Gallstones are hard, pebble-like deposits that form inside the gallbladder. Gallstones may be as small as a grain of sand or as large as a golf ball, depending on how long they have been forming.
Causes, incidence, and risk factors
Most people who have gallstones never experience any symptoms. They might never even know they have gallstones. However, a gallstone can leave your gallbladder and go into the passageway from your gallbladder to your intestine. If a gallstone gets stuck in that passageway and blocks it completely, you will have severe pain in the right upper part of your belly. You may also feel pain in your upper back. The pain usually starts suddenly and lasts for several hours. This is known as a gallbladder attack.
There is no single cause of gallstones. In some people, the liver produces too much cholesterol. This can result in the formation of cholesterol crystals in bile which grow into stones. In other people, gallstones form because of changes in other components of bile or because the gallbladder fails to empty normally.
Symptoms of Gallstones
About 90% of gallstones provoke no symptoms at all. If problems do develop, the chance of developing pain is about 2% per year for the first 10 years after stone formation. After this, the chance for developing symptoms declines. On average, symptoms take about 8 years to develop. The reason for the decline in incidence after 10 years is not known, although some doctors suggest that “younger,” smaller stones may be more likely to cause symptoms than larger, older ones.
Gallstones are the most common gall-bladder problem, capable of causing *colics and *jaundice. Stones in the gall-bladder usually go undetected for a long time, but once a larger stone passing through the global bile duct becomes lodged, it can cause intense *pain, appearing as a sharp *cramp just under the right ribcage, which recurs and subsides. In some cases, the pain will shoot into the right shoulder or back often there is accompanying *nausea and *fever with chills.
Diagnosing Gallstones
When symptoms seem to indicate a gallstone, your doctor may suggest an ultrasound of the abdomen. A technician will pass a handheld device that emits sound waves over the abdomen. Sound waves bounce off organs and other solid masses, revealing the presence of gallstones.
Treatment of Gallstones
Gallstones are normally treated by surgically removing your gall bladder in a procedure known as a cholecystectomy. The procedure uses minimally invasive surgery that is sometimes known as ‘keyhole’ surgery due to the small size of the incision that is made .
There are various forms of non-surgical treatment available, one of which is the use of oral medication to dissolve gallstones. However, this treatment is only effective in the treatment of small, non-calcified gallstones and they have to be cholesterol gallstones. It is used only in rare circumstances such as in people for whom surgery is not an option. With oral dissolution therapy, medication is taken by mouth to reduce the amount of cholesterol in the bile and to gradually dissolve cholesterol-containing stones. This form of treatment does not offer a particularly effective solution, as less than 50 per cent of stones are dissolved, and 50 per cent of these commonly recur after the medication has been stopped. It can take months to years for the stones to dissolve.

A company can’t use the exact same marketing strategies day after day and still manage to stay on top of things. If you aren’t keeping things new and if you aren’t being sure to add variety to your marketing you might find your message getting stale, and your customers drifting away to other companies.
People want to have something new and they want to see something they never have before. You just can’t use the same message forever. The same goes for the way you deliver that message to people. If you’ve been using nothing but brochure for two years or more than you might find people losing interest in you because they want to see something different.
It’s always best to add variety to your marketing anyways because it helps to make sure that you’re grabbing the attention of as many people as possible. Some people just aren’t going to have interest in reading through a long brochure, but if you hand them a postcard you’ll immediately be able to grab their eye.
Something to watch out for though is what you’re doing when you’re changing your marketing around. If you decided to go for something new you’re going to need more time to get things ready because you aren’t as acquainted with that particular marketing style.
One thing you can do to make sure that you still keep a strong presence in the marketplace is by having other smaller methods of marketing you can still make good use of while you’re changing around your larger marketing campaigns.
Take something like folder printing for an example. Folders with your company name and logo on them aren’t exactly the most active forms of marketing. They’re good at getting your brand name out there, but little else. Sometimes that’s all you need to do. If your company is already established than the main thing you might need to do is maintain a strong presence in the marketplace.
Of course, folder printing alone won’t accomplish that, but it can hold you over while you’re working on other larger things. Make sure you keep a steady supply of them on hand for just such occasions so that you won’t have your name dropping off the market while you’re working on new things.
There are other smaller methods of marketing to consider as well, and my point isn’t to name them all. What I’m trying to point out is that you can still keep your name out there if you have a few basic, cost effective forms of promoting yourself.
These won’t always be major forms of marketing, but they can still be plenty useful for when moments like this. You might not have a lot of active marketing out there during your transitional period, but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep up a strong passive marketing presence.

