List building is the existence blood of any affiliate marketer, but that is an article for another time. By building a website, not only does it give you an opportunity to build a list, make yourself different from your competitors, and offer more value, it also allows you to market more than one program. This is a good list-building technique, since the prospects have already expressed and interest in what you have to market and offer. Let’s begin building your list with a profoundly simple project.
On the other hand, building an opt-in list is a perfectly acceptable and highly successful method that will keep you from being labeled bad business. Building a list of network marketing prospects can be fairly simple at first, but beyond the warm market you’ll need to vary your approach and build a relationship prior to inviting them to see what your product and business is all about. This is why building a list of buyers, people who value your recommendation, is essential. Your JV partner has spent time and money building her list.
Your list you need to spend a great deal of time and effort building your list. Safe lists are a traditional form of free advertising, and although not as effective as they once were, they can still deliver reasonable results, particularly if you are building a list of subscribers. In building my own business from scratch over the past 10 years, I’ve found that once you’ve established a basic dealer/distributor network-or a list of people selling foryou, you can add hundreds of related products, and the orders just keep coming in.
An offer to join my newsletter: – As I have said before you should be building your own mailing list. You’re insane if you aren’t building a list of subscribers that want to receive information from you. Building your very own opt-in email list is one of the best ways to gather prospects and make repeat sales. Keep in mind that building a large list of subscribers takes a lot of time.
Add an opt-in list to your website and you will be well on your way to building a very valuable asset – a customer list that you can sell to again and again, year after year. There is a process for building a new piece of hardware, for installing a piece of software & another & another, for transferring data and the list goes on.

Even though I am well aware of the risks inherent in making assumptions, I am willing to take those risks for the purposes of this review.
I am assuming that you have decided that there is more to life than you are presently experiencing. You have seen, heard about, or read about the small percentage of people who truly live the lives of their dreams. Something deep inside you has told you that you have a choice of doing nothing different in your life which means very little if anything is going to change.
The desire inside you to live more of the life you would like is strong enough to motivate you so you have decided to make the attempt at mastering your mind power and to improve your life. You have even realized that small changes are not sufficient. You have accepted the words of the Rich Dad of Robert Kiyosaki who said just living differently is not the solution. You must live the OPPOSITE of your present existence.
To identify what your OPPOSITE life would be, you have mapped out all of your present consistent thoughts, mental images, and beliefs that you would need to remove from your life. You have wrestled mightily with that thought because living OPPOSITE might mean giving up your present comfortable surroundings, which may include some of your friends and family, your present job, and certain relationships. It will certainly mean ceasing to engage in many, if not most, of the thoughts, ideas, and mental images that consistently register on the screen of your mind daily.
You probably now have a better understanding of how your self image (ego, personality, map of reality) developed and how it became a subconscious mental vault for most of your consistent beliefs. You know more about how your most of your beliefs really belonged to your parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors, teachers, church members, and others in your environment from your past.
You realize they were in positions of influence and were able to succeed in passing their beliefs on to you. Since your mental faculties were not yet developed to the point where you could reason effectively and consciously filter out beliefs that did not serve you in a positive way, you simply accepted their beliefs as your own. Many of those beliefs from that time of long ago are still very much alive and still wielding their influence in your life today.
I assume you see how your self image is so very protective of your beliefs and will not readily allow any new incongruent thoughts and images to enter into your subconscious mind to become new beliefs. This is a huge paradox for you. To build a life that conforms to your dreams requires that you develop new (OPPOSITE) consistent thoughts, mental images, and beliefs. For that development to take place, you must find a way or ways to get those new (opposite) consistent thoughts, mental images, and beliefs past that tyrannical sentinel, the self image.
I am also assuming that you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, so you have, however reluctantly, identified at least some new consistent thoughts and beliefs you wish to make your own on your own. You have identified a process for change that includes a regimen of repeating affirmations. However unsure you may be, you begin!
This I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

The second best Serbian tennis player and US Open runner-up is considered by the experts the next player to achieve the top spot position in the WTA tennis rankings. Jeca as she is also known also looks forward to win her first Grand Slam as she believes the time has come and she is preparing harder mentally and physically. Jankovic is still young and there are many things she will still need to experience from this point forward. Although, both, her coach and her now clearly understand what it takes to win a Grand Slam.
During the present campaing Jankovic had several opportunities to achieve a higher level; she got to semifinals at the French Open and the final at the U.S Open. While at the U.S Open she got every opportunity to beat the current number one of the world Serena Williams but she made a lot of mistakes during key moments. Despite her losing the Grand Slam she did learn experience…exactly as she told the sport media and that she will keep working harder and harder until she achieve her goals.
Currently Jankovic will play this week at the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, where she enters as top seeded. Jeka will face the Italian Flavia Pennetta in the opening round and will look forward for her preparation for the next year’s big tournaments especially the Grand Slams.
Jelena has won 7 titles, three in Tier I, one in Tier III, two in Tier IV & V and one ITF Tour in Dubai. Her career began in 2001 when she played her first WTA tournaments. Just two years later Jelena entered the Top 100 being No. 90 after her victory in Dubai. During 2004 Jelena increased her ranking to No. 51 after winning her first WTA Tour title in Budapest. Later after defeating several top-20 players Jeca ended the 2004 season placed as the number 28 in the world. The 2005 season was considered her breach to the women’s tennis getting into three finals in Dubai, Birmingham and Seoul and by 2006 Jankovic improved her numbers to the 12th position.
In the 2007 season she reached her second Tier IV and played all the way to the fourth round of the Australian Open. Later after getting into the French Open semifinals Jankovic was ranked No.3. In 2008 Jankovic defended her Tier I title in Rome; currently she is ranked No. 2.
Nevertheless, Jankovic needs to become a stronger contender as the Williams sisters seem to be at the top of their game. “Naturally they are just physically stronger than 99 percent of the girls. Nothing falls from the sky. You have to work harder than anyone else if you want to be the best and that’s what I’m trying to do” stated Jeca.
With all these records and experiences we know Jankovic will reach a future the number one spot once again as she is a hard working athlete and tennis player and she continues to dwell upon her dream, a Grand Slam title.

If you are printing a multi-page document, you will probably need to choose a binding method. Commercial printing firms use many different kinds of methods for holding the sheets of paper in place. Which kind of binding methods should you choose?
Read through the following to get an idea of what options are available to you. Binding is the final touch on your printing project. No matter how well-designed the rest of your project, the wrong binding methods can ruin the whole thing.
Ring binding
Commercial printing on a budget may best be bound using rings. Ring binding uses a strong or stiff outer notebook cover with three or more rings that can be opened or closed. This will give you ease of access so you can add or remove paper easily.
Comb or coil binding
When you need a semi-permanent solution, comb or coil binding may be your best bet. Comb binding uses dozens of small plastic “teeth” that close around small holes to hold the paper together. Coil binding uses a wound piece of metal that is threaded through dozens of small holes.
Thermal binding
Commercial printing companies use thermal printing when large documents need to be bound permanently. A heavy strip of cloth is affixed to the edge of the paper using extreme heat. The result is a very clean look and feel that allows the book to be opened to lay flat.
Saddle-stitch binding
Ideal for smaller books, commercial printing firms use saddle stitch binding or stapling to hold several sheets together. This is accomplished by folding the paper in half, and then the papers are stitched or stapled along the fold.
Perfect binding
For large books, such as telephone directories or novels, perfect binding is the commercial printing method of choice for a strong but clean look. An outer cover is wrapped around the pages of the book. The pages are then attached to the cover along their edges by a flexible adhesive.
Whatever your binding needs, talk to your favorite commercial printing firm about one of the above options. On a tight budget or sparing no expense, binding is the final piece of the puzzle that completes your printing project: so choose carefully.

