLC articles are created equal! Sometimes it’s obvious that the writer was low on inspiration.

=== 4. Think Outside the Square. ===

Most PLC articles are presented in batches relevant to one niche. For example, you might find that over the course of a month you get 20 articles on golf, 20 on cell phones, 20 on credit cards and 20 on travel. Let’s say that you are busy building a golf site. It might seem at first glance that only 20 of the 80 articles are relevant to your needs.

Not so! Golf vacations, for example, are very popular. Could any of your travel articles be massaged to fit the theme of golf vacations? It’s very likely that they could. And what about communication while you travel – or while you play golf? Does the golfer need a new cell phone that will easily adapt to overseas communications? How will the golfer pay for a new set of clubs or a golf vacation? Might he need to explore credit card options?

You see how it’s done. Be creative in your use of Private Label Content, and you will definitely get your money’s worth.

=== 5. One Final Tip – Hold Out For Quality! ===

Now that Private Label Content is becoming popular, more and more PLC sites are opening up. You can afford to be choosy. Check out the quality of the articles on offer, and especially the niches being targeted. Niche areas like golf and credit are popular, and that’s exactly what you want. You want to go where there is an *existing* demand. You do NOT want obscure niches where there is little activity. You WANT to go where there is competition. Naturally, the profitable niches will always have competition. Where there is competition, there are buyers! So you want to look for demand, look for competition, and carve your niche!

Although each PLC site offers articles you need to research and see what unique benefits they offer and what best suits you.

For example if you enjoy writing articles you can use a site like goround.com since they will credit you a full month’s membership for each article you write and is approved.

On the other hand if you just want to be building niche sites mainly for adsense type income a site such as Joel Osbournes’.Ready-Made-Content.com maybe a better fit.

Finally, consider being a member of more than one PLC site. Is it worth it to you to spend $150 a month on quality, no-strings-attached content? That would get you membership of 3-4 sites and upwards of 400 articles each month. Even if you can use only 50 of those articles, you’re getting them for $3 each – a bargain!

What is the power of Ebook Reprint Rights

I wrote my latest e-book “The Seven Fatal Mistakes That Almost Every Business Owner Makes on Their Web Site” as a lead-generation tool to get new subscribers to my e-zine.

I decided to promote it a different way. It’s different from anything I’ve ever done before, and it brought spectacular results after just three weeks, and continues to bring in new subscribers daily.

First, as I’ve mentioned already, I’m using the e-book as an incentive for people to join my mailing list. An e-book or special report is an excellent incentive, because it’s low cost but high value.

If you read the e-book, you’ll also see that it promotes the products and services that I offer. It’s not ONLY about self-promotion (I use the 80/20 guideline: Give 80% value, and 20% self-promotion), but it does promote me.

But here’s the kicker …

The most important thing I’ve done differently with this e-book is this:

The e-book is not just free – it’s BETTER than free.

— Huh? How can that be (I hear you cry)? —

Because it also comes with reprint rights.

This means that you can copy the e-book yourself and give it away, or even sell it. Yep, that’s right – I’m giving it away, AND I’m giving you the right to copy it and use it yourself.

This might seem a bit odd at first – after all, aren’t I giving away my intellectual property?

Yes and no.

I see it as a win-win proposition.

You win because you get a high-value product that you can use yourself. For example, there’s nothing stopping you from offering my e-book as an incentive for people to sign up to your newsletter. Or you could offer it as a bonus for people who order something else by a certain date. Or you could even sell it yourself and make money from it.

On the other hand, I still own the copyright on it, and one of the conditions of giving it away is that you have to give it away in its current form. So whoever gets a copy still sees all the links to my products and my Web site.

That’s exactly why it’s a win for me as well. By allowing YOU to distribute it freely, I can reach markets that would otherwise be outside my own circle.

In fact, in the first three weeks after giving it away, my newsletter subscription rate trebled!

Giving away your material can be a powerful marketing strategy. Most people hold on tight to their intellectual property, scared that it might be stolen by others, especially in a digital world where copying is so easy to do. But there are real advantages to taking the opposite approach and giving your stuff away. As long as you do it with a clear purpose in mind, and you make it a win-win proposition for both you and the other person, it can really work to your advantage.

Guys like Mike Fulsome, Jeff Johnson, Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon at Stomper net, and Michael Rasmussen regularly give away more quality free stuff from their sites than you could get buying dozens of $97 eBooks on the same topics.

They do this to 1.) Get your name on their mailing list, and 2.) Provide you with good quality material to build a relationship (this is a key) with you and make you a believer in the value of their expertise. If you aren’t familiar with the guys I mentioned above you need to Google them up and learn from them. Read every word they write and subscribe to their newsletters and mini-courses. They are the very best in the business!