One of the oldest baseball franchises, with 125 years of existence, the Philadelphia Phillies could make history once again by winning their second World Series title, 28 years after winning their first one. The Phillies captured their 6th pennant of the National League this year by beating the LA Dodgers 4-1 in the National League Championship Series.
The Phillies have turn around their history this year as they have been the team that has struggle the most in the Major League by winning only one World Series in 126 seasons and being the team with the most lost games in the league history. But this season 2008 the Phillies have managed to achieve amazing things including beating one of the most remarkable teams in the league, the LA Dodgers, in the NL final and getting very close to become the new World Series Champions. However, they still have to beat the Tampa Bay Rays one more time to get the crown.
The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Tampa Bay Rays with an outstanding score of 10-2 in game 4 this past Sunday at Phillies’ home, the Citizens Bank Park. Philadelphia started strong since the beginning of the first inning and had 3 home runs in the game, something peculiar in a World Series finale. The Phillies starting pitcher Joe Blanton became the first pitcher to hit a home run in the World Series in 34 years. As well, Ryan Howard was incredible at the plate by hitting two home runs, one in the fourth inning for a three-run shot and then in the 8th inning for a two-run blow up.
“To be able to have two home runs in a World Series, I think that’s the kind of stuff you dream of when you are a teenager. Obviously you want to win also. But being able to do something like that and to help my team win, it’s a great feeling,” expressed the Phillies first base Ryan Howard.
This loss was different for the Rays because in the prior games the gap between the two teams was not as wide as this time. The pitching in the Rays was poor, even from his starter pitcher Andy Sonnanstine, who only played the first four innings. Also, two of Philadelphia’s runs were leaded by two fatal errors at defense by the second baseman Akinori Iwamura.
Now the Tampa Bay Rays is in hands of his manager Joe Maddon and will try to extend the Series to a Game 6 by winning Game 5 at Philadelphia. But the Rays will have to remember that the Phillies will begin their game with his starting pitcher Cole Hamels, who has not lost yet in the post-season and who could want to wrap up his 5th win and let the team to their second crown of the franchise history.
For the Rays, Scott Kazmir will be pitching looking for retaliation against Cole Hamels. Both pitchers faced themselves in the inaugural game of the World Series and Hamels was the winner of that game. We hope to see great baseball and excitement for the remaining of the World Series and to be witness of which of the teams will be the one to make history this year at the MLB.

Faith is the most powerful of the emotions a human being experiences. Applied faith is the quickest and most definite way to move our lives toward what we desire. Although I believe the best working definition of faith is found in Hebrews chapter 11, verse 1 of the Bible, I do not wish to necessarily infer a religious connotation. Faith, as referred to in this article, works equally for all.
The Biblical definition of faith is: FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN. I believe conclusions reached by many researchers in the field of Quantum Physics support this definition. While researching atoms, the building blocks of the Universe, these scientists have concluded that even though more and more particles are being discovered that are smaller that the atom, all of these particles are energy (including the atoms themselves. Everything in the physical world is made of energy.
Energy then is the very SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR. THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN consists of the images of the things you desire that you carry around in your mind. These images in your mind are unseen to everyone else until they are manifested in the physical world.
Most of us think of faith as a strong belief. It is much more than that, for even a strong belief is at times susceptible to being challenged by the self image. Faith is more of a law than a belief. As you may recall, a law, like the law of gravity, works automatically and unconditionally. For a belief to become faith means that the belief is so complete in your inner consciousness that your mind (thus the self image) no longer rejects it.
Anything that you desire to be, do or have must be attracted to you if you use the filter of faith through which you sustain focus on your desire. The mental images on which you focus (through faith), in your own mind, are the blueprints that the Universe uses to create your desires for you.
Here is more good news for you. Napoleon Hill states in his book Think And Grow Rich that faith is a state of mind which you may develop at will. He goes on to say: REPETITION OF AFFIRMATION OF ORDERS TO YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND IS THE ONLY KNOWN METHOD OF VOLUNTARY DEVELOPMENT OF THE EMOTION OF FAITH.
From this day forward, never look upon yourself as a person without power over your life. Never again allow yourself to think that life happens to you. You have everything you need right now for mastering the power of the mind, developing your faith, and for directing life, through the great Law of Attraction, to bring you what you desire.
This I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

Many business owners fret every time they turn over their brochure printing project to get printed. They worry about whether they designed the brochure right, or whether they used enough images. They are concerned about how the pictures and fonts will look on the finished products.
Well, I can’t promise that I will completely eliminate the fears you may have about your brochures, but if you follow the tips that follow, your level of worry should be reduced somewhat. If you consistently apply these techniques with all of the brochures that you design, you will find what works best for you. Eventually, you may not have to worry about your brochures at all, because you will be too busy counting your money.
Search for Good Art and Pictures
Do not settle for poor quality pictures on your brochures. It is surprisingly easy to find very impressive clip art and stock photos on the internet. Simply do a search, and look around until you find the types of art that you are looking for. If you spend a little time on it, you should have no problem getting some top notch photos for your brochures.
Accentuate Your Positives
Design your brochures so that your most important – and intriguing – points stand out. Your primary selling point should be distinguished from the rest of you brochure by using bold print or a different color scheme. It should usually be printed in larger text than the rest of your brochure.
Be Consistent
Although variety is an important element in brochure design, be careful not to overdo it. Certain elements should be used consistently in your design. For instance, if you use bullets, use the same type of bullet throughout the brochure. Keep your colors within a reasonable spectrum; do not use a rainbow of colors on one brochure, unless that explicitly gets your point across.
Make it Easy to Read
Your goal is to make it easy for your customers to take advantage of what you have to offer. Don’t make it difficult by incorporating things that inhibit the customer. For instance, use easily readable fonts that can be read from a moderate distance. Keep all of your captions close to the pictures that they describe. Have all of your brochure elements flow in a smooth and aesthetically pleasing fashion.
Stay Within Yourself
Along the same lines, it is important to avoid getting complicated. Your readers want to see a simple, straightforward brochure that tells them what they need to know. There is no reason to get complicated and risk losing a customer. Use a narrow spectrum of colors, easily readable fonts, simple structural designs, and noticeable headings and subheadings. When it comes to brochures, simplicity is key.