Online auctions are a great way to find a bargain on almost everything and it is an excellent way of getting the best price for selling something of your own. These are Virtual auctions on the Internet. The seller sells the product to the person who offers the highest price. These products include houses, cars, seized electronics, jewelry, books, antiques and others.
Online auctions are different from their real-world counterparts. You are free to take your time browsing the listings and bidding takes place over a period of days rather than minutes. Online Auctions offer good chance for anyone wishing to start an online business for a number of reasons. If you feel you have the perseverance necessary to run your own successful business, this is one opportunity you should consider.
There are thousands of online auctions on the Internet with more popping up everyday. People love them because they can usually find great bargains. Businesses are now also seeing the benefits of online auctions. Some of them:
Ø You could sell your excess or discontinued products at an online auction. It’s an effective way to make extra income without any loss for your business. Thus you can make a profit depending on how much people will bid for your excess inventory. Also extreme inventory can be cleared off cost successfully.
Ø An easy way to test new product prices is to see what people will bid for them at an online auction. First, sell your product at three different online auctions. Next, calculate the average selling bid from all three auctions and that will be your selling price for your new product. Hence we can know the exact selling price of the product.
Ø There are several auction sites for bidding any product. Some of the auction sites draw over millions of hits a year. The key to being successful is to sell your product at multiple online auctions at the same time. Suppose if we sell a product at one hundred online auction sites that would be one hundred sales a day! This way we can increase our sales at one time.
Online auctions is the best place if you’re looking for a collectible or thinking about selling an antique We’ve seen the benefits of online auctions but there are some common mistakes to be avoided in online auctions:
1. Listing an item with wrong auction expiration time.
It’s a known fact that more buyers browse auction sites on Sunday evenings than any other time during the week.
2. Not giving your listing the attention it deserves – Lots of people place items without photos and even good description. Some people use all kinds of flashing animation, multicolored text and other bells and whistles in an attempt to entice bidders. Listings like these are disturbing, hard to read, and will always discourage people from bidding, resulting in a lower final sales price. So just give the description of the article upto the mark.
3. Using a reserve price – Use the fixed to guarantee that one will get a minimum price for an item. This also ensures the good quality of the product. People will not bid on “Reserve” auctions, as they don’t want to get “Reserve not yet met” message.
4. Not planning your business activities – It is always better to create business plan and start implementing it. Some businesses require measures to be done everyday so plan it thoroughly.
5. Not selecting several good drop shippers – Your business should be stable. Drop shippers can quit and also they can kill your business by not meeting your expectations So keep revolving them until you get several good ones for your business.
Online Auctions offer good opportunity for anyone wishing to start an online business for a number of reasons. If you feel you have the diligence necessary to run your own successful business, this is one opportunity you should consider.

Marketing materials, such as brochures or postcards, are much more appealing when printed in color. Alongside black-and-white, color printing catches the eye better and keeps attention longer. Color can establish your company brand if used consistently.
Avoid making the mistake of just throwing together a color printing piece without knowing color design rules. Following tips from the professionals will insure that your color layout will make your advertisements captivating.
1. To effectively establish your brand, be consistent with your color scheme. If you are changing the colors you use too much, then consumers will not be able to pick out your company brand from the rest.
2. Limit the placement of color. Try using it in only a few large concentrated areas rather than scattering small amounts of color over the entire page. Also, coloring one word or phrase is much more effective than using color for an entire section such as a headline. This technique makes the colored information stand out more.
3. Be cautious about using color for text as the words can be harder to read than traditional black text on white. If you do apply color for text, make sure to use contrast so that the text pops out from the background. Use lighter colors for the background and darker colors for text since light-colored text can be difficult to read.
4. Think about your audience and use color accordingly. Colors have different cultural meanings and can send the wrong message if you are advertising on an international scale. For instance, while white signifies purity in the United States, it is a symbol of death in China.
5. Commercial printing companies use offset printing, which mean that they print on large sheets of paper that they trim down to size. “Bleed” your background off of the edge of your desired layout so that when trimmed, it will not have an uneven white strip along the edges.
Take your time when considering color for your design and choose shades carefully. You wouldn’t want to turn consumers away in frustration because of too much clutter or the wrong message.

The best way to get customers happy is by giving them as much convenience as you possibly can.
This has always been a centerpiece when it comes to marketing. The more help you can provide for your customers the greater the odds of them being willing to give you their business. This is why retail stores have people wandering around the sales floor ready to answer questions or direct people to the right places.
Why do you think many commercial or advertisements tell people where the store is located? Don’t make them look up the information themselves when you can instead provide it for them.
This leads to my primary point in writing this: the best companies are the ones that can answer questions before the customer even has a chance to ask them, and brochure printing is often the best way to do this.
The less a person knows about a company the more questions they’re naturally going to have. The first kind of marketing a new company should do is to get some brochure printing done with as many possible questions already in it along with the right answers.
Doing this accomplishes multiple different goals. The first is that you do give people details they would’ve normally had to go to extra effort to gain themselves. But even more than that, it shows people that you have them in mind. You aren’t just promoting yourself, but figuring out what concerns they’re going to have, and doing your best to answer them ahead of time.
People who feel that a company has their best interests in mind are going to come to trust that company a lot faster. If you happen to be in an industry that’s selling something new or unknown to many people, answering these questions ahead of time becomes even more important of a factor.
Of course, odds are good you won’t be able to think up answers to every single question a person has, which is why you also have to set yourself up in such a way so that you can answer first questions at a moment’s notice.
Get the brochure printing done, but also set up another source for answering questions as well. This might be a website dedicated to answering anything people have. Start up a Q and A campaign where you go around asking people what they want to know and do your best to provide them with all the details they need.
A customer who knows everything they need to know is one much more likely to have interest in buying from you. The less someone knows the greater the odds that they won’t realize they could use your services or product. You need to be sure they’re aware of exactly what your product means to them personally. If you can do that, you’ll find yourself getting a lot more sales.

Sometimes the only thing holding you back from entering the internet marketing field is failure to start. The biggest reason people do not start is because they do not have a product. You do not need to have a product to start internet marketing. In fact, some of the most successful internet marketers do not have their own products. If you are putting off starting your online career because you do not have a product I have a way for you start right now, today. You do not need your own product. You can sell someone elses product. This is called affiliate marketing.
OK. Here is how affiliate marketing works. Let us think an internet marketer has a product, say an eBook. He wants to maximize his sales on the book. In order to do that he wants to have as many people helping to sell his book as he can get.
In order to motivate others to sell his product he offers anyone who sends him a lead that turns into a buying customer, 50 percent of the sale price. In other words, if you sent someone to his website, and that person decided to buy the eBook, you would get half of the sale price. If the eBook price was USD 47 then your commission for providing that lead would be USD 23.50. In this example you made USD 23.50 with out having your own product. If you could do that just one time a day, you would have USD 704 within a month. Not a bad profit for not having your own product and having just one lead a day purchase the affiliate product.
How do you get started? First, go to an affiliate marketing site. Clickbank.com is the most popular affiliate site. There you will find thousands of products with affiliate programs that you can profit from. You choose a product that you believe will do well based on the sales statistics you can lookup on Clickbank. Once you choose a product then you decide how you are going to market it. If you want to start immediately, the fastest way to get started is with pay per click advertising like Google Ad Words.
You set up a Google Ad Words campaign using keywords that fit with your product choice. Literally minutes after you set up your Google campaign your ads promoting the affiliate product are live. For more details you can visit our website. Utilizing this type of strategy, you may be sending leads to your affiliate products website within minutes of setting up your Ad Words campaign. If one of them buys, you just made your first commission. You did it without your own product and without a website.
This is a quick overview of the process but it really can work just like that. You may have many questions about this process. How to pick the right product, how to set up a pay per click ad campaign, or what other ways can affiliate marketing work are some of the questions I intend to answer for you in the coming weeks. Return to this Blog often and you will find answers to those questions and much more information about internet marketing. I will be here to help you with your online marketing success.