Method 2: Right now you are reading a free article and you are getting some good tips. But here is the thing: Many of the big boys in the eBook publishing business regularly submit articles to directories to increase their brand awareness and products to tons of readers.

I would suggest going back and searching for old articles written by publishers of eBooks similar to yours. Often their very best articles are the very first ones they wrote. In their early articles these authors try very hard to provide valuable information and convince you that they are an expert in their field. As time goes by they often write articles with a little less meat in them, so I always advice searching for their very earliest articles to read. You will not be disappointed!

Just about all of the contextual advertising services and many other types of services use JavaScript to include their ads on your website. This is great because it’s easy to put the code on your website, have ads running and then forget about it. But what about those users who have JavaScript turned off?  Many people usually do that, so that their Internet pages can download faster and no ads are displayed.
Well first of all they won’t see anything. Your content that is below it will just move into the space and you won’t get credit for the adview or the chance to have a click or sale from that user. Analysis of my last 1 million unique visitors shows that 7.5% of them have JavaScript turned off.

7.5% of 1 million is 75,000 unique visitors! That’s 75,000 people who would be viewing the site without any ads and without me having a chance to monetize their visit in any way!

So, how can you solve this issue?

Well thankfully browsers have built into them an alternative tag for JavaScript and it’s called the *noscript* tag. This tag has been around forever and is nothing new. It also doesn’t modify existing JavaScript on your page and therefore can be implemented without violating any of the Terms of Service from Google, Yahoo, Chitika or any other services.

So how can you implement this into your page so that something will show where your ads normally do and what can you put there?

You can use any type of affiliate marketing or commission systems out there. The simplest is to place some Amazon books or products in the noscript code. You can see an example of how I did this with some code and some images of a website with Javascript turned on and off at:
Here’s how you implement it. Using Google AdSense as an example, you place their code that they give you on your website. Then just below that you place a noscript set of tags. Inside those tags you place what you want to appear if the end user doesn’t have it Javascript turned on. I have included some books from Amazon in a simple table, but you can always put text links or other forms of advertising there.

You can include whatever you’d like in place of what appears. It doesn’t need to conform to the same size or width of the Google ad, so if you just want a 120×20 button or some text there that’s fine.

Hypnosis enables deeper concentration and activation levels while studying and the ability for recall.

4) Study for regular periods of time. The brain retains more when we learn in small manageable amounts. So study for 20–30 minutes, then take a 10 minute break. Then another 20–30 minutes, then take a 10 minute break.

5) Your place of study, should, of course, be quiet with no outside distractions.

6) Finally, understand the power of your subconscious mind to retain information and use it! Learn how to go into an altered state to maximize your study habits and become efficient and effective with your study time.

Today, more than ever before authors are presented with publishing opportunities that have never existed before. This is not to understate the hard work that authors have to go through to get recognition, write great books, and make a full time living from their passion of expression. However, it is to say that today, due to advances in communications technology, authors can now get their books distributed much easier than they could a decade ago. One very popular way that authors are distributing their work is digitally through eBooks. Digital books are gaining so much popularity that even some of the most popular authors in the world have used it to distribute their books. Stephen King for example published “Riding the Bullet” exclusively in eBook format. When this eBook began distribution over Barns and Nobel and Amazon there was so much demand for the download that the servers of these two book giants slowed down almost to a halt. People that wanted to download the eBook were put in a large queue with the hundreds of thousands of other who downloaded the eBook as well.

Don’t underestimate the power of the EBook
EBooks are still looked upon as unpopular by many authors who have not yet taken the time to learn about the success within this industry. To set up an eBook you don’t need to be a tech wizard
Setting up your eBook from the idea conceptualization stage to the selling stage can’t be completed overnight but it is definitely something that can be done by anyone regardless of your technological background. If you can use a word processor then you can create and sell an eBook online. While it is recommended you set up your own website, it is not necessary. Setting up an EBook site is virtually costless and you keep 100% of the profits
With traditional publishers you’ll be lucky to see 10% of the profits from your book. With eBooks however, you keep 100% of the profits minus the fees required to set up the site which are minimal. Here is the fee breakdown for eBooks vs. traditional books:

EBook = Free to create an unlimited number of copies
Book = approximately $1500 for 200 copies of a 200 page soft cover book
Rights and profit
EBook = You keep 100% of the profits and rights to your eBooks
Book = You get 10-40% royalty (usually about $2-$5/ book)
With the above examples it is easy to see that for first time author’s eBooks make a lot of sense. The risk associated with publishing an eBook is much lower than it is with distributing a soft or hard cover book. Likewise, as an eBook author you’ll keep virtually all of your own profits.
If nothing else, it is something worth consideration. EBooks may not replace traditional paperback books, but they certainly are gaining popularity at a rate that should make all authors stop to think about how they could use eBooks to their advantage.