So you have a rocking cool church website. You just recently redesigned it but what’s next?
Having a website is not enough. You need to make your church website not just another one of million others on the world wide web. Your goal is to make it an effective online ministry.
First step of course is to get your church website visible on the search engines based on the keywords that you believe your “prospects” will use in order to find you. Assuming this has been accomplished, how do you encourage your visitors to keep coming back to your website?
Here are some tips:
1. Regularly update your content.
Nothing can be more disappointing for a visitor than to go back to a church website only to find the same content from 3 or 6 months ago. Add new content even if it’s just the news and events section. If you have a flash slideshow, add 2 or 3 different photos every week. There are a lot of websites that offer free stock photos. If you have a blog, post an article once a week. Designers should always know what colors are popular – and which are about to become popular. Color permeates every aspect of a designer’s life. Every brochure, logo, and website that a designer works on must have the right colors, used in the right ways. Without a firm knowledge of the current trends in color, a designer can quickly be placed on the back burner of the design world.
And because color trends can change so rapidly, it is important to investigate them often. Colors that were popular at the beginning of the year may not hold that status by July. Here is a look at some of the colors that are gaining in popularity as we hit the half way point of 2008:
Greens
It is no coincidence that, as people become increasingly aware of human effects upon the planet, the color green also becomes more popular. Green has long been used as a subtle color, often relegated to the background.
But greens are becoming used in bold ways more often. Yes, green represents the growing environmental trends, but it is a very versatile color as well. It is perfect in living spaces, due to its subtle properties and the fact that it is easy on the eyes.
Black and White

Antique Colors
Another sign of a “retro” trend taking shape is the increasing popularity of traditional colors. Colors that hearken back to the days before computers and digitally enhanced designs are becoming more and more in demand.
The colors that have enjoyed the greatest resurgence in this vein include deep reds, warm browns, pumpkin oranges, and deep hued blues. Think of old fashioned tapestry, and you will have a good idea of what colors are involved here.
Mid Tone Hues

To compose an ebook or just about anything from a letter to an article the first few lines always seem to be the most difficult. Commonly referred to as writers block, this can be overcome if we break down the overall task into smaller more manageable components that can be approached, planned, and completed separately.
1. Determine Your Title – Since you already know the topic you want to write about, this part shouldn’t be difficult. Come up with multiple titles and mull them over. You’ll want it to reflect the contents of the book itself upon completion.
2. Determine the Objective – Why are you writing the book and again to what type of audience. Establishing this ahead of time is important and will keep you ‘on point’ while you’re writing. Be sure all the chapters in your book support your objectives. Be sure your content is useful material to the reader that will answer questions they may have. Make your writing style interesting and intriguing to keep the readers attention.
3. Determine you’re Targeted Audience – Once you’ve establish this it will help to determine the tone of your delivery throughout the book. For example if your subject matter is humorous then a lighthearted approach in your writing will be appropriate. If a more serious topic, then no nonsense style of writing.
4. List Your Personal Objectives – Are you writing the book to:
a) sell it
b) gives away for free
c) to drive traffic to a website
d) or maybe break it up into a series for an e-course or auto-responder?
Determining what your intentions are ahead of time will make your writing efforts all the more easier.
5. Determine the Formatting – You’ll want to keep each chapter formatted consistently. It gives a more organized feel to the entire book. Do you want to start each chapter with a summary of the chapter contents or perhaps start with an insightful comment or quotation appropriate to the material being covered?
6. Engage you’re Reader – According to the subject matter and the targeted reader you’ll want to select various ways to keep them involved in the book. Use graphics, personal stories, testimonies, anecdotes, humor, or similar methods to keep the reader engaged in the material.
7. Establish Your Schedule – Determining how much time (hours) or productivity (pages written) you will devote on a daily basis. This will take the pressure off you.
8. Determine an Easy to Read Layout – No fonts too small or too bold. Insure adequate spacing between the lines. Simple black text and a white background will do.
9. Create Your Bio – A little information here about you, your interest perhaps, your business background, your reasons for composing this eBook and any necessary indexing to reference your work and its origin goes here.
Now you know what it takes to compose an ebook. By dividing the project into smaller multiple tasks such as we have done here makes it more manageable and less intimidating for you. Also it allows you to pay closer attention to certain details you may have overlooked if you didn’t organize your work ahead of time. It’s all in the preparation.