The researchers often talks about to find the cause of a disease. Some causes for a particular disease are very straightforward. For example a broken leg is the result of the strain in the leg muscles. The Knee pain is the result of the disruption in the tendons and ligaments. The running nose is the result of cold. But the situation is not so simple with depression because there is not only a single cause of depression. Even it is also very difficult to determine which cause results to which type of depression. Depression occurs because of the disturbance in the brain nerve cells due to which they are not in a condition of communicating with each other. These nerve cells are known as neurotransmitters. The factors which can effect these neurotransmitters and lead to depression are
Family history: Depression can be a heredity disorder in some cases. Depression can be transferred from one generation to other in a family. So if someone’s ancestors or parents have ever experienced depression in their life then there are more chances of depression in their children.
Stress or disaster: The sad incident such as death of someone’s beloved or breakup in relationships can also cause cancer. Depression can also occur because of sudden change in life. These may include positive changes such as getting a new job and getting married. You can also suffer from depression because of some major financial crisis such as heavy loss in business.
Pessimistic Approach: People who have a negative approach towards life can suffer from depression. The people with low self prestige and those who always underestimate themselves are highly prone to cancer. But the depression occurs from such factors is very mild and is referred as Dysthmia.
Physical Disorders: Depression can also occur because of . diseases like cardiovascular, chronical and HIV. These diseases are not the direct cause of depression rather they makes the immune system weak. So the ability of body to fight against the diseases decreases. So depression can easily grasp such people.
Psychological Disorders: Depression in itself is a mental disorders but other mental problems such as Anxiety and Alzheimer can also lead to depression.
Depression is a mental disorder which badly effects the mind state of the patient. So <a href=”http://www.natures-remedies.com/”>Depression</a> must be diagnosed as early as possible. Natural pearls are those pearls which are the creation of nature. The nature cannot tolerate any others interference in the creation of these pearls or in other words these pearls are impossible to create artificially. Natural pearls are created when e parasite or any other organism invades the mollusc in the oyster. After a very long period of time a s pearl is created. Cultured Pearls on the other hand are formed in nature with the involvement of the man. The pearl farmers can create these pearls by entering an outside object in the tissue of the oyster. The same process is applied for the creation of natural pearls. But the only difference lies in the fact for natural pearls the process starts suddenly or accidentally but for the cultured peals the process starts intentionally. Today the natural pearls have replaced the cultured pearls because of a large amount of risks are associated with the natural pearls. The cultured pearls can be distinguished from the natural pearls by imposing X ray beams. The pearls are now available for the pearl lovers at an affordable price. The credit goes to the pearl industry which is approximately hundered years old. The size, shape and color of the natural pearls completely depends upon the nature and the mollusc. The pearl attains its various features relying upon whether the mollusc lives in fresh water, salt water and other geographic condition with its host named as oyster. The natural pearls are very rare and if they exist then most of them have no commercial value because they are irregular in shape and size. Because of this they did not meet with the customer expectations. In the past natural pearls were a symbol of luxury. It was used in jewelry items by the queens and the kings. In the present you can see the natural pearls only in Museums. Only a few Natural pearl beds exist in the world in Persian gulf because the most of the natural pearl beds have been harvested. The fresh water pearl beds are found in the United States of America. In near future the natural pearls will completely extinct.
Pearls are the gemstones which are created by the living creatures. When the <a href=”http://www.pearlsofjoy.com”>Pearls</a> are created naturally but in the care of a man then those pearls are referred as <a href=”http://www.pearlsofjoy.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=4″> Pearl Earing</a>.

Color enhances the appearance of any printing project, whether it be flyers, postcards, brochures, posters, or any other advertisement. Since it is such a viable aspect, color must be used carefully in design so that it doesn’t have the wrong affect on viewers. Following some guidelines for color use and printing will improve your results.
1. Choose a full color printing company for your color project. Why, exactly? Because the full color, also known as four color, method uses the three primary colors of ink – cyan, magenta, and yellow – plus black ink (CMYK). This produces more professional colors when printed onto paper.
2. When designing, choose colors from the CMYK scheme in your design program. Just remember that the printed outcome will look slightly different than the colors on your screen. Although not necessary since a printer will choose similar colors for you, selecting your own CMYK colors helps to insure the exact image you are trying to create.
3. Limit your color choices to only two or three for most advertising pieces. Brochures and flyers can incorporate a four-color scheme if necessary.
4. Research the meaning of colors. The subliminal feelings that colors evoke can greatly influence a buyer’s decisions. Make sure that you are sending the right message with your color scheme.
5. Complimentary colors are those that are opposite each other on the color wheel. These shades provide the most contrast, which helps information to stand out more. For a third color, choose one that blends well with your complimentary colors. For a four-color scheme, use another set of complimentary shades.
Color printing is not something to treat lightly. Use a professional printer and choose your shades thoughtfully. The results are worth any extra effort that you put forth.

Just because something has been around for a very long time, that doesn’t mean you’ll know what all it entails and what it can mean to you.
Direct mailing is a staple in the world of marketing and has existed for so long because of the benefits it offers. People are still using it just as much today as they ever have, and if you’re looking for something to do with your marketing, this might be the best path for you.
But why is it so effective, and what exactly does direct mailing mean?
To put it simply, direct mailing is gathering a list of prospective clients and mailing them your marketing material. This means your advertisements are being handed directly to the people you have interest in gaining sales from.
Few other forms of marketing can boast such a claim, but to get it to really work for you, you need to hand people something they’ll have interest in looking at, and won’t just throw in the trash.
This is why postcards have traditionally been the advertisements of choice to send people for a variety of reasons. The first is the lower costs of commercial printing and designing associated with a postcard. You’re going to be sending out a lot of them, so getting as many as possible for the lowest costs is always going to be sought after. Postage for sending postcards is also cheaper than sending a normal letter, once again granting you additional savings.
Next, a postcard—if properly designed—will stand out in a pile of envelopes. You need to put some very nice, vibrant images on a postcard to ensure people will immediately notice it when they sort through their mail. Most people are only going to glance at the postcards before throwing them away. You have that small window of opportunity to make sure their glance becomes a longer stare.
So what situations call for direct mailing? If you’re going to focus on more of a niche market direct mailing is one of the better forms of marketing to go for. After all, you can target a very specific group of people with ease, which is what the purpose of focusing on a niche market is.
Another consideration is weighing the long term costs of direct mailing against others forms of marketing. Once you have your list set up it isn’t difficult to continue using it, and you can send out multiple batches of postcards with ease. You might spend more money at first to get that list going, but you can keep using it for long enough to earn back the original costs, and since the commercial printing costs for the actual postcards are so low, you end up with a fully functioning marketing machine ready to be used whenever you wish.
Direct marketing has lasted as long as it has for a reason. Start getting it to work for you.

Even though I have spent significant time talking about using a rubber band as an efficient, effective tool for subduing tail enders as you work toward mastering your mind power using affirmations, there are other tools that are available and effective. Some of these tools include EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), self hypnosis, professionally administered hypnosis, the use of subliminal media, visualization, various positive immersion workshops, and retreats.
There are probably even other tools that I know nothing about. Perhaps you already have your own. If do and if it is effective in subduing the tail enders to the degree that you are able to get new consistent thoughts, ideas, mental images, and beliefs into your subconscious mind, by all means use it.
I have also used self hypnosis and EFT to help me handle tail enders. I do not believe I ever learned to use self hypnosis properly as I did not obtain any noticeable success with it. With EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), however, my success rate was substantial. This tool teaches a technique of tapping certain areas of the body with your fingers.
The premise of the founder of EFT is that all negative emotions are the result of disruptions to the electrical system of the body. Immediately tapping on prescribed locations, in a prescribed way at the time of the disruption brings the body back into balance. In the state of balance, conditions are much superior for your subconscious mind to be receptive to your affirmations. The key is to tap while the tail ender is present and you physically feel the disruption.
My difficulty with EFT is when tail enders appear at work, at social gatherings, or other public places, tapping often generates stares, comments, questions about what you are doing, and even jokes. Any of those responses may produce more tail enders. At a minimum, you might feel some embarrassment, which is another form of tail ender.
If you are unable to tap immediately in these settings, the electrical disruption subsides but the body remains unbalanced. At a later time as soon as you are in comfortable surroundings, You should mentally re-play the situation that produced the tail ender to elicit some degree of the electrical disruption to your body that you experienced earlier and perform the tapping sequence to restore balance.
One of the reasons I prefer the rubber band technique is I can do it any time and nearly any place. I just need to be able to snap my wrist with the rubber band sufficiently hard to become acutely aware of the impact. In that instant, my focus on the tail ender stops. That brief moment presents me with my moment of power, during which I can refocus on any thought, idea, or mental image I choose, including my affirmation.
I am not aware of any tool that is 100% effective for 100% of the people who use it. Different people respond differently to different tools. Ultimately, you must test and you must choose what works effectively for you.
This, however, I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