You May Think That When A Kitty purrs, it’s happy. Not necessarily so, say the authors of a new book on cats.
Cats. Even since the ancient Egyptians domesticated them mankind has been captivated by these proud felines. Yet their behavior will perplexes many people.
Enter Dr. Marry Becker, resident veterinarian on US television show Good Morning America, and Gina Spadafori, a pet columnist. Their book – Do Cats Always Land on their Feet? – is the latest attempt to fathom these intriguing pets.
Following are some excerpts from the book.
Do Cats Purr Only They’re Happy ?
Expert cat observers know that purring isn’t just a sound of contentment. Cats also purr when they’re injured, while giving birth – even when they’re dying.
Purring has been described as something a cat does when he’s with a friend or need a friend is happy or is in pain. It seem to be a sound that both conveys and creates comfort.
Here are several more interesting facts about purring .
+ While all the smaller cats, including servals and ocelots, purr, some of the big cats can’t Lions and tigers can roar and rumble, but they can’t purr on the inhale and the exhale the way a little cat can.
Little cats purr, but they can’t roar. We think the little guys got the better part of the deal.
+ No one can completely explain the mechanics of a cat’s purr. It remains a scientific mystery. Best guess the sound is caused by the passing of air over structure in a cat’s voice box.
+ A purring cat can lower human blood pressure and relaxes both the cat and the person petting him. There is even some evidence that purring can help speed the healing process in cats.
Do Cats Always Land On Their Feet ?
Not always but they’ll sure try. Cats are the perfect small predator, just as comfortable stalking a squirrel from tree to tree as they are chasing a wiggly piece of ribbon across the carpet.
They’ve evolved with some nifty high-rise survival skills, including the ability to grab onto a branch with retractable crampons if they lose their footing. And if that doesn’t work they have that awe-inspiring ability to right themselves in midair so they can stick a perfect four point landing.
This nifty feat would put any human Olympic gymnast to shame. A falling cat will instinctively try to right himself from head to tail, first rotating his head into the proper position (to sport the ground) and then sequentially spiraling the rest of his body so all his feet are oriented to the ground.
As the body gains the right position, the cat will spread his legs in a sort of flying squirrel fashion and relax his muscles in anticipation of landing. Spreading the impact over four points is considerably better than hitting on one, and a cat’s cushy joints enable him to absorb a lot more impact than we mere humans can.
A cat’s ability to rotate in midair isn’t a fool-proof strategy for surviving the perils of modern living, however. Veterinarians have long noted and studied what’s called high-rise syndrome-the tendency cats have of being better able to survive falls from greater heights than lower ones.
The most dangerous falls are from between two and six storeys. Amazingly enough a few urban cats have survived falls of up to 30 storeys, albeit with severe injuries – broken legs and jaws, and collapsed lungs.
The difference may well be in the cat’s ability to set himself up for the best possible landing, in the way that all cats have been doing for generations.
You see, that ‘rotate and relax’ manoeuvre takes time to implement. From the lower floors, it’s thought a cat hasn’t enough time to prepare himself for impact by getting himself in a proper landing position. From the highest floors, the fall’s too great to survive. In between, however is a margin of survivability for the cat who lands on his feet.

Something I’ve stated before, and still gladly stand by, is the need to plan ahead.
Making a strong piece of marketing just takes a certain amount of time. You can’t plan out, design, and print a brochure in a day or two. The best brochures are going to require quite a bit of research ahead of time, strong design work, and a real investment in commercial printing to get the most from your money.
But there’s the problem with focusing only on further marketing pushes: you never know what’s going to come up. Sometimes you just suddenly need some brochures that you weren’t expecting to. Maybe a tradeshow opportunity comes up and you aren’t prepared for it. You suddenly need a lot of marketing material or else you lose out on some good chances to push your company name.
So what do you do?
You plan for the things you can’t plan for. How do you accomplish that?
Here’s the thing about commercial printing. The larger your order is the cheaper your overall cost per unit becomes. This provides you with a good opportunity for those willing to take advantage of it.
Let’s say you have a planned marketing push coming up with flyers. You know you need to print off a certain amount of flyers for this, and so you plan your marketing accordingly.
But what you can also do is expand that order just a little. Add in a very more pieces of marketing material than you were planning to get, and save those extras for the occasions when you need something on the spur of the moment.
These kinds of situations come up all the time. I would hope that anyone who has been in the marketing game for long enough would be well aware of the fact that sometimes you just don’t have much time to plan. This is when you need to dig into those extra copies.
This is how you end up planning ahead for things you don’t know are going to happen. And yes, you’ll will have a certain amount of copies of flyers or brochures that you just never make use of. This is why it’s best to tack on your extra copies to a commercial printing order you were already planning to get done.
The price of each of them will be so cheap you aren’t losing much of any money, and the circumstances that do come up where you can make use of them will help your sales enough to make up for the copies that you never ended up using.
A large part of marketing is being prepared for when opportunity comes along. If you’re trying to shape all of your marketing into something you have complete control over, you’ll find yourself missing great opportunities because you weren’t looking for them.

If I was a betting man, I’d place a hefty wager on the fact that when any of he pop stars that rule and charts today kick the bucket, there would be little brouhaha other than perhaps a smallish obituary in the showbiz pages.
Luckily I’ m not, but as harsh as it may sound, today’s pop stars are a largely forgettable lot, and few will be remembered 50 years from today. However, when I heard of Richard ‘Rick’ Wright’s recent death, it seemed as if an era of popular music was coming to an end.
Wright, a musician most renowned for his association with progressive rock giants Pink Floyd, was a quiet individual quite different from his rock star contemporaries. That seemed true both in his on and offstage persons.
Though Floyd was dominated by front-men Roger Waters and David Gilmour and their rock star-sized egos, Rick Wright’s role in shaping Pink Floyd cannot be understated. He was a founder member of the band and was part of the original line-up, featuring the eccentric and perhaps overrated genius of the late Syd Barrett.
Wright’s Principal instruments remained by keyboards and synthesizers, while he also occasionally contributed vocals as well as to the band’s song-writing. And for those with even a surface knowledge of the Pink Floyd sound, it is crystal clear that Wright’s synth lines were a distinctive feature of songs that will go down in history as milestones of popular music.
Rick Wright’s playing was clean and methodical, though not mechanical, and detached of the flamboyance, of his contemporary musician, synth player Rick Wakeman – a prodigiously talented man – of Yes. It set the stage for Waters’ legendary lyrics as well as Gilmour’s voice and ace guitar playing and Nick Mason’s percussion to weave pure magic on tape.
Some of his most memorable moments came on tracks like the protoindustrial Welcome to the Machine, from 1975’s landmark record Wish You Were Here, with its disturbing drones that painted a bleak, Orwellian picture. The textures structure of Shine of you Crazy Diamond – all parts – was again anchored by Wright’s Keys, and his solos remain memorable.
But perhaps his defining moments came earlier, on 1973’s Dark Side of the Moon. Wright shared lead vocals on the epic Time with Gilmour, while he co-wrote another classic from the legendary album, Us and Them, remembered for its resonant saxophone solo as well as a beautiful piano solo by Wright.
He was eased out of Pink Floyd during recording sessions for the band’s iconic album. The Wall in 1979, mainly due to differences with Roger, Waters and was humiliatingly reduced to the status of a sessions musician during the album’s subsequent tour. This is the cruel, cruel reality of rock star politics.
Wright re-entered the Floydian fold in the late eighties after Waters spilt with the band and Gilmour, Mason and co. started playing under the Pink Floyd moniker.
He also released two solo efforts – 1978’s Wet Dream and 1996’s Broken China.
Richard Wright left this world on September 15, 2008, aged 65 at his home in the United Kingdom. He will be remembered by Floyd fans and aficionados of popular music as a man who contributed to one of the seminal bands of modern popular music – a rock royalty which includes such names as Black Sabbath, Rush, the Clash and various others. Rick Wright helped make Pink Floyd, a band with few parallels in modern music.

There is a deep shock to the entire body when a Foreclosure Notice is delivered to a homeowner.
Body and psyche is hit like a blow from a sledgehammer.
The mind goes numb. The mouth goes dry. The stomach tenses as the juices flow.
The adrenaline gland starts pumping, a cold sweat breaks out, and the brain ceases to operate in a functional way.

A couple of the severed heads of nearby leaders that were smashed are impaled on the spikes of their banners.
Stories of their immense cruelty and burning and raping and pillaging and stealing and torturing are all too real.
The people feel the stranglehold of an icy fist closing around their throats as they gasp for air thinking of the consequences of all this activity.
Fear grips the family.
Mother and Father Start arguing and fighting over whose fault it is that this tragedy has befallen them and what they should do.
The children feel their parent’s helplessness and even start to think that it is their fault that they are going to lose their home.
Pictures of the sheriff ordering them to put their furniture on the pavement and vacate their home become all too real.
Clear thought and sanity very quickly leave as the shock and embarrassment hits home.
Like a punch drunk boxer, the head of the family reels from pillar to post seeking to understand the situation and formulate answers and strategies.
He feels totally powerless as he goes to the mailbox and is greeted with a million rip off artists who are wringing their hands with glee as they send sickly silly suggestions to remedy what looks like a totally lost and hopeless situation.
Among their suggestions, Go to the perpetrator of the crime and ask for clemency and a change of the terms!
What a sick joke.
It is like asking Judas Iscariot how to get to heaven.
This scene is not too far fetched in the realm of Foreclosure today.
The effect on the victims is exactly the same as the Empire building tactics of the Roman Empire.
The lenders are so clever in the way that they have studied human paralysis in the face of overwhelming odds.
The lied and cheated and broke the law to get the people into the mess that they suddenly find themselves in.
There seems to be no hope.
How can one tiny little family who are totally cash strapped even think clearly of a way to face an overwhelmingly strong opponent as this one.
The problem is indeed an immense one.
When the home and hearth are at stake, it is the women who take the brunt of the load.
It is like a hot burning knife that slowly sinks into the very core of their being.
Their safety and security is being endangered and threatened by the evil specter of Foreclosure.
All the moves leading up to the theft of the actual properties have been meticulously thought through by the lawyers and schemers employed by the banks and lenders.
Everything is so finely crafted to make the debtor look guilty and stupid.
From the embarrassing mess of his credit report to the refusal to take any money to rectify the arrears are all clever and despicable evils used to ultimately steal the properties from the people.
This is what is happening around us today.
Make the first move the smartest move.
Purpose it in your heart to take the correct approach to facing foreclosure.
Go to a person who has been there, done that and speaks to you from first hand experience and wants to help you.