NO GOLF IN THE OLYMPICS? WHAT THE F?
By Richard Cabeza
Wormkiller.com Action News
8/16/08
Watching the 2008 Olympics I am constantly bothered by one thing, and it isn’t the horrible commentary. I’m baffled by the absence of golf. I know what you might be thinking and I’m thinking the same thing, ‘Does the world really need another sport added to the Olympic roster?’ but the answer should be a resounding ‘YES’.
Golf is, after all, a legitimate sport, giving it a clear advantage over half the current so-called ‘sports’ accepted by the Olympics. Take ping-pong for instance.
If you’re reading this thinking ping-pong is legitimate, then I have no problem telling you that you’re a complete moron. Ping-pong, which is not a sport, is a miniature version of tennis, which is a sport. There is no disputing this fact.
If we’re forced to accept ping-pong as a legitimate sport, then why don’t we allow other miniature versions of other sports into the Olympics as well? What about foosball? It looks a lot like a tiny version of soccer to me and is a hell of a lot more fun to play than ping-pong. What about miniature golf? Who wouldn’t want to see a completely serious American team putting for gold on the draw bridge hole?
I honestly don’t have a problem with ping-pong. I’m just saying I want some consistency, which brings me to my main gripe with the Olympics. Ping-pong has no business being in the Olympics but I do believe it has more of a right to be there than dressage or gymnastics, because ping-pong, while still not a sport in my opinion, is at least a finish line…game.
What’s a ‘Finish Line’ sport you ask?
There are two kinds of sports in the Olympics. ‘Judged’ sports and ‘Finish Line’ sports. Examples of Finish Line sports include: running, swimming, fencing, archery, soccer (Football) and pretty much everything else. In a finish line sport someone crosses the finish line first, or jumps the highest or scores the most points. There is no question as to whom the medal should go to. In my opinion this is the essence of a real sport. Two teams or players competing for the win.
Examples of Judged sports include: diving, dressage, all gymnastics, sometimes boxing if a decision is required, synchronized swimming and a plethora of other lame sports. In a judged sport there is no clear winner and a third party decides which of the contestants did the best. Even if these are the most qualified experts, they’re still just people with opinions.
One such event is called ‘Dressage’. In case you missed this prestigious sport it involves a horse, a jockey and prancing. Yes, prancing. ‘Judges’ sit on the sidelines and actually weigh the performance of prancing horses and pick the best one, because in dressage there in no finish line for the horses to cross. There is no bar they must jump over. There are no points other than the completely bogus points the judges award. There are only prancing horses, and a bunch of expert morons, judging the whole shebang.
How can this ‘Sport’ get Olympic recognition while other real sports, such as golf, are completely ignored? What else will the Olympics Committee approve over golf? I can only imagine it will be some stupid judged sport where moronic women prance around with hula-hoops like cheerleaders on steroids. Oh ya, that’s an Olympic sport as well. It’s called Artistic Gymnastics. Really, I’m not lying. They actually award medals for it.
The problem could be that many people have hang ups with golf being in the Olympics. I’ll address some of these hang ups right now.
Some say that golf is already a global sport with many international competitions to decide who is the best. There is no need for it to be in the Olympics. Soccer is more of a religion than sport to half the world. It has a global following and many international competitions, with one such competition that is arguably more popular, if not more important, than the Olympics. Has anyone heard of the World Cup? So why is soccer allowed in the Olympics, certainly not because it already has a global presence.
Some say we shouldn’t have pros compete if golf becomes an Olympic sport. Fine with me. So we only allow amateurs to compete. Who really wants to see Tiger bending over to accept a gold medal on top of everything else the guy has won? Not me. So okay, fine, lets hand the reins over to some amateurs and let the games begin.
Some feel that golf has no place at the Olympics. William K Wolfrum had this to say, ‘ Head over to the Louvre one day and check out the statues of ancient Greek athletes. You’ll notice that very few of them depict naked guys holding a five iron with a caddie next to them checking the wind. By all means golf is a great game, but it’s just not Olympiad worthy.’
While it is true that you may not find naked statues of ancient Olympians holding five irons, there is a long list of other sports you will never see statues of ancient Olympians doing. Diving. Synchronized swimming. Trampoline. Sailing. Dressage. Artistic gymnastics. My guess is that they would laugh themselves silly if they saw our current Olympics event list. Golf, at least, they might understand.
The ancient Olympians practiced only finish line sports like, wrestling, chariot races, boxing that didn’t require a decision, and something called the pankration. A sport very much like modern day mixed martial arts cages fights, but these were not light weight matches. The ancient Greeks didn’t mess around.
During one pankration match a man named, Arrichion of Phigaleia won the event even though he was dead. His opponent had him in a chokehold and Arrichion, in his desperation to get out, broke his opponent’s fingers and ankle. The opponent almost passed out from the pain of shattered bones, and submitted. When the referee untangled the two men, it was discovered that Arrichion had died from the chokehold. Not a country to wimp out, the Greeks crowned the dead man’s body with an olive wreath and declared him a hero.
Would these guys understand any of our judged sports?
I realize golf isn’t the manliest of sports. When compared to the ancient Olympics, every modern sport would invariably come up short. All I’m saying is at least golf is a finish line sport which makes it more inline with the original idea of the ancient Olympics and therefore, in my opinion, more deserving of a spot on the current Olympics event list .
At the very least, why not make a longest drive event? How hard would it be for the host country to install a field of grass, or a single hole? How awesome would it be to see the amazing drives the best of the best would deliver?
My fear is that even if golf does find its way into the Olympics, the people running things will screw it up somehow. They’ll probably institute some lame ass artistic golf swing event, where judges evaluated a contestant’s swing posture and speed. Then again after watching the Olympics this year, I’m not sure I could stomach their version of a golf commentary. I’d be asleep before the third contestant.

Throughout this summer there were different speculations regarding the Spaniard footballer Xabi Alonso and his transfer to another European football team. One of the main reasons was that Xabi Alonso didn’t look as a vital element anymore for Liverpool’s manager Benitez last season when he lost his spot as midfielder being replaced by Javier Mascherano in 2008. However, as Benitez decided to put Gerrard has second striker, Alonso recaptured his place in the team. But, when the season ended and the summer arrived, different clubs began looking for new players and transfers. In Xabi’s case the clubs interested were Juventus and Arsenal. These two teams were looking for great midfielders with experience and for them Xabi Alonso could be a good fit.
The deal with Juventus did not materialize as Liverpool did not want to lower their 18 million GBP price for the Spaniard. On the other hand, Arsenal’s story was very similar, as there were money issues and the bid was to low to be accepted by Xabi, his agent and Liverpool.
The English team of Arsenal stated the pricing Liverpool has to be extremely high. The offer made for the Spaniard was 12 million GBP compared to the 18 million GBP that was given by the Reds.
However, now that there are no arrangements with other teams, Xabi Alonso will play these four months for Liverpool as he and his agent will wait for better deals in January. The Spaniard midfielder is now focusing in playing well with Liverlpool .
Xabi’s profesional career began in 1999 with Real Sociedad when he was just 18 years old. Within a few months Coach Clemente transferred him to play in the second division during 2000. After a disappointing season due to managerial changes, Real Sociedad decided to get John Toshack in 2001. While Xabi became the team’s captain taking the team to a new level, and then even qualifying the team for first time to the UEFA Champions League during the 2002-2003 season. After three years with Real Sociedad, Xabi was transferred with a total of 10.5 million GBP to Liverpool. Xabi has achieved amazing things for the Red, and his has gained status one of the best midfielders in Europe.
Internationally speaking in 2006 Xabi was called to play for Spain’s national team during the 2006 Germany World Cup. Xabi scored his first international goal against Ukraine. But Spain did not get further in the tournament. But for the Euro 2008, Xabi Alonso got international glory with Spain when they won in an exceptional way.
We know Xabi Alonso is a great player, we hope he will decide the best for his future as he still has a long way to go and a lot of football to show to his fans as well as his skills on the field. For now, we look forward to see him playing his best with Liverpool this season.