Each year millions of people around the world purchase inspirational, self-help books, programs, CDs, and DVDs. Thousands of them pay hundreds or thousands of dollars to attend lectures, speeches, boot camps, and seminars. It has been estimated by some sources that personal development is a 2.5 billion dollar industry. This certainly indicates that a large segment of the population of the world, perhaps you included, recognize the need and even hunger to gain greater control of the mind in order to experience life outcomes that are more in line with what we desire.
Yet only a relatively few people succeed in their quest. How can that be? I believe people really do want to improve. I believe you want to improve. Information and instructions on mastering your mind power from master teachers in the self-help field are readily available, much of it for free.
For modern generations, the preeminent self-help book is Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Mr. Hill identified 13 principles of success. Many if not most succeeding authors present some form of those principles. I am sure that people who attend lectures and seminars absorb as much as they can from the lessons.
The question I ask myself is just how much new information and instructions do the attendees allow to reach the subconscious levels of their minds? If the information that can help you re-direct your focus to consistent thoughts, ideas, and mental images that are aligned with your desires is not internalized, desirable outcomes will never materialize.
I am reminded of a statement made by a person who was about to embark on an attempt to row a boat around the world some years ago. A news person asked him if he was fearful that his relatively small boat could easily be sunk by the vast stretches of water. His response was that all of the water in all of the oceans of the world can not sink even the smallest row boat…unless it somehow gets inside, and it was his intent to keep water from getting inside his boat.
I believe this analogy highlights why more people are not making significant improvements in their lives. It is because too few new success principles and too little positive information is getting inside. The self image stands as a barrier to the subconscious mind with the intent of not allowing new and different thoughts, ideas, and mental images to get in. Therefore, the information, including success principles, is not being sufficiently internalized to make much of a difference.
Here is what you should know. You possess your mind. Even though you might not be in total control of it right now, it is still your mind; and it is in your sole possession. By consistently bringing the outcomes you wish to experience into your conscious mind, the self image must yield to you and gradually relinquish control of your mind to you.
More and more of the things and circumstances you wish to have and experience must be consciously carried around in your mind each day and night to improve the probability that they will become targets on which you focus and will be accepted and internalized by your subconscious mind.
This I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

A business owner can have different types of exit strategies and one of the most important options, is to sell away your business. Before you begin on the path of selling away your business, it will be good if you start to prepare for it as early as possible.
Selling a business is a pretty long and tedious process. Here’s a science activity for kids that offers basic exposure to density and the law of gravity. It also gives your child an opportunity to engage in the trial and error method of problem solving. It’s very simple and lots of fun.
You’ll be making a miniature version of hot air balloons. Each balloon should take about one minute to make. Your child will love helping to put the hot air balloons together.
Here’s what to do:
Pick up helium balloons from your community party supply store. You’ll need one balloon for each participant.
For the basket part of the hot air balloon, use a paper cup or 12” x 12” felt square. If you use a paper cup, tape three pieces of string to the top of the cup, and then tie the string to the base of the balloon. If you use a felt square, tie each of the four corners and attach those to the base of the balloon. (If you want to go a step further, for a more realistic looking basket cut off the bottom four inches of an empty bag of specialty coffee and rinse it out—the material is perfectly suited for this activity.)
Your living room is the perfect location to get started.
The objective: fill the basket with just enough household items to cause the balloon to hover for ten seconds without touching the ceiling. The items might include marbles, buttons, bottle caps and Q-Tips. Put these items in a bowl for selection. Keep a pair of scissors handy–as your child fine tunes the density it may become necessary to cut a Q-Tip in half.
Consider the following variation: put all the items in a line for selection. Take turns selecting one item until each person has ten. Place items into balloon baskets and launch the balloons. The objective is to have your balloon float slowest to the ceiling. In order to improve results, each person may exchange one of their items for a new item. Re-launch the balloons. Continue the process of exchanging one item after each launch. Keep experimenting until one player causes a balloon to hover for ten seconds.
There are many other variations to this science activity that you can pursue on your own (–for example, log the difference in items used from one day to the next as the balloons lose helium). Regardless of how you go about it, this activity will give your child an opportunity to engage in trial and error problem solving while gaining basic exposure to density and the law of gravity. You may also find it surprisingly adept at bringing out the fidget and tinker nature of parents. Have fun!

Do you remember the fairytale, The Shoemaker and the Elves? Every night the shoemaker and his wife set out their raw materials, and every morning they woke to find the most beautifully crafted shoes. Everything about the shoes exhibited great care and skill. It was always a welcome pleasure for the shoemaker and his wife to behold the shoes and marvel at the exquisite details. Often the wife would make a pot of tea and warm some biscuits, and the elderly couple would have their breakfast while examining the fine workmanship. Many times the morning was nary over before the shoemaker and his wife emerged from their workshop, whistling a tune, or trailing on about comfort or stitching.
Here’s a parent strategy you’ll appreciate: if you want to sleep in on a Saturday mornings, stay up Friday night and be the elves. Arrange your child’s favorite activity-toys on the living room floor. Use exceeding detail. Think in terms of a village or town and spread things out. Children react with more surprise toward large scale display. If playing with Matchbox cars, for example, is one of your child’s favorite activities, then gather all the cars (maybe add a few new ones!) and space them out to simulate travel along a road coming into town. Start in the kitchen or nearby room. Make a tunnel with paperback books. Use blocks or dominoes to make parking lots and park a few cars in each of the lots. Use blocks or Legos, or whatever you have on hand, to make some buildings in the village. Cut out a pond using blue construction paper and place it at the edge of town. Use peanut shells for boats; fill them with Play-Doh and insert a tooth pick with an attached triangle cut-out for the sail. (You might want to tape, not glue the sail to the tooth pick, because later in the day, when your child wants to make fifty million boats, it’ll be easier to tape the sails.) Use Fisher-Price Little People or paper cut-outs to populate the town.
Make sure, when it’s all said and done, that you leave something for your child to do! You might want to place a pile of “rubble”—blocks, dominoes or whatever—near one of the buildings. Or leave one or two of the buildings unfinished. For a little added insurance provide a house friendly sand-box, also on the edge of town. To do this, place different size cups on a baking sheet. Fill one of the cups with sand and leave some measuring spoons next to it. Spread a little sand around the baking sheet so your child gets the idea. Lastly, leave one or two granola bars on a napkin, in plain sight, just so you cover all the bases. Of course if your child’s favorite activity is playing with dolls, for example, then change the theme to correspond with dolls. As a rule of thumb, unless you are supremely talented at this sort of thing, figure on a one to one ratio for results. In other words, for each hour you spend as an elf, you can expect one extra hour of uninterrupted sleep the next morning. Enjoy!

Around the time your child starts talking your ear off, you feel the tectonic shift of parenting start to happen: you go from caring for your child to keeping up with your child. Of course you’re still busy tending to your child’s basic needs. You just have the added duty of keeping up with her. If you are frequently asking yourself, ‘Where is she getting all this energy?’— then it’s happening. The duty of keeping up has arrived.
Once your child has grasped the wonder of speech, everything becomes a topic of discussion, including your effort to manage simple situations. It becomes a chore just to try to make yourself understood, and this chore of quibbling over ‘what’ and ‘why’ can burden you throughout the day. It takes on even more toilsome proportions when your child is bored and restless.
An excellent tool to help you navigate the course of a day more efficiently is ‘the schedule.’ Making a schedule is as much for your benefit as it is for your child’s. It allows you to introduce specific expectations and rewards to bring about greater cooperation from your child.
Making a schedule is different from having a schedule. Having a schedule means that meal times, nap time and bed time, for example, take place at the same interval every day. Having a schedule is an important step in establishing expectations and bringing order to the household. It usually snaps into place through a series of realizations. You realize that if your child does not eat by a certain time, she gets cranky. You realize that if she does not take a nap, she gets over tired. You know that if she’s not in bed by 9:00 at night, she won’t fall asleep for hours (and you won’t have any free time to yourself).
Making a schedule goes a step further than having a schedule. Making a schedule is aimed at restoring enthusiasm and cooperation. It’s written down. It lets your child know that every day is not a willy-nilly festival where anything and everything can happen. It also reassures your child that she can count on fun activities.
One of the most important aspects of a schedule is that it includes things that your child really enjoys. If your child loves to play starlight theater, for example, then put Starlight Theater on the schedule for Tuesday and Friday 7:00 – 7:30 p.m. What does this do for you?
- It takes away your child’s option of nagging you to play this game whenever she feels like it
- It elevates the status of the activity by honoring it with a dependable time slot
- It gives your child something to look forward to
- It increases your ability to ask for cooperation on the day of the activity
- It removes ambiguity about the duration of the activity
- It increases your child’s esteem of the schedule because it acknowledges her favorite activity
The fact that a schedule includes your child’s favorite activities gives you an opportunity to schedule things that are important to you. For instance, schedule in Quiet Time for ten minutes before lunch or after dinner, etc. Be sure to post the schedule in a visible place, such as on the refrigerator. Generate cooperation by referring to the schedule: ‘Ooh, tonight is Cotton Ball Spoon Race—8:00!’ The fact that your child sees a fun activity—in writing—on the schedule reassures her that your full participation is guaranteed. This is motivation for her to honor Quiet Time.
Making a schedule also enables you to establish regular, low key activities like card playing or board games. These activities give you a chance to conserve your energy while your child enjoys your companionship and is engaged in something worthwhile. Schedule these low key activities for times you generally need peace and calm.
You don’t need to map out every hour of every day. Just schedule enough activities to reassure your child that you are committed to fun.
One of the extraordinary benefits of making a schedule is that it has the effect of turning just about anything into a special occasion. From your child’s perspective these special occasions are a source of great motivation. From your perspective these occasions are an easy way to convert ordinary events into stimulating variety. The very fact that the activity is written down generates anticipation. Put down Big Bug Little Bug every third Saturday from 10:15 – 10:45 in the morning, for example. Arm yourselves with magnifying glasses and go observe bugs. Declare each time whether it’s a big bug or little bug you see. This ordinary event will attract your child’s full, enthusiastic participation. Schedule Counting Airplanes (in the sky), Hopscotch, Jacks, Jump Rope or Red Light Green Light and the result will be the same. Making a schedule gives you a powerful resource to create stimulating variety while improving your child’s overall cooperation.