Here’s the top 12 things you must do to enjoy your winery weekend tour. Written from the winery side of the bar where we’ve seen thousands for visitors having a great time. And some having a not so great time…
1 – Plan your trip and call ahead
You’ve got your winery map in front of you. So plan a route and be realistic about how long it’ll take you to drive from winery to winery. Can you really cover 50km of twisty road in 30 minutes? Be honest about what you can do in one day and more importantly, what you can enjoy in one day. It’s not a race to log the most tasting notes in 48 hours.
Stop…
Look…
Taste…
Listen…
Learn…
And most importantly enjoy the day.
Call each winery a few days before your weekend. Not all small wineries open every day and some close altogether over winter.
Plan your trip and leave time to enjoy your stay at each winery. About 1 hour should do.
2 – Line up a designated driver
You’ve probably already figured out where you want to stay the night. But you still need to get from winery to winery. Find someone who doesn’t drink or is willing to not drink this one weekend. It’s just plain easier and safer for you.
3 – Wear something comfortable and dark
For shoes, leave the stilettos and designer heels home this weekend. Wear something you’re comfortable walking and standing in. Not every winery will have space for you to sit down so you may be standing most of the day.
And wear comfy dark clothes. Dark clothes hide whatever you or more likely someone else spills on you. And it’s easier than having to change or walk around looking like Spot the dog for the day.
4 – Go easy on the after shave or perfume
A huge part of what you taste comes from the smell. That’s why food always tastes flat when you’ve got a blocked nose. It’s much easier to pick up the spice in the Merlot when you’re not battling with the Old Spice from the person next to you.
5 – Have a decent breakfast and plan a good lunch
You’ll stay sober longer and you’ll get the best from your days away with a decent breakfast under your belt. It’s no fun getting smashed by 11am on the first day when you’ve still got a dozen wineries to visit.
Get a decent breakfast and leave time for a good lunch. Either bring your own picnic basket and eat out in the vines or eat in. If you’ve planned lunch at someplace small and far away then please book ahead. Often it’ll be the only thing for miles and remember, plan ahead and you’ll enjoy your weekend away much, much more.
6 – Get there early
We know, from experience that afternoons are busiest. So try and get out of home and be at the first winery bang on opening time. Whoever’s behind the bar will have more time to spend with you, you’ll have a better time and you’ll learn more.
7 – Taste the wines in order of lightest and driest to strongest and sweetest
Tasting fine wines is just like enjoying a fine dinner. You start off with a light entrée and you finish with the sticky date pudding. Just imagine what your prawn cocktail tastes like after your ice cream? Start with the light whites and finish with the ports.
8 – Learn to spit
If you swallowed everything you tasted in one day on the road, you’d be hammered by lunchtime.
Learn to spit.
It’s an accepted and expected thing to do in the wine world.
But please… practice at home first.
9 – Don’t stress about taking tasting notes
Remember you’re out to enjoy your weekend and your wines and not check the boxes on a score sheet. Grab the wines you like on the day (please keep them out of the boot on a 40C degree day). And get yourself on the winery mailing list. Most wineries will have a newsletter and tasting notes online. So don’t worry about scribbling notes that you’ll probably lose on the way home. Once you’re on the mailing list you can order your favourite wines anytime.
10 – Keep drinking water all day long
Sipping wines and travelling all day dries you out. Carry your water bottle with you, keep it topped up and keep sipping all day. It just means you keep tasting wines longer and don’t flake out early on.
11 – What goes in, must come out
Use the toilets at each stop. I know it sounds obvious and we’re not 3 years old anymore, but we see all sorts of strange things. So stop at the loo whenever you get a chance.
12 – Enjoy they stay
Relax and go with the flow and just have a good time. Don’t rush as it’s not a race. If you don’t get through your planned route, then so be it. There’ll always be another weekend and hey, do you really need an excuse for another wine weekend away?
Remember… You’ll be in a new area enjoying new things, new wines and meeting new people. Just kick back and enjoy the experience.

Mages in World of Warcraft is obviously one of the best and only “area of effect” classes besides a warlock. Both a fire mage and ice mage will work ok but a frost mage for sure will definitely shine over a fire mage in this step by step guide. A frost mage have much more survivability over the fire spec. Using this method, you should be able to average approximately 100 sunfury signets as well as possibly 5 arcane tomes. This itself should yield over 100 gold. More than likely you will also be receiving lots of rare items and recipes here as well.
To begin, your mage does not require to be greatly geared out but anything with over 400 bonus frost damage should do fine. Ideally you would want more, somewhere close to 700. Your mage should have these abilities in their talent tree in order to utilize this guide. The following are a must have; water elemental, ice barrier, ice floes, improved blizzard, and cold snap. There are also other spells that I highly suggest getting such as permafrost, ice shards, piercing ice, icy veins, shatter, improved cone of cold, arctic winds, shattered barrier, fingers of frost, improved water elemental and deep freeze.
Once you have the requirements set, make your way to Netherstorm in Outland. It is one of the highest level zones in World of Warcraft as of the Burning Crusade expansion. This World of Warcraft gold farming method is not only ideal to farming for gold but also for leveling your characters. With skill and practice, you can start farming with your mage at about level 67 to 68. Ideally 68 because of the “to hit code” that you will face at lower levels. This is a great way to level yourself, gather gold and build your faction with the Scryers. Once you arrive at the neutral town of Area 52, make your way a bit south and west until you reach Mana Forge B’naar.
There are about 3-5 camps of sunfury mobs that you can easily kill. To start, you should try small groups of maybe 3-5 for practice until you are more comfortable with the surrounding and the method you should use. Fully buff yourself up slap on an ice barrier then hop on your mount. Grab a small group of 5 with your mount and pull them onto a safe isolated spot where you can kill them with out interruption of your casting. Once you have them at your sweet spot, frost nova them down, blink away, bring out your pet if you need and start casting blizzard. Should they get close enough to hit you and your frost nova is not back up, use your pets. Freeze them again, rinse and repeat with blizzard, cone of cold or arcane explosion.
Once you get enough practice, you should be able to handle these mobs like a pro. You should be able to kill a group of 20 and up with no problem at all. Yes this does get very boring over time but it is still one of the fastest and most commonly used methods of Chinese World of Warcraft gold farmers and gamers. Keep in mind this World of Warcraft gold farming technique requires lots of repairs on your gears as you will be getting hit quite often.

Before embarking on a CRM project, you need to consider if it will fulfill the ultimate objective of the business process after implementation. Things to consider include objective focus, customer focus, data consolidation, change incorporation, customer flexibility, data assessing, and the like. There are two
types of CRM systems available on the market. One is the onsite CRM systems developed using programming languages like VB, Java, or C ++ that will better suit large scale business transactions. These are quite costly and are very flexible and can be modified according to the companies’ needs. Whereas, the second type is a web-based CRM tools designed especially for medium and small range
businesses. This type of CRM applications can be accessed by any one using a standard web browser and an internet connection. Usually the service is offered by service providers at a price much lower than the onsite CRM systems. The advantage of web-based applications include low cost, ability to modify applications with ease, ability to access data from anywhere, anytime, administrators can restrict access according to hierarchy, secured data storage, and many more.

“Do I need to know GIS if I’m making GIS data?” You might think the answer is obvious to everyone. Of course you need to know GIS (geographic information systems) if you are making GIS (mapping) data. But some people think they can just mark up a Google map and suddenly have good boundary data. And believe it or not, some commercial providers of map data eschew the “GIS culture” and say that traditional mapping techniques actually hinder the production of data. Both are very wrong.
These attitudes are rooted in some misplaced beliefs:
Lie #1: I can just draw on top of Google Maps, right?
First off, this is probably illegal – not because Google would come after you. But because Navteq or Tele Atlas (their major data suppliers) would. If you use their streets to create a product, that’s a derivative product and you owe them licensing fees. Period.
Lie #2: Nobody Cares About Topological Correctness (even if they know what it means)
Topological correctness simply means that the map data passes a series of fundamental GIS quality tests for usability and gives the data a “clean” stamp of approval. The problem with a lot of public map data is that there are fundamental errors: self-intersects, overlaps, slivers, small gaps, etc. Even if high-end GIS systems are used to create such data, there’s a high potential for such errors. If you aren’t even using GIS practices, then you can be sure these problems will be compounded. When your users get faulty results, they’ll start really caring about topological correctness.
Lie #3: Map Data Should Be Free
I’m not sure where this concept comes from. Anything that another person creates should never be free unless they created it in their capacity as a government employee. I guess I’m out of touch with this whole sentiment – I think our country is a better country when people are compensated for their creations and anyone who feels entitled to get something for nothing is hard for me to relate to. Morality aside, it’s clear that high-quality map data is not free, only the error-ridden, haphazard data is free. That said, innovative companies can and are figuring out ways to provide alternative licensing models so that you can more fairly equate value to price.
Lie #4: My Gramma Can Create Map Data
My gramma can do lots of great stuff. So can my kids. But I wouldn’t dare trust map data creation to anyone other than a trained professional. Professional training, professional tools, professional processes and professional attitude.
Lie #5: GIS Thinking Just Restricts Your Creativity
I’m not sure why you would want your data company to be “creative” – maybe “innovative”, but really you just want the results to be of value. And high-value map data requires highly engineered data creation processes. The most “creative” thing you want as a user of map data is a company that finds creative ways to get you what you need, not to come up with new paradigms that you can’t integrate.
Lie #6: Make it once and you’re done
Data changes over time. Sure, county boundaries are pretty stable, but ZIP Code boundaries shift all the time. And carrier route boundaries are spastically changing. Even city boundaries and neighborhood boundaries evolve faster than you might think. So, if you do make data, you need to be committed to keeping it current and accurate. Anybody who thinks this data is static will be in for a rude awakening when your competitors license data from a company that updates its data frequently.
Lie #7: Offshoring is the way to get great map data
Ah, yes, the canonical answer to all things data. “Let’s get some people in a foreign country to compile this for us.” I’m not saying that pure data businesses shouldn’t consider some element of offshoring. But how can a foreign team accurately describe something as fuzzy and local as neighborhood boundaries in the US? And for more complicated datasets, the amount of time you’d spend managing and QCing your offshore team’s work would be tremendous – far more expensive than licensing great data from the start.
Lie #8: You don’t need to be a mapping company to make good data
Ok, this is actually true. If you have enough money and talent, you could build your own data. But even though Google, Microsoft, Mapquest, Nokia, TomTom, etc. could do it, they don’t. They’ve tried but failed compared to companies with focus. The latter two are buying companies that do nothing other than map data. And then there’s Zillow who tried to do this in their spare time and had to admit defeat and call on the general public to fix their data for them.

As a small business, you have many advantages and disadvantages over a larger business. As a small business owner, you have the ability to go after smaller opportunities, be more prudent with expenses, and offer customers improved flexibility. While you may be taking advantage of the benefits of being a smaller business, you may not be looking at bigger businesses for ideas on how you can run your business more efficiently and catalyze your businesses growth.
Hedge Your Bets
Larger businesses will sometimes utilise hedging strategies to address over-exposure to a certain economy, asset-class, or commodity. To give an example, as an airline your business may be particularly vulnerable if oil prices rise. Therefore a larger business would consider going long on oil, perhaps through a leveraged account, so if oil prices rise they will earn money from their position and earn less money from tougher trading conditions. If oil prices fall, they will lose money through their position and earn more money from trading. An airline’s focus should not be on how they expect oil prices to move; it should be about focusing on their core competencies.
Hedging can be used in your small business too. Particularly exposed to a certain economy? Consider buying and selling certain currencies. It’s also not necessary to have large cash reserves to enter positions in currencies. You could use a leveraged account, and enter a $200,000 position for $1,000. If you reach the stage where you get hit with a margin call, your business should be thriving from its improved trading conditions.
Invest In Your Brand
Small businesses very rarely spend money on their brand. Most small business owners believe advertising and marketing serves one purpose: to drive action there and then. Larger businesses have patience and are willing to invest in winning business on longer sales cycles.
When Nike spends $150,000 on a TV advertising campaign, they don’t see an immediate lift in sales. They expect that those who view the advert will engage with their brand at a later stage, and when it comes time to buy a pair of trainers they will be at the front of consumers’ minds.
Consider how your brand is perceived. Consider how your company is positioned within your industry, and consider public relations too. What unique qualities do you want to portray in your business, and how do you intend to get the message across?
Say Goodbye To DIY
Smaller businesses are always focused on how they can do things cheaper. Bigger businesses are too, but only when there isn’t an obvious sacrifice involved. Many small business owners have their hands in too many pies; they will do their own accounts, create their own website, write their own terms and conditions, and create their own logo. For those that are bootstrapping their business, this may be the only way to get things done. But you should recognise that in most cases you are making a sacrifice; use an expert, and make sure you do your due diligence to ensure the expert is qualified.

My older brother and I left British Columbia when he had met a woman on a free dating website in Canada. I went with him, we got a place down there, and two years later, he was married. Now, I’m all alone in my apartment, and I’m looking for someone. I tried a few dates but they didn’t work out. I didn’t have much luck, it was a small town and I don’t think half of the people even had computers. After much hesitation, and about 2 more years of loneliness, I decided it was time to move home. I’ll fast foreword a bit as this isn’t my autobiography. Here I am, back in Canada, writing an article which, in a moment, will make sense.
Frustrated, I started using the same free dating websites in Canada that my brother used o find his wife. Anyways, after investing a fair amount of time making my free dating website in Canada profile just right, I began my search.
I’m not very picky when it comes to girls looks, I’m more interested in intelligence, sense of humour, and that they can hold a conversation. The first 3 days of using the free dating website in Canada, I had absolutely no luck. Not even one person messaged me. So I wrote a short online blog about myself, and within 15 minutes, the free dating website in Canada had lit up and I was getting messages left and right. Responses, rebuttals, and tonnes of potential dates! It was great. I think I’m really going to enjoy being an active member of this free dating website in Canada.
What the difference you have noticed in getting a date online and offline??

Early August is almost here and the anticipation of the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing is steadily increasing. As hopeful spectator’s eyes turn expectantly toward China, their eyes will also be taking in the ads of the Olympic corporate sponsors.
Coca-Cola, GE, Kodak, McDonalds and a host of other big companies have all invested millions of dollars in the hopes of bolstering their brand images and spurring sales of their products. Just to give you an idea of the kind of money involved, the Herald Tribune reported unofficial figures of eight hundred and fifty million dollars have been contributed by the games’ eleven global sponsors. That sort of big investment would not be happening if there were not equally big results.
Granted, that sort of investment is probably out of the range of your small business, but that does not mean that you should rule out sponsorship as a method of promoting your company. There are likely a number of regular events such as charity bike races, marathons, plays, festivals or cookouts that are all looking for corporate sponsors.
Sure, you will not reach as wide an audience as sponsoring the Olympics, but you will be reaching the people that matter, the people in your community that will be your regular customer base.
Just forking over the cash to sponsor an event is not enough, though. You should draw up some color printing to help promote the event and your involvement with it. What good is sponsoring an event if nobody knows about your good deed, right? When consumers are watching the race or biting into that barbeque sandwich, you want them to associate those good times with your company.
Not only is this a good time to spread awareness of your brand, it’s also the perfect time to run ads tied to the event or to promote exclusive, event related products, like shirts printed with the logo for the event and your own company name or logo. These sorts of tie-ins, whether sold or given away as promo items will further push brand recognition long after the event is over and act as a reminder of your companies good deed.
It is easy to see how event sponsorship can lead to expansive gains in brand recognition and community standing for your business. This, coupled with your own promotions and tie-ins, is certain to give you a big boost in profits. Who knows, it could be the first step to growing large enough that you can afford to sponsor the Olympics. The 2012 Olympics in London are just around the corner, after all.