The best marketing is the kind that’s always thinking one step ahead.
This doesn’t mean that you have to always be planning for the future, though I do think this can be an effective thing to do. Instead I’m talking about the idea of always framing what you’re doing by what you plan on doing next.
Here’s a good example. Let’s say that you want to promote a new product that’s going to be coming out soon. So what exactly do you do with your marketing? First you go with shorter messages using posters or postcards to let people know that it’s going to be coming out soon. You get the products name out there without too much detail, because the details aren’t important just yet.
Next you move up to brochures giving those very details. You let people know just a little more, and then just a little more again. Slowly but surely you expand your marketing scope by building upon the information that’s already been released, making sure that everything is connected with what you’ve already done.
You can only accomplish this if you’ve taken the time to plan ahead so you know what you’re going to need.
Doing this leads to a number of different positive impacts. The first is the strength it gives to your overall marketing. Because you’ve connected all of your marketing, and built each marketing push off of the success of the previous one, you’re able to generate a lot more excitement and attention than you normally would. You’re making sure to get the most out of every part of your marketing.
All of your marketing becomes stronger due to the connections between each of them. The success of one form of marketing increases the odds of success with another.
This also lets you save money by getting your commercial printing done in larger orders. Rather than do each marketing campaign separately you can plan out multiple marketing pushes together, and saving on commercial printing by having larger orders. 1.The Leader must aspire for more than what they have!
What is the point of entering the internet marketing scene if you don’t want to improve you standard of living, make life long friends and grow as a person? If you don’t want these 3, then don’t bother. If you don’t have a dream of what you would like your life to be like, get 1! Dreams are the beginnings of success.
2.The leader must have a superior mindset to those that they lead!
Your affiliates learn directly from you. For this reason you must have the best possible mindset. If you are negative all the time how can you expect your downline to be productive? Be positive! Always look for new ways to better yourself and your team. Show them how exciting the industry really is, otherwise you will end up sad and broke!
3.The leader is responsible and admits when they have made a mistake!
When you spend all your money on PPC advertising, using the wrong keywords because you haven’t done your research and you don’t get anywhere, don’t go complaining to your sponsor because they told you to use PPC advertising! Look at yourself every time something doesn’t go as planned and ask “why did this happen the way it did and what can I do to fix this”? Take the blame and learn from it! Don’t pass the buck, hit the books! You will only be successful if you admit your faults and learn from them.
4.The leader is a decision maker!
If you see an opportunity, exploit it! To get anywhere in this industry you must make decisions. Don’t hold back because you are afraid to commit! You must be willing to take risks in this business, be that purchasing a product to help you or spending your time trying something new. Just because you are unsure doesn’t mean you should not take action. Do your research, ask your upline and if it is sound, go for it!
5.The leader puts those they lead first!
If you are selfish and won’t help your own team you wont make a single cent! Every day, go out of your way to help those in your downline! They are the ones that will bring you success, every time you help them, you are helping yourself. Sometimes we all get greedy and don’t want to share something because of fear that we will no longer benefit from it. This is the worst possible attitude to have! Share everything you learn. Treat your people as they deserve to be treated and this alone will skyrocket your profits.
6.The leader sets the example by leading the troops into battle!
Make no mistake about it, you are competing against a massive market. There are millions of people making money off the internet that don’t want to see you succeed. The onus is on you to make the decisions needed to get ahead. Show your people what you are doing and why you do it. They need to learn from experience so provide them with it! Every time you try something, let them know how it goes so they don’t waste their time and money!
7.The leader displays integrity and character!
If you do the dodgy, what sort of example are you setting to your people? If they see you doing something wrong and your benefiting from it, they will do it, and before we all know it, the industry is in disrepute and no one wants a part of it! Be truthful and don’t lie to someone when they ask you a question. If you don’t know, tell them you’ll find the answer and get back to them.
Make sure you show your personality. Don’t reply to an email with a one word answer. Get to know your people and interact, create a relationship! Without this you are simply a name on a screen. Once you start to build friendships you will be amazed to notice your profits growing!
8.The leader strives for success!
Don’t do anything by halves. If your not going to do it properly, don’t do it at all. If people see bad work they will pay no attention. You will waste your time and money unless you use all the tools you have to make the best possible product. NEVER give up! The second you put down tools and walk away, all your hard work is lost! The industry is a hard egg to crack, but once you crack it, it’s the best darn egg you’ll ever eat!
9.The leader strives for personal growth!
If you think you are perfect I suggest you go challenge god to a duel. Everyone can better themselves! There are so many resources on self improvement on the internet its not funny! Use all of these to your advantage. As you grow as a person, your business will follow suit. The way you react to situations, the way you converse with people, the way you look at something and the way you see yourself are all things you can improve to give yourself the “edge” in the industry!
10.The leader is the definition of persistence and determination!
When time get tough…and they will, it is the leader who pushes forward! The leader does not take “NO” for an answer. The leader is constantly moving forward and giving no ground to the enemy! Who is the enemy? FAILURE! Let failure retreat. The leader is determined to be successful and will not fail! Look at yourself in the mirror and ask “am I a leader”?

Marketing deals with a lot more than just the sale itself. Every piece of marketing you send out is going to be to an extent a representation of you and your company, and people are going to make their judgments based on that fact.
Now, while this applies to any form of marketing, I’m going to go with a more specific example for this article, and discuss business card printing.
I think color business cards offer a great view of going for more than just a sale, not because of what exactly you put on your business cards, but because of the way a business card gets handed to a person.
Quite often I engage in a lengthy conversation with someone before I ever see their card. Whether are a trade show or just casual conversation on the street, I’m likely to talk to someone for a few minutes at least before they get around to handing their card to me.
The impression they make on me will have a big impact on the way I view their card and their company.
This is where going beyond the sale becomes so important. The more focused you are on just generating more money from revenue the more this will come across when talking to people. I have to say, I hate it when I can practically see a person staring at my wallet in eager anticipation. I’m talking literally, of course, but figuratively based on the way they converse with me.
They talk about nothing but how great it would be for me if I bought something from them. They try to make it sound as if I simply need to buy something to make my life better.
Sometimes I want to know more about a company before I commit to anything. I want to know whether these people are going to be able to do a good job, and pushing a sale doesn’t tell me anything about that. In fact, it only makes me think that they only care about money, so I can’t trust them to do the best job possible.
The reason why I referred to business card printing is because the way I view the company is going to have an impact on the way I view the company and whether or not I trust them.