More and more people are electing to avoid the risk of chemical contamination of their bodies, families and homes. Fortunately, solutions for addressing change exist and are within easy access. Choosing eco-friendly alternatives allows us to live a natural, green lifestyle.
The benefits organic bedding, eating organic foods and wearing organic clothing are numerous. Organic Foods The Organic Food Association tells us: “It’s common sense; organic food is good food. Good to eat, good for the environment, good for the small-scale farmers and farm workers who produce it.”
Organic farming is all about health and wellness. In order to assure optimum health and resistance against diseases, the natural balance in our own bodies and in the environment must be maintained. The use of artificial chemical pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, fertilizers, genetic engineering and drugs interfere with this delicate balance; with unknown and often harmful consequences! This is why organic farming impacts on much more than what can be tasted or seen.
Over the last fifty years, commercial farmers have, of necessity, continued to increase the amount of these hazardous applications. Cereal crops are sprayed as many as 8 times during the growing season. Many fruit and vegetable harvests have been sprayed 10 – 15 times. After harvesting the spraying process is repeated to inhibit grow of bacteria during storage and transport. Excessive spraying of fruit and vegetable crops destroys natural bacteria, leaving the plants increasingly vulnerable to attack from unwelcome pests or disease. More over insecticides and fungicides are then required to fight off infestation and decay. However, these pests rather quickly become immune to the chemicals applied and their population increases rapidly. More powerful and increasingly toxic chemicals are then required.
Organic certification is the consumer’s assurance that products have met stringent standards and have been grown and handled according to strict procedures without contamination from carcinogenic pesticides, fertilizers, human waste or sewage sludge and that they were processed without ionizing radiation or artificial food additives. Organic or non-organic, which would you rather put in your body? We are what we eat. When our diet is built upon natural organic choices we are providing our bodies optimum food, produced in optimum conditions. Organically raised vegetables and fruit provide more minerals and nutrients than commercially grown produce and are more intensely endowed with color, scent and flavor; they just taste better!
Organic meats are produced from animals that have been treated humanely and raised on certified organic pastures and feeds. Organic meat is the only meat product that guarantees that genetically modified organisms (GMOs) have not been used at any stage of growth production.
Organics And The Environment
The USDA estimates that within the next ten years half of all America’s farm products will come from only 1% of the farms. The EPA also states that commercial agriculture is accountable for 70% of the pollution in our country’s rivers and streams. Small-scale organic farmers finance innovative and far reaching research designed to minimize agriculture’s impact on the environment. They preserve bio-diversity by planting heirloom varieties of plants and harvesting seeds for future crops. The loss of a large variety of species is one of the worlds most pressing environmental concerns. The good news is that many organic farmers and gardeners have been gathering, preserving seeds and growing unusual and unique varieties for decades.
Organic farming methods naturally enrich the soil with manure and compost. Well balanced soils product healthy, strong plants, nourishing for both people and animals. Organic agriculture can be a lifeline for small farms as it offers an alternative market where sellers can command fair and equatable prices for crops. Organic farming may be one of the last ways to assure the survival of both our ecosystems and our rural farming communities .
Conventional farming endangers farm workers and their families. Scientific research confirms pesticide-related health problems which include cancer, birth defects, memory loss, paralysis and death. Unsecured storage, improper application methods and unsafe handling and transportation procedures are not at all uncommon and often lead to tragic mishaps. As pests develop resistance, farmers desperate to maintain or increase crop yields often resort to more and more applications of expensive and stronger chemical products. Facing rising costs, depleted fields and contaminated ground water, many small farmers have been forced to abandon their livelihood.
Organic farming, on the other hand, is not only safer and healthier for farmers, but also promotes just compensation in the supply chain. Organic farming provides an economically viable and socially acceptable alternative to large-scale farming and the accompanying dependence on government crop subsidies. Support of the small farmer supports America’s economy.
Organic production dramatically reduces health risks. Many EPA-approved pesticides were registered and approved prior to extensive research linking these noxious chemicals to cancer and other significant health problems. Crop dusting has often resulted in drifts of toxic pesticides from fields to residential areas.
Organic agriculture is one way to prevent more of these chemicals from contaminating the earth that sustains us. An increasing body of research indicates that pesticides and other contaminants are considerably more prevalent in the foods we eat, in our bodies and in the environment than we previously believed.
By choosing organic products we lessen this toxic burden. Organic farmers regularly rotate crops and plant cover crops to control weeds, nutrient leaching and erosion. Soil is the foundation of the food chain. The focus of organic farming is to use methods that build and maintain healthy and sustainable soils.
Organic Skin Care And Personal Products
Skin care and cosmetics are the least regulated products under the US Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Whether it is soap, moisturizers or deodorants, skin care products are an essential part of daily life. But do we really understand what these products actually contain and what we are forcing our skin to absorb?
Have you ever suffered from stinging, burning or itchy skin? Chances are that your skin absorbed irritants and toxins from your skin care products. The skin absorbs ingredients in all the personal care products that come in contact with our skin. Consider nicotine or HRT patches. They rely solely on skin absorption.
As mothers we are always concerned for the well being of our children. We tenderly comfort and bathe them with a wide range of products. These include soaps, shampoos, creams and lotions, many of which are used on baby’s tender skin several times a day. The skin is the largest organ of the body and the delicate skin of an infant can be up to 100 times more sensitive and receptive to toxic chemicals and irritating ingredients that the skin of an adult.
Without even realizing, parents put their babies at risk daily. Did you know that applying baby powder to your baby’s skin may pose a cancer risk later in life? The principle ingredient in many baby powders is talc, which several medical studies have confirmed as a known carcinogenic.
Lanolin is a main ingredient in many personal care products and when processed from organically raised sheep, is a wonderful healing balm. The danger lies in non-organic lanolin that has been processed from sheep that were dipped or sprayed for lice with chemical pesticides that are contaminated with carcinogenic ingredients such as DDT, dieldrin or lindane. The residue of these toxin remains in the processed lanolin and can cause severe reactions and long term health hazards.
Chemical free and natural, organic products offer earth friendly options that eliminate these dangers. You can avoid these and similar safely concerns by using only certified organic products formulated from natural sources such as plants, fruits, vegetables and flowers. These products to do not contain synthetic chemicals such as lauryl sulphate, phthales, parabens, artificial fragrances or dyes.
Organic Textiles
By the end of 2008, the sale of organic textiles worldwide is expected to exceed $3 billion indicating that global demand for organic textiles is increasing in response to consumer demand. Organic production takes more time, requires more skills and knowledge, and at least for now, costs somewhat more. But it is worth it as organic materials do not contain any hidden costs to the environment.
Choose Earth Friendly Products! Choose Organic!
The consumption and use of green technologies is all about the challenges and choices we face if we are to enjoy a high quality of life within the limited resources of our world. If we become passionate about sustainability, together we can make the planet a cleaner and healthier place for all of us to live.
Do you wish to embrace a lifestyle that protects our children’s future? Do you want to to live in the greenest environment possible with a conscience and respect and appreciation for the earth? The quality of life for future generations is dependent on the choices we make today!
Surveys reflect that about a fourth of the US adult population has a profound sense of environmental enlightenment and social responsibility. Almost half of us will buy organic and make earth friendly choices in many aspects of our daily living. Consumer education and awareness is a powerful force for change.
The consumption of organically grown products has increase by 20 per cent in the last year alone. Organic alternatives are readily available and the trend is escalating. Sustainability should be within everyone’s reach. Our choices matter and have a long term global impact. Let’s Choose wisely!

So what’s the best way to generate traffic?
Everybody seems to have an opinion on the subject. Everywhere you turn there is another “Startling Discovery” of how to drive millions of visitors your way.
For only $100 you can have 100,000 visitors sent your way…
But the question is…what kind of traffic do you want?
Do you want visitors who just pop-in and pop right out? Or are you looking to attract targeted hungry customers and buyers for your products and services?
Well, if you’re serious about making money, you want real visitors who are ready and willing to buy your products and services.
You’re simply not going to get this kind of visitors by joining the hot “traffic generation” technique of the month.
There always seems to be a NEW thing that everybody jumps on…and you see published in a majority of ezines. People will jump on it this month, tire of it, and then be on to something new next month.
I’ve been doing this business for 7 years now and although things do change quick, I’m still using many of the exact same strategies I did way back when I started.
Some of those techniques are the ones I want to share with you today. These are the techniques which have worked for years, and will continue to work for years to come.
They are not fly-by-night opportunities. They are real…and they can and will generate traffic for you TODAY and for years to come.
They may not be exciting, but they work! And that’s the point of this business. Who cares what’s the most exciting and most talked about? We only care about what earns our business the most profits.
Traffic Method #1 – Joint Ventures
You have a product. You find people who already have the hungry customers you’re seeking.
The most common form of joint venture online is the affiliate program. You set-up the software and you can instantly handle thousands of affiliates selling your products and services for you.
You’ll find that a large number of the people who teach Internet marketing use their affiliate programs as their primary selling tool.
Simply find large ezines or high traffic web sites in your niche market and partner with them.
Offer them a percentage of the profits varying anywhere from 10% to 75% of the selling price. It’s absolutely no risk to you whatsoever, because you don’t spend a penny on marketing until a sale is made.
A good program to use for your affiliate program is here:
Traffic Method #2 – Pay-per-click Search Engines
You don’t pay for traffic with these search engines unless their visitors click on and visit your web site. So you’re paying for real guaranteed highly qualified visitors to your web site.
The ones I like best are:
The key to using PPC search engines effectively is coming up with hundreds or even thousands of possible keywords. You’re looking for keywords which have decent traffic but very low bids.
You don’t want to be spending $1 or more per visitor if you haven’t tested your web site to produce that kind of income already. So you have to avoid the most popular keywords and find a lot of less used ones.
A great tool for finding keywords fast has recently been developed by one of my coaching clients. It’s awesome. Check it out here:
Traffic Method #3 – Content Web Sites
The poor content web site has been attacked, made fun of, and ignored for years. A content web site is one with lots of content on it including: ebooks, articles, and even a discussion board.
This is the exact opposite type of site from a mini-site. A mini-site is a web site with only a page or two and focuses just on a sales letter. A customer either buys or doesn’t buy. No other choices are offered to them.
The majority of my web sites are designed in this fashion. They are mini-sites and all they contain are a sales letter and order form.
Content sites have a place. They can be used to draw traffic and visitors. People will link to a content site. Search engines will index a content site much easier than they will a sales letter.
All this traffic can be produced for free (although you will do a lot of work to produce the content).
Then you can get these visitors to sign up for an email newsletter OR drive them to your mini-site sales letters. The content site is never the purpose of your business. It is just a traffic generating mechanism that you use to push visitors to your sales letters.
Bonus Traffic Method – Offline Advertising
Print media has been taking a major hit in recent years from a loss of advertising revenue. Advertising in printed publications and through direct mail just isn’t as popular anymore because they weren’t as exciting as the Internet.
That’s changing.
Webmasters are finding out that they can drive qualified buyers to their web sites using offline advertising. And those visitors captured offline are worth much more than their average online surfer.
They’re also discovering that sending postcards and direct mail pieces to their online buyers is resulting in significantly more sales than simply email follow-up alone.
So you make money offline…by driving offline visitors online…and then contacting online buyers offline.

Today’s small business owner has many avenues to get the word out about their product. Tried and true techniques like utilizing color printing for targeted direct mail campaigns are still quite popular.
However, many opportunities formerly only available to large businesses are often now within the reach of a small business owner. A salient example is television advertising.
Formerly, the expense of advertising on television proved prohibitive for the small business owner. However, today there has emerged a new era of services, which match up advertisers with last minute unfilled time slots. You probably will not get prime time exposure on a popular show; however, the amount of eyeballs you can reach is still significant. The cost of some unsold time can make ROI on these spots quite attractive.
Many small business owners choose to star in their own commercials. Sometimes this is out of ego while other times it is driven by a pure passion to spread the word about their product. When going to produce a television ad it behooves a small business owner to avoid mistakes made myriad times in the past by their peers. Visual ads have great impact upon your branding effort. A bad commercial can cause harm to your brand as opposed to promoting it.
Stunts are not advised. Hanging out of an office window or jumping over a flaming pit is not images befitting of a business owner. Many mistakenly believe that shock value or some such stunt will attract attention. It very well may attract attention; however, it is not of the sort you desire.
Avoid dressing up in costumes or other strange garb. Many business owners seek to assume an alternate persona for their advertising image. It is best just to be yourself. Many seek costumes or other facades because they are not comfortable being themselves on camera. If this is the case, then you are best served not personally appearing and letting the work be done by professional actors.
Owners should similarly avoid singing. Unless you possess rare talent, the result of this strategy is usually the annoyance of your audience. Depending on how bad you actually are it could result in the remote being deployed and your commercial immediately muted.
Shouting should also be avoided at all costs. One successful shouting campaign many years ago has led to myriad failing attempts to copy it. As indicated before, it is best to be yourself. Unless you shout constantly like a crazy person then do not assume that persona on television.
Stay away from bashing the competition. Let the merits of your product speak instead. If you were advertising color printing services, then use examples and maybe testimonials from satisfied customers. Do not harp on how the other color printing business in town misses deadlines. In the end, it will create a negative impression of your brand.
Much of television advertising can be managed by common sense. Be entertaining but do not go over the top. Maintain a demeanor, which your brand deserves. This powerful avenue of advertising can go a long ways in solidifying your brand. However, if done incorrectly it can backfire thus hurting your brand and image.

HyperQuality Inc. raised $10 million in a Series B round of financing led by Ignition Partners of Bellevue, Wash., to support growth of outsourced Call-Center monitoring services and take the Company to profitability by the end of this year.
Including first-round investors Miramar Venture Partners of Corona del Mar, Calif., Rustic Canyon Partners of Santa Monica, Calif., and Seattle-based Divergent Ventures LLC, the round brings total equity investment in the Four-year old Company to $15.5 Million.
The new capital will allow Seattle-based HyperQuality to boost capacity at its Haryana, India, fulfillment facility, which currently has 450 Employees, and to expand the Company’s U.S. Marketing efforts as it targets Fortune 1000 companies.
HyperQuality Chief Financial Officer Carol Criner said the Company began fundraising for the current round in August, and narrowed its focus rather quickly before closing the round Dec. 12. She said HyperQuality considered bringing in an East Coast or European investor to broaden regional business contacts, but in the end opted to take on local investor Ignition Partners to take advantage of more hands-on business and technology expertise.
The deal puts a post-money valuation of $34 Million on the Company, up 50% from HyperQuality’s $5.5 Million Series.
A round of June 2005, and is positioned as the Company’s final private round. HyperQuality monitors Telephone, E-mail and chat interactions for Customers including AOL LLC, Allconnect, Carlson Leisure Travel Services, Covad Communications, Lillian Vernon Corp. and Time Warner Cable Inc., which use its services to improve performance of more than 35,600 Agents from 136 Call Centers. CEO Howard Lee said the new funding will give the Company resources not only to augment the level of service it provides, but to introduce products and technology that will have an impact on the industry for years to come.
Michael Song, a partner with Rustic Canyon, said HyperQuality had built its core technology and established a handful of early Customers by the time of the first investment round, but that the latest round reflects its success in building its outsourced model. He said Rustic Canyon had experience with offshore outsourcing from its investment in now publicly- traded PeopleSupport Inc. of Los Angeles, and had been looking at technology in the quality assurance area.
“Quality metrics are increasingly important with outsourcing, particularly offshore, and we weren’t seeing that it was being addressed,” Song said. “They had a very good business model with a core technology and strong analytical tools and a couple of Customers, but between then and now they have tripled revenues and banked a lot of big Customers.” (Rustic Canyon is an investor in The Deal LLC).
Jon Roberts, founder of Ignition, said that Call Centers are becoming more important to Companies’ core mission and that he believes HyperQuality is a leader in quality assurance and poised for significant short- and long-term growth.” Criner said that in addition to adding Employees to handle increased business volume, HyperQuality is developing technology for greater automation of call monitoring. She said the Company expects to add voice recognition software and other technology to help identify calls for emotion detection and assurance that key phrases and certain attributes of clients’ particular business are addressed in each call.
HyperQuality did not use an outside financial adviser in putting the round together, and called on the legal services of David Clark of Perkins Coie LLP in Seattle.
Craig Sherman of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati PC in Seattle represented the investors.

Hyundai’s fuel-efficient car Accent, which offers fuel mileage of up to 35 miles per gallon on the highway, is named the most dependable sub-compact car by J.D. Power and Associates in its 2008 Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS).
The VDS is one of three J.D. Power and Associates quality studies. This study measures problem symptoms of three-year-old vehicles primarily in categories such as ride, handling, braking, temperate controls, seats, engine performance, driving dynamics and interior and exterior durability. This highly regarded study is done by taking into account the problems experienced by original owners of three-year-old (2005 model year) vehicles. The study is based on the responses of more than 52,000 owners of new vehicles purchased during November 2004 and April 2005.
2005 Hyundai Accent earns highest rankings in this dependability study. The Accent scores registered only 187 problems per 100 cars, a more than 20 percent improvement over 2007 results. This improvement was mostly accounted for by measured improvements in the engine, climate controls and seating categories. And Hyundai on the whole made dramatic improvements in its overall dependability scores:
The study shows that the number of problems per 100 vehicles over the entire product lineup dropped 28 points to 200, showing a 14 percent improvement over 2007, almost tripling the industry average improvement of 10 points.
In the “non-premium” segment, Hyundai goes up from 13th place to sixth place.
Hyundai’s score placed it 13th among the 38 nameplates measured in the study and placed it ahead of the industry average for the first time. Each product in the Hyundai product portfolio has improved over last year.
This year’s Vehicle Dependability Study demonstrates Hyundai’s continued dedication in offering higher levels of quality and improved long-term dependability. It can be said that Hyundai has reached a top tier of only a small number of brands that are above industry average in both initial quality and dependability.
